Healing With Sound & Light Combined 12/11/13 By Pamela Minton Throughout the ancient texts there is reference to sound or the word being linked with the creation of the universe. Surly the term uni- verse is a nod to sound as it denotes one rhythm and movement. It seems obvious sound and light stepped down or better yet moved into the 3 rd dimension creating matter. It is the movement, the wave, and energy in motion that creates matter. It is also light and intention. Polarity Therapy is a holistic health system using bi- polar contacts to help a person regain both energetic and physical equilibrium. The teachings are based on Ayurvedic, Acupuncture and yogic understanding of chakras and the pulsating fields and currents flowing from them. Dr. Randolph Stone the creator of Polarity Therapy called them the Wireless Anatomy of Man, stating that energy does not flow in channels, or along nerve fibers, but moves in waves of expansion and contraction in interrelated and harmonic patterns 1. Throughout polarity therapy one can see the imprint of the five elements based on the five notes of the pentatonic scale. I see a link to healing with sound within the different protocols of the motor and sensory aspects of Polarity therapy. Earth, air, fire, water and ether, are movements identical to the platonic solids movement in sacred geometry and how matter comes into form. The healing balances created therefore are further understood. There is even a protocol called the Five Pointed Star, which balances the elements of water, air, fire, and ether. This practice triggered a path I am following as if being guided, to a profound universe of subtle and powerful realms of how creation came into being and how when out of balance within our bodies we can be healed. My intention is to use Polarity, Light and Sound in the future in my healing practice. procedure. Does Sound guide the Light, the electromagnetic aspects of particle and wavelength? This brings up the Lumetron. "The Lumetron is an ocular light therapy instrument utilizing the highest quality glass filters combined with a full spectrum plasma gas light source, producing pure and precise wavebands of colored light held to a strict tolerance and accuracy. The flash rate is adjustable in.1 hertz increments from 0-60 cycles per second" 2. The version I have is the New Photron Light Stimulator. The light stimulates photo receptor cells in the eye converting electromagnetic radiation (light waves) into signals that can stimulate biological processes as well as psychological according to many testimonies in the book Light Years Ahead. I was then led to a teacher by the name of Suzan Dale. Her website is www.seeingthelight.com. She taught Ocular Light therapy. She studied with Dr John Downing, the developer of the New Photron Light Stimulator. The first inventor of the Lumetron was Harry Riley Spitler, M.D in the 1030's. I had to read the book Light Years Ahead, an illustrated book based on 14 doctors and PhD s testimony of working with different modalities of healing with light. I will always remember viewing two slides from The Smithsonian Institute of adrenalin and testosterone. Adrenaline was bright red and crystallized and testosterone looked like blue and white crystalline swords. It verified to me that indeed we were crystallized Light. One of my questions at the beginning of the semester was what came first, sound or light? In the beginning of Walter Russell s book The Secret of Light, he states in the wave lies the secret of creation. He goes on to say The foundation of the physical universe is motion, arising out of unbalanced pairs forever seeking the balanced stillness of unity. 3 He continues to call this the Negative Principle, the physical universe of electric octave waves of opposed light 4. Love, Light and sound are t catapulted out of the void of absolute love from a grand implosion of the Creative Divine Force. I have a video to show which seemingly demonstrates this although this experiment is done with sound in a vacuum of liquid it is still quite fascinating. "The sonoluminescence effect was first discovered at the University of Cologne in 1934 as a result of work on sonar. H. Frenzel and H. Schultes put an ultrasound transducer in a tank of photographic developer fluid. They hoped to speed up the development process. Instead, they noticed tiny dots on the film after developing and realized that the bubbles in the fluid were emitting light with the ultrasound turned on. This seems to prove there is something to look at here. To me this verifies sound is the messenger of the Divine. My question is whether it is possible to visually see a difference in ones ability to see full spectrum light after a program of therapy using sound healing modalities, specifically but not limited to the sound bed. If so, this would visually ascertain that there is healing and balance taking place via sound. The pathways of light in our brains have been expanded and therefore throughout our bodies. The normal intake protocol for the Lumetron is to test all colors on a client to distinguish the least liked from the favorite. Normally a brief intake questionnaire is preformed determining the person s favorite and least favorite color. I would take the least favorite color and put them on a sound bed and play David Gibson's Awakening CD in the note corresponding to the least favorite color. After a session on the sound bed using same note as the color least visually perceived or liked, check the Lumetron spectral vision again to see if the visual perception had increased at all. It might take more time then just one session. My hope and intention is too literally see whether the use of a voice intonations, a sound bed and tuning forks, matching the color with musical notes, may improve our ability to see and perceive the great rays of Light and creation which know step down to create form. Perhaps using light and sound together will give us visual proof that one perceives light more after the experience of healing with sound and consequently is lead to enhanced overall well being and balance. The eyes are connected to the brain via the optic nerve and sound as we know affects our whole body via the vagus nerve. Depending on the out come of this one can verify how well the sound is healing via our multi layered energy fields as well as how well the light is being received. I find it so very apropos that the reciprocal note and color is given to the missing notes in ones voice and the lack of light seen in the Lumteron. Barbara Brennan states in her book Light Emerging, "what we want is usually the very opposite of the fear that we avoid. " 8 She continues to state, there is a direct inverse connection between what we fear and what we want to create. "I find these words a direct connection to using the reciprocal notes to heal. Allowing our feelings to flow helps us to heal. Surely sound greatly assists this as does light. I hope to be able to use both. Intuitively I have always felt that our emotional blocks are crystallized into form if not brought to our conscious awareness for healing. I feel that Light and Sound can benefit one another as stated at Globe Institute and also in the book, Sona: Healing with Wave Front and Bio- Resonance, go hand in hand just as they seemingly did come into creation of the material worlds. As to which was first, as the ancient texts say, in the beginning were the void, stillness, and nothingness. Perhaps a cosmic sigh created sound and then rest is still enfolding.
