WORKSHOP AND SESSION INFORMATION HOW TO WIN OTHERS This workshop is designed to allow young people to learn and share strategies that they employ in their own schools/locales for reaching and discipling. It will further provide opportunities for small group and role play to break monotony. DISCIPLING THROUGH SOCIAL MEDIA This workshop is designed to teach responsible social media skills in life. It will shares strategies for how to disciple best using social media in context of worship WORKSHOP: DISCIPLESHIP THROUGH DECISION MAKING AND BUDGETING This workshop is designed as an open door to conversation/dialogue about Allen University, college preparation, and being on your own. It will address strategies for living a Christian life away from home and discuss the realities of how much money it takes in real world to survive, while being a good steward to your church and community. HOW DO I FIT IN THE DISCIPLESHIP PUZZLE? This workshop is designed as a discussion of avenues available through the AME Church beyond YPD for discipling. The workshop will compel the audience to engage in a Discussion of strategies available for breaking through the bureaucracy in the church (possible panel with ministry representatives). The question will be raised, how can I make my church, the African Methodist Episcopal Church even better YOUNG WOMEN OF DESTINY: BOLD, CONFIDENT, & COURAGEOUS This forum is designed for female teenagers to discuss relevant issues of the day. Panel would need to include anointed, transparent, and exciting FEMALE clergy and FEMALE professionals in education and mental health. This is an opportunity for clergy and professional to disciple our youth with advice, active listening, and support. MEN OF VALOR: STRONG, COURAGEOUS, & RESPONSIBLE This forum is designed for teenagers to discuss relevant issues of the day. Panel would need to include anointed, transparent, and exciting MALE clergy and MALE professionals in education and mental health. Current religious beliefs, such as Islam, Hinduism, etc will be discussed in relation to understanding one s Christ Centered beliefs. The question will be asked what does the Bible really say according to our Methodist tradition on our relationship to other faith groups? Also, how can I know that the title fits ME? LIFE AFTER SALVATION: HOW TO SURVIVE AND THRIVE AS A YOUNG CHRISTIAN This workshop is designed to discuss what happens after we have accepted Christ as our Lord and Savior. We felt great at the worship service. Now, I m going back to home, school, and my environment. But nobody is teaching nor showing me how to be a productive Christian! This workshop will give practical guidance and principles for the young Christian to follow. ME? MAKE DISCIPLES! This workshop is designed to help young people MAKE disciples. Is that sounds like a tall order? Are we asking too much? Come learn practical ways to help fellow students walk, act, and be more like Jesus. HIGH SCHOOL HOOK UP: HE SAID SHE SAID This workshop is designed to address the questions of ss it true that guys and girls can t be friends? If I like him/her, should I say something? Let s have a real conversation and talk about what friendships, dating, and marriage should look like.
