Why Worry When God Has It Taken Care Of? Bible Reading: But my God shall supply all your need according to his riches in glory by Christ Jesus. Phil. 4:19 Introduction: I have shared a verse of scripture that many of us are very familiar with. We have heard it taught about, preached about, and talked about. It is many times I believe a verse of scripture that is so often used that we really fail to grasp and understand what God is trying to tell us. God is telling us that His Children need to stop living a life of worry because He has it taken care of! We all know this, but how many times do we fall short of believing this? Don t you realize that God sees your anxiety and He see s your worries? He knows your concerns He knows all about your problems He knows when you are having faith issues And He knows when doubt and fear is gripping your heart God wants you to know..it going to be all right if you trust in Him! Can God provide for us on a daily and continual basis? In our text we read.that God surely provides for us. How many believe that tonight? I mean really believe it? Abraham said Genesis 22:8 : God will provide.. He is Jehovah Jireh..God the Provider I do not know what you are facing in your life and I really do not know what you need in your life. I do not know your doubts and fears your problems or concerns. I do not know what your spiritual needs are right now. 1
But I know that there is a God in heaven that knows all about it. A God in Heaven that knows all about you! A God who in this service wants to meet the need in your life right now! There are 3 promises of God in our bible verse that we want to explore in this service. I. Why Worry When God Has Promised To Supply Us It said in the first part of the verse.. My God shall supply It does not say that ---my employer shall supply ---my chain of command ---my business ---my wife ---my friends abroad ---my fiancée The verse says that God and God alone shall supply the needs. I want you to know that our God is able! The same God that you believed in for your salvation is the same God that is able to take care of us So Why Worry? He has.. Saved us Forgiven us Blessed us Why do we need to worry now? He is the source of all of our blessings! I am talking about the source of riches in life.a source that will never fail! Rom. 2:4 the riches of His goodness Eph. 1:7 the riches of His grace Phil. 4:19 Now his riches in glory And the source of all these riches is. My God. 2
The problem for many people today is that they look for a stable source of supply in this world.rather than looking to God. Charge them that are rich in this world, that they be not highminded, nor trust in uncertain riches, but in the living God, who giveth us richly all things to enjoy; 1 Tim 6:17 (KJV) This does not mean that cannot have riches, but He is telling us not to trust in them. We need to trust in God then God will give us wisdom and bless our lives. Jesus Said.I am come that they might have life, and that they might have it more abundantly. John 10:10 (KJV) We have a good life. Stop living a life of worry and allow God to bless you! II. Why Worry When He Has Promised To Supply All Our Need It says.. Shall supply all your need.. You have heard me say it many times All your need not All your wants or greed God has promised to meet our need! Have you ever thought man if I could only find an old lamp with a genie in it. All My troubles would be gone. A Genie is different from God. A Genie will give you 3 things you want from him. Three wishes.that s it. But God will give you what you need in your life. He loves to meet our needs but He doesn t limit it to 3 but all our needs! Not only that.god knows how to bless above and beyond what we think or ask. Now unto him that is able to do exceeding abundantly above all that we ask or think, according to the power that worketh in us, Eph 3:20 (KJV) Think about it..superabundantly above the greatest abundance we may ask or even think, according to the power that works in us. His ability is connected with His willingness to do for His people. 3
Why worry when there are no limitations in getting things from God according to the promises. Whereby are given unto us exceeding great and precious promises: 2 Peter 1:4 (KJV) Here s good news, if you have financial needs and if you remain faithful to God, God will be faithful to you! The Lord had said..if ye abide in me, and my words abide in you, ye shall ask what ye will, and it shall be done unto you. John 15:7 (KJV) Not only financial needs also your spiritual needs. If you are not saved and do not know Jesus,.the Lord has provided and supplied a way. For whosoever shall call upon the name of the Lord shall be saved. Romans 10:13 (KJV) The Bible says in Lamentations 3:22-24 It is of the Lord's mercies that we are not consumed, because his compassions fail not. They are new every morning: great is thy faithfulness. The Lord is my portion, saith my soul; therefore will I hope in him. Our God is a merciful God. He is a compassionate God. He is a God that loves you very much! God is full of blessings for each and every one of us. Why worry even when we find ourselves in a situation that we need Protection Our God can supply It says in Isaiah 43:2.When thou passest through the waters, I will be with thee; and through the rivers, they shall not overflow thee: when thou walkest through the fire, thou shalt not be burned; neither shall the flame kindle upon thee. Why worry when no matter where we find ourselves.god can be there with us. Whether it be in North Carolina..Iraq.Afghanistan..or driving down western blvd. He said I will never leave thee, nor forsake thee. Heb 13:5 (KJV) 4
III. Why Worry When God Has Promised To Supply Us His Riches It says in the last part of the verse.. according to his riches in glory. I want you to notice that it does not say. part of his riches in glory, But it says. according to his riches in glory I am so glad that when we get saved and give our life to God that He makes us part of the family. Because we are part of the family of God.We do not have to live in a constant state of worry. We have all of the privileges of being a son or daughter of all Mighty God! That means that the blessings and provisions that God has for us are endless, and it is an abundant supply of our needs according to His capacity. Look what kind of riches the Lord is giving us: The blessing of the Lord, it maketh rich, and he addeth no sorrow with it. Proverbs 10:22 Again I am going to say..god knows how to bless His children! Now, please notice this verse: Matthew 6:32-33 For your heavenly Father knoweth that ye have need of all these things. But seek ye first the kingdom of God, and his righteousness; and all these things shall be added unto you. God knows and most of all when we put God first He supplies! Conclusion: Now that we know that God provides, what shall we do? STOP WORRYING! God has given those who trust in Him His precious promise. He hath given meat unto them that fear him: he will ever be mindful of his covenant. Psalms 111:5 God will keep His word! The text said.. But my God shall supply all your need according to his riches in glory by Christ Jesus. Phil. 4:19 5
I began this service saying.that we have heard this verse taught about, preached about, and talked about. Now you have heard it one more time Now once again God is telling you that He can supply you!
