CONSECRATION GUIDE January 12 25, 2015 And He said, My Presence willl go with you, and I will give you rest. Then he said to Him, If Your Presence does not go with us, do not bring us up from here. For how then will it be known that Your people and I have found grace in Your sight, except You go with us? So we shall be separate, Your people and I, from all the people who are upon the face of the earth. So the LORD said to Moses, I will also do this thing that you have spoken; for you have found grace in My sight, and I know you by name. And he said, Please, show me Your glory. Then He said, I will make all My goodness pass before you, and I will proclaim the name of the LORD before you. I will be gracious to whom I will be gracious, and I will have compassion on whom I will have compassion. (Exodus 33:14-19 NKJV) Bishop Eddie L. Long Senior Pastor

Greetings Family, Fasting in January is like praying in the morning. It is a great way to start the year and sets the course for what is to follow. However, this is not an ordinary consecration and we must be careful not to approach it casually. God is doing a new thing and we have to be positioned to catch the revelation of it. Therefore, at the beginning of 2015, in The Year of the Glory, we come together and consecrate, crying out to the Lord like Moses saying, Lord, Show Me Your Glory! God responded to Moses with great revelation and He will do the same for us. Over these 14 days of corporate prayer and fasting, the Lord will give you greater revelation of who He is, of who you are, and of His manifested glory. In this fast, I urge you to intensify your quest to go deeper in relationship with God. We have to be led by revelation. Revelation is found in the Secret Place with the Lord. When Moses separated himself and went up to the top of Mount Sinai to commune with God, God downloaded a view of Himself, His covenant, what He had already done, and specific instructions for moving forward. As you exercise the spiritual discipliness of prayer and fasting, you place yourself in a position to draw closer to the Lord. You will hear Him more clearly and receive clarity in your spiritual vision. I am honored to be on this journey with you. I declare that this will be an incredible experience as you encounter the living God daily in fresh new ways. Amazed by His Grace, Bishop Eddie L. Long Senior Pastor 2

WHAT IS THE GLORY? Our understanding of glory comes from a Hebrew word kabowd. Kabowd literally means weight, but the term is used figuratively in the sense of the splendor, abundance, and honor of God s presence. The glory of God includes His majesty, fame, recognition, reputation, and influential position; as well as, His beauty, magnificence, strength, dignity, respect, excellence, holiness and greatness. It speaks of His wealth and power. All of these qualities of God are also inside of you. During this consecration, in your quest for God, He wants to show you just how beautiful, majestic, magnificent, splendid, holy, honorable, dignified, respectable, excellent, powerful, strong, influential, wealthy, reputable, recognizable, famous, and great you are. It requires clear revelation from Him on how to access, manifest, and use these qualities for His glory. GOD S GLORY God s glory is revealed to me. God s glory is risen upon me. God s glory is seen in me. God s glory is demonstrated by me. God s glory extends beyond me. God s glory fills the earth abundantly. 3

What Does the Bible say about the Glory? Glory can be given to God (I Chronicles 16:29) Glory can dwell in the sanctuary (Psalm 26:8) Glory can fill the temple (Ezekiel 44:4) Glory can interrupt ministry (I Kings 18:11) Glory can appear (Exodus 16:10) Glory can be seen in a cloud (Luke 21:27) Glory can fill an atmosphere (I Kings 8:11) Glory can move (Ezekiel 11:23) Glory can flow like a stream (Isaiah 66:12) Glory can be shared (John 17:22) Glory can be manifested through miracles (John 2:11) Glory can bring an eternal weight that exceeds affliction (II Corinthians 4:17) Glory can accompany faith (John 11:40) Glory can bring power (Luke 21:27) Glory can be set in nations (Ezekiel 29:21) Glory can give illumination (Revelation 21:23) Glory can be revealed (Isaiah 40:5) Glory can be declared (I Chronicles 16:24) Glory can rise upon you (Isaiah 60:1) Glory can be worn as a garment (Exodus 28:2) Glory can be visible (Luke 9:32) Glory can be seen on you (Isaiah 60:2) Glory can follow you (Isaiah 58:8) Glory can be fresh within you (Job 29:20) Glory can be slept in (Isaiah 14:18) Glory can increase (Psalm 49:16) We must worship the King of Glory! (Psalm 24) Because if not... Glory can wane (Isaiah 17:4) Glory can leave (Hosea 9:11) Glory can depart (I Samuel 4:22) Remember Glory belongs to God (Matthew 6:13) 4

Fasting Instructions In fasting, we discipline the flesh and gain weight in the Spirit. The types of fasts recommended for this consecration are as follows. Ask the Lord which type of fast He is requiring of you at this time. Liquid Fast (Strongly recommended if you are physically able) Partial Fast Daniel Fast In this type of fast, there is no intake of solid foods. All food is replaced with liquids. Liquids can be consumed at any time. Make sure that you drink plenty of water, and you may also include fruit juices, vegetable juices, herbal teas, smoothies, smooth soups and broth. This fast restricts the time of day that you eat. One meal is consumed between the hours of 6:00 pm and 6:00 am. During the day, you can freely intake water and other liquids. This fast is modeled after the spiritual practices of Daniel and his associates as found in the first chapter of Daniel. One abstains from eating meat and animal byproducts, resembling more of a vegetarian or vegan diet by eating what comes from the ground. Media / Social Media Fast For this fast, we abstain from anything that would personally distract us from drawing closer to God. While media may be accessed when necessary for safety and pertinent information, restrictions include, but are not limited to: watching television for pleasure, idle use of social media outlets, playing video games, unnecessary texting, video chats, phone conversations, etc. This type of fast is suggested for those who have physical issues that prohibit them from engaging in food restrictions. However, it is also recommended to be done in conjunction with the above-mentioned fasts. Bishop Eddie L. Long and the New Birth Missionary Baptist Church advise all members and participants of this consecration to consider their personal health needs and to consult their personal physician prior to beginning this fast. Therefore, we specifically disclaim any responsibility from any physical reaction from this fast. 5

Day 1: Monday, January 12, 2015 Show Me Your Glory DAILY DEVOTIONAL And he said, Please, show me Your glory. (Exodus 33:18) Throughout our consecration, our prayer is Lord, please show me Your glory. This simple prayer is a request for God to reveal Himself in ways that you have never seen before. Our God is multi-faceted and multi-dimensional. He is innovative, creative, and inexhaustible. He never repeats Himself. God always exceeds Himself. His thoughts, ideas, and methods are so expansive and beyond our natural comprehension, that it takes God to believe God! Father, I let go of every preconceived notion I had about You and open myself to Your limitless possibilities. Lord, please show me your glory! Day 2: Tuesday, January 13, 2015 Show Me Yourself In Me For I consider that the sufferings of this present time are not worthy to be compared with the glory which shall be revealed in us. For the earnest expectation of the creation eagerly waits for the revealing of the sons of God. (Romans 8:18-19) The world is looking for glory and that glory is inside of you. The whole earth is groaning and travailing for the revealing of the sons of God. Guess who the earth is looking for?... YOU! Not broke you, not drama filled you, not pitiful you. Not a you that just talks about what you suffered. Not a bitter you, but a better you. The world is looking for a healed you, a powerful you, a mover and a shaker; someone with honor, splendor, position, power, grace, holiness. You are the visible manifestation of the invisible God. God, please show me what's in me. Let your glory be revealed in me. If I can't see it internally, it won't manifest externally. 8

Day 3: Wednesday, January 14, 2015 Show Me Your Eternal Weight Therefore we do not lose heart. Even though our outward man is perishing, yet the inward man is being renewed day by day. For our light affliction, which is but for a moment, is working for us a far more exceeding and eternal weight of glory. (II Corinthians 4:16-17) The glory is all that God is. Just as God is everlasting, His glory is the realm of eternity. It is infinite, boundless, with no restrictions. It s beyond the imagination of man. God s glory is not bound by time. That means that when it seems too late for an intervention, it s not too late for God. Heavenly Father, I trust You to go beyond the limits of my thoughts and exceed my interpretations of time. Let Your exceeding and eternal weight of glory sit in the situations that I bring before You today. Day 4: Thursday, January 15, 2015 Show Me Your Already So it shall be, while My glory passes by, that I will put you in the cleft of the rock, and will cover you with My hand while I pass by. Then I will take away My hand, and you shall see My back; but My face shall not be seen. (Exodus 33:22-23) Have you ever felt like God turned His back on you? God showed Moses His hinder parts, not to disrespect him, but to reveal another side of Himself. Moses had become used to talking with God face to face, but this time God repositioned Himself. He was present, but He did not let Moses see him. He came by, but did not let Moses feel His presence. He kept Moses safely tucked away, shielded by His hand. When Moses looked up, all he could see was God s back. Instead of the normal view, God showed him the backside of life. He revealed how everything had worked together for good. When God turned His back on him, He was showing Moses what was and Moses was able to write the first 5 books of the Bible by divine revelation of things that happened before his time. Moses 9

wrote detailed accounts about events that he was not present for because God revealed to him what happened. It s all God. It s all done. God is giving clarity now of the already. Father, I settle myself in your glory so that you can reveal to me what You have already done. I receive supernatural wisdom, knowledge and understanding in Jesus Name. Day 5: Friday, January 16, 2015 Show Me Your Revelation But we speak the wisdom of God in a mystery, the hidden wisdom which God ordained before the ages for our glory, which none of the rulers of this age knew; for had they known, they would not have crucified the Lord of glory. But as it is written: Eye has not seen, nor ear heard, nor have entered into the heart of man the things which God has prepared for those who love Him. But God has revealed them to us through His Spirit. For the Spirit searches all things, yes, the deep things of God. (I Corinthians 2:7-10) We have to be led by revelation. You cannot trust everything you see. You definitely cannot believe everything you hear and you better not rely on everything you feel! I Corinthians 2:14 says, The natural man does not receive the things of the Spirit of God, for they are foolishness to him; nor can he know them, because they are spiritually discerned. God is letting us in on age-old secrets. Information that had been a mystery for ages has been released to us now. God operates on a need to know basis and there is something you need to know, but never asked for the revelation to manifest. Do it and open yourself to receive supernatural downloads from God today. Lord, I thank You for being the revealer of secrets and hidden mysteries. Today, I ask You to manifest revelation knowledge in me regarding everything I need to know now. 10

Day 6: Saturday, January 17, 2015 Show Me Your Increase The glory of this latter temple shall be greater than the former, says the Lord of hosts. And in this place I will give peace, says the Lord of hosts. (Haggai 2:9) Some researchers say that stress is the leading cause of death. The stress of what you have been through is not designed to kill you but to strengthen your resolve in God. Stand on His Word and know that He has peace available for you. God operates in increase. He moves from faith to faith, from strength to strength, and from glory to greater glory. Heavenly Father, I thank You for the revelation of increase. Because of Your glory in my life, my life is characterized by increase, expansion, marked development, rapid improvement, acceleration, and excellence. Day 7: Sunday, January 18, 2015 Show Me Your Weight Arise, shine; For your light has come! And the glory of the LORD is risen upon you. (Isaiah 60:1) You have God s glory (His weight) upon you, but the kabowd of God does not weigh you down, it lifts you up. His presence empowers you and strengthens you. This is the time for you to advance and don t be discouraged. Every time you get up under the power of God you get stronger. Through every experience in God, your spiritual muscles are being built up. There is a reward for lifting weights and not quitting. It makes you better. Keep at it and you become the master of it. The weight makes you look good. Keep praying, fasting, worshipping, studying God s Word, and fellowshipping with other believers. Keep lifting the weights and be consistent in lifting. It will bring forth a far more exceeding glory. You will like how you look when you finish. 11

Mighty God, thank You for placing Your weight on me. I declare that I am strong and well able. I am strengthened by Your glory in my life that enables me to advance, pursue, overtake, overcome, succeed, prosper, and shine for You. Day 8: Monday, January 19, 2015 Show Me Your Manifestation And the Word became flesh and dwelt among us, and we beheld His glory, and the glory as of the only begotten of the Father, full of grace and truth. (John 1:14) We are the visible manifestation of the invisible God. All the attributes of God took on flesh when Jesus came to earth so that people could see God s glory. They didn t have to go to church to see the glory. The glory walked among them. Because of Christ in you, the hope of glory (Colossians 1:27), now the world can see the glory of God in you. They look at you and behold the power, the majesty, the wealth, the promotion, the honor, the increase. Lord of Glory, You have given us a blessed hope through Jesus Christ and He has blessed us to demonstrate a living hope for the world. Let Your glory be seen in me and draw others to You. Day 9: Tuesday, January 20, 2015 Show Me Your Riches Do not be afraid when one becomes rich, when the glory of his house is increased. (Psalm 49:16) Wealth, honor, position, and power come with the glory. It is a realm of sowing and reaping, accelerated harvest, debt freedom, irreversible increase, enduring riches, and a long season of uninterrupted blessings. If you want your wealth, you ve got to get in your purpose. Your purpose can only be revealed to you by God. When you are in your 12

purpose, He always gives provision. The key to keeping the riches is to continually catch the revelation God releases concerning wealth and obey it, all the while not worshipping the riches but worshipping God. Lord, I thank You for the blessing that makes me rich and adds no sorrow with it. Reveal my purpose and I thank You for great provision. Lord, please show me your glory! Day 10: Wednesday, January 21, 2015 Show Me Your Light For behold, the darkness shall cover the earth, and deep darkness the people; but the LORD will arise over you, and His glory will be seen upon you.the Gentiles shall come to your light, and kings to the brightness of your rising. (Isaiah 60:2-3) There might be darkness around others, but the glory, the promotion, the increase, the healing, multiplication, authority, influence, manifestations of the grace and power of God in the midst of surrounding darkness is on you. In darkness, you go toward the light to find your way out. The Gentiles will come to your rising. They will identify you by your holy garments, by the authority when you speak, by the manifestation of the blessings in your life. Those who want to see God, can look at you. You look like your Father. Abba, in the darkness, let the light of Your glory be seen in me. Let others be drawn to me today and seek Your wisdom from me. The glory is on me. 13

Day 11: Thursday, January 22, 2015 Show Me Your Beauty And you shall make holy garments for Aaron your brother, for glory and for beauty. (Exodus 28:2) The difference in you can be seen from the inside out and from the outside in. During this consecration, God is purging you. He is purifying your soul, sanctifying you, releasing habitual sins, and ridding you of needless traditions. Now let the outside match the beauty produced on the inside. From your countenance to your clothes, let God make you over. He makes great exchanges. He gives beauty for ashes, the oil of joy for mourning, the garment of praise for the spirit of heaviness (Isaiah 61:3). Let the attributes of our heavenly Father be displayed in you and on you. Father, I thank You for showing off Your magnificence, excellence, strength, dignity, holiness and excellence in me. I bear Your image and Your likeness. I am beautiful just like You inside and out. Day 12: Friday, January 23, 2015 Show Me Your Protection For I, says the Lord, will be a wall of fire all around her, and I will be the glory in her midst For thus says the Lord of hosts: He sent Me after glory, to the nations which plunder you; for he who touches you touches the apple of His eye. (Zechariah 2:5,8) God s glory is a protective covering. When the Israelites were in the wilderness, they were covered by a cloud of glory in the daytime and a pillar of fire at night (Numbers 9:15-16). The fame of God went out to her enemies that God protects His children (Numbers 13:13-14). Here s good news: God s glory has never stopped leading, guiding, and protecting His children. Even in Revelation 10:1, John recorded how he saw a mighty angel come down from heaven clothed with a cloud and his feet like pillars of fire. There is safety in the presence of the Lord. 14

Mighty God, thank You for surrounding me with the shield of Your glory. I bless You and honor You for Your constant protection of me and my family in Jesus Name. Day 13: Saturday, January 24, 2015 Show Me Your Power Every valley shall be exalted and every mountain and hill brought low; the crooked places shall be made straight and the rough places smooth; the glory of the Lord shall be revealed, and all flesh shall see it together; for the mouth of the Lord has spoken. (Isaiah 40:4-5) God has a history of making public displays of His power. Whether on Mount Carmel with Elijah and the prophets of Baal, Noah and the flood, healing a colony of lepers, or feeding over 5,000 people at once, God puts His glory on display. His glory is best seen in crisis situations and we are most receptive when we are in trouble. So God says, I will shake all nations, and they shall come to the Desire of All Nations, and I will fill this temple with glory. (Haggai 2:7) Father, thank You for making my life a showcase for Your glory. You have brought me out of every troubling situation so that my testimony can bless others. Day 14: Sunday, January 25, 2015 Show Me Your Kingdom And do not lead us into temptation, but deliver us from the evil one. For Yours is the kingdom and the power and the glory forever. Amen. (Matthew 6:13) God cannot be contained in one place. God s glory cannot be contained in one region, nor can it be confined to one area of your life. He is establishing His Kingdom as it is in 15

heaven, here on earth. For the earth will be filled with the knowledge of the glory of the Lord as the waters cover the sea. (Habakkuk 2:14)The world will come to know of the glory of the Lord through you. Continue to take the limits off of what you believe God can do, who He can use, where He can move, and when He can manifest His power. During this consecration, you have been made free to live in God s glory. You have His weighty presence. You have cultivated His holiness, excellence and greatness inside of you. Walk on with strength, dignity, influence and respect. God has placed His greatness on display through you. His Kingdom has come. His will has been done, on earth as it is in heaven! Lord, I invite Your glory to continually permeate every area of my life. Let Your presence, favor, strength, and greatness be seen in my relationships, finances, health, ministry, and in the marketplace, so that I can draw others to You. Release Your glory throughout the nations. Your Kingdom has come and Your will is done in Jesus name. Amen. Now to the King Eternal, immortal, invisible To God alone who is wise, Be honor and glory Forever and ever. Amen (I Timothy 1:17) 16
