Jesus was praying...and when He had finished, one of His disciples said to Him, Lord, teach us to pray He said to them, When you pray, say: Father, hallowed be Your name, Your kingdom come. Give us each day our daily bread and forgive us our sins for we ourselves forgive everyone in debt to us, and do not subject us to the final test. Established in 2010 through a merger of St. Margaret Mary and St. Gregory the Great Parishes, Sacred Heart of Jesus Parish is a vibrant center of Catholic worship, education, Faith formation, service, evangelization, and community life. Through these apostolates, we seek to enable our members to establish and nurture a relationship with Jesus Christ and carry forth His mission in the World.
PAGE 2 From the Pastor s Desk... My Dear Brothers and Sisters in Christ, I pray that your summer is going well. Please remember that we continue to have many bills to pay and that we will be supporting our new Corpus Christi Academy from our offertory collections. I would ask that you continue to be generous and that if you happen to be away that you would remember those envelopes as well when you return home. I have received some very sincere thank you messages from Fr. Hubert s bishop, his home parish, the parish where he was pastor, and from their spiritual formation center for the various liturgical items we donated to them. Father Hubert was so very appreciative as well. I was happy to help the work of the Church in Africa in the name of our parish. May God s blessings be yours this week. Father Ireland The Sacred Heart of Jesus Respect Life Committee says Thank You!! to all the volunteers and everyone who made donations to the recent baby bottle campaign, Loose Change Changes Lives. CORPUS CHRISTI ACADEMY: PARISHIONER UPDATE by Mr. Ken Mitskavich, Principal Parishioners, families, and Friends: As we come to the end of July, Corpus Christi Academy is taking shape! The building has a new coat of paint in each classroom and a blue and red stripe in the hallways. The office has a different configuration, fresh look, and carpeting has been installed! Our technology coordinator has been busy ensuring each student will have either an Ipad or Chromebook as well as a Smartboard in each classroom. Lastly, we have a media center with the removal of a wall that separated the Library and Technology rooms. Check out all of the construction pictures on our school website: ww.corpuschristiacad.org or on Facebook: https:// www.facebook.com/corpuschristiacad.org/. We ask for your prayers as we are about to have the big move where we truly combine the best of both worlds between Saint Clare and Sacred Heart of Jesus. The teachers went through both buildings to ensure that the students have what they need to be successful in their learning endeavors at Corpus Christi Academy. What an amazing time we are going through. God Bless, With God, All Things Are Possible Ken Mitskavich, Principal NEEDED: PSR INSTRUCTORS...
