Standard 7.2.3 Objective/Goal for learning today: To learn the Qur an and the Sunnah provide Muslims with important rules and examples on how to live a moral life.

Before & After Islam Before Islam People are polytheistic Rich were to help the poor but were not doing so The Qur an Arab people can own slaves Women have few rights gives these guidelines! After Islam Monotheistic Charity is a must! People are encouraged to not own slaves Women are given rights The Qur an states that women should be able to own property, earn money and be educated Muslim women still have fewer rights than Muslim men

God s messages to Muhammad What is the Qur an? Qur an Muslims believe it s the word of God Muhammad s words & deeds

What are the beliefs of the Qur an? #1 teaching only one God, Allah, and Muhammad is his prophet

Project time!!! Creating Your Own Website Use your notes from the last 3 sections Use the paper provided to design a home page with a minimum of 3 links Muhammad s Homeland aka Geography of Arabia! Who Was Muhammad? Explain what you have learned about Muhammad What is Islam? Details you could give someone who knew nothing about Islam.

Website Write minimum of 5-7 sentences for each link on your Website. Because you re a Pre-Ap student, your project should be neat, clean and highly academic! Use good choices for vocabulary Plenty of pictures and color Be creative!!!
