The Last Two Days Adam and Eve were created only after all of God s other creations were on the Earth. God gave Adam dominion over all the Earth. That means he had a responsibility to take care of the Earth and all its creatures. It took six days, or creative periods for the Lord to create the Earth. God rested on the seventh day. He has asked us to honor this day and keep it holy. Today we call it the Sabbath. You can read the story of the Creation in the Bible. It is the first story in the book of Genesis. The Bible is made up of many books. Prophets of God wrote these books to record God s word and stories of faith. They wanted to remember the blessings God gave to his people. They wanted us to be able to read about God s laws. They wanted us to learn about having faith in God and obeying his commandments. When we read the story of the creation, we can see God s power.
