Level of demand = 4 Compared to other courses (e.g. BIBL 104, PLED 450, etc), the reading is much lighter. This course relies heavily on other learning activities in addition to reading. Level of demand = 8 This course contains 13 online, narrated ppt lectures averaging 40-60 minutes in length. In addition to narrated ppt lectures, this course requires the student to listen to 5 30minute video clips from an external web site. This course relies heavily on this type of learning activity. Level of demand = 6 This course contains five online multiple choice & true/false exams. This course is rated lower in demand with regard to exams difficulty due to the fact that very clear & concise Exam Study Guides are provided to the student for every exam. Level of demand = 5 This course contains three online Graded Discussion Boards. There are time-sensitive requirements for each discussion board (meaning, the student must post within particular assigned weeks of the course) but the requirements are clearly stated and defined.

Level of demand = 4 This course contains two written papers. The assignments are profitable as the demand is light. Namely, because the format is provided online for each paper and the subject matter is based on personal experience unlike a typical research paper. Additional comments: This is a very well-organized course. Students often comment of how they new exactly what was required of them especially in the area of course requirements. The student will feel very connected to their fellow classmates as there is a healthy portion of interaction and encouragement among the class. Regardless of the spiritual caliber of the student a believer in Jesus Christ or a seeker the student will be able to do well in the course academically and participate in every exercise without distinction.

COURSE DESCRIPTION An in-depth study of how to lead people to Christ. Special attention will be given to the theology of all aspects of evangelism, including the follow-up. Various methods of approach and presentation will be considered. Emphasis will be placed on evangelism and the local church for conservation of results. I. RATIONALE This course is designed to introduce the student to basic principles of Christian living as they prepare the believer for evangelism. Special emphasis will be placed on the biblical teachings pertaining to the importance of the individual spiritual purity and an informed passion to evangelize the lost. The Bible, with its prescriptive teachings and guiding principles, will be the central focus and sole foundation for the development of this spiritual and skill development. Upon the completion of this course, it is believed that the student will be more adequately prepared to evangelize the lost in today s culture while equipped by intricate biblical teaching in order to continue their spiritual maturation long after the completion of this course. Discipleship Comprehend the biblical principles of Christian living, including the basic steps leading to spiritual growth and maturity and the fundamentals of living a Spirit-filled life. Comprehend the relevant passages of Scripture that are presented in class that make prescriptions to discipleship. Identify the differences between evangelism and discipleship and comprehend how each aspect compliments the other. Assimilation Comprehend the basic biblical teaching of the development of the New Testament local church and the value of every believer s involvement in the church. B. Affective and Performance Objectives Upon completion of this course the student will have demonstrated the ability to: Evangelism Synthesize the learned method(s) of evangelism and Scripture memorization with at least one personal witnessing presentation to an unbeliever.
