The Campaign for Human Development works to break the cycle of poverty through grants to local community-based groups who create jobs, improve education, and strengthen neighborhoods. ALL SOUL S OBSERVANCE November is the month of All Souls. Our All Soul s Observance will be a collaborative event celebrated at Saint Helen s Church next Sunday, November 5 during the 11:30 a.m. Mass. Following the homily, a roll will be read of the members of our collaborative family whose funerals were celebrated at Saint Mary s and Saint Helen s this past year. Holy Mothers Collaborative October 29, 2017 ALTAR SERVER TRAINING Training for students in grades 4 to 12 who desire to serve at Mass will be held on three consecutive Tuesday afternoons from 4:30 to 5:30 p.m.: Tuesday, November 7 (Saint Mary s), Tuesday, November 14 (Saint Helen s), and Tuesday, November 21 (Saint Mary s). Attendance at all three training sessions is required in order to prepare to serve at both churches. In preparation for these sessions, we ask the parents help in reinforcing that serving at the altar is both a privilege and responsibility. Those interested must have a strong commitment to learning and carrying out the ministry. Servers who were recently trained are encouraged to come as a refresher. NEWLY DEDICATED HMC LIBRARY Our new HMC library is located in the hospitality area of Saint Mary's Church just off the back parking lot. The library a free lending library of Catholic and Christian books which are intended to help us improve our knowledge, understand our faith, and enhance our spirituality. There is a selection of books by Pope Francis, Matthew Kelly, and many others that we hope you find interesting and helpful. The selection will be kept current and varied. The procedure to borrow a book is very simple: sign out a book and return it when you are finished no overdue fines. So, take a look, browse, enjoy! Please note that we are not accepting donated books at this time.
