64th National 2013 Youth Conference Youths with Biblical Principles! Enjoying our new era of edification and growth, we are confident by the time summer arrives; the young people will be enthusiastically waiting for our customary enlightening and inspiring Youth Conference services. There are Conferences, and there is the Youth Conference! Change is inevitable and the youth has no difficulty in doing just that changing our weeklong Conference into four days; and not only that, our annual Outing has moved from Thursday to Saturday! Our wonderful Conference begins Wednesday, July 10 th thru Sunday, July 14 th and is full of interesting activities, so much so, we re predicting that you will need a vacation from your vacation. Wednesday, July 10 th Youthcoming, 2013 Welcome to our 64 th National Youth Conference! This year our Social will have a College Home Coming theme; Youthcoming 2013. This is our meet and greet day, and we want everyone excited to see each other. We also want you to Show some spirit! Dig deep in your closets, and bring back old Youth Conference t-shirts and alma-mater t-shirts, yes, you can still fit it! This is your time to show some school/military/vocational team spirit. No youthcoming is complete without a Battle of the Bands. Each participating band will present their musical talents in our youthcoming featured event. Time: 3pm 6pm CST Location: Back Parking Lot Cost: $10 Later The first night sneak out will close out the Conference s opening day s activity. This activity is restricted to the 18 and older crowd and H.Y.O.R. (Have Your Own Ride). The older age group will be headed to Dave & Busters for a night of games, food, and fun. Time: 8pm 11pm Location: Dave & Busters, 1030 North Clark St.
Thursday, July 11 th *New schedule, Outing moved to Saturday 2 tracks + 1 purpose = Overall Growth Track 1: Let s Talk Relationships, starting off on the Good Foot. This activity is primarily for our 18 35 year olds; focused on building healthy and solid relationships. The young people will have an active discussion regarding the full cycle of relationships; how to meet someone, how to maintain communication, how to be respectful while dating, knowing when the right time to get engaged is, plus, knowing when they are, or are not, ready for marriage. Activity outline attached. Location: Chicago Church Cost: $10 Track 2: Get up and get active, the 10 17 year olds will have the opportunity to learn about healthy living and exercise. We will take the youth to an offsite location to have a day full of activities that promote a healthy lifestyle. Location: University of Illinois at Chicago (UIC) Campus Recreation Cost: $15 Thursday Night: Praise and Worship Service Praise ye the Lord. Sing unto the Lord a new song, and his praise in the congregation of Saint, Psalms 149:1. This special service was designed to show the Lord our thanks and appreciation for all that He has done for us. We will sing with our mouths, clap with our hands, and lift up a joyful noise unto the Lord.
Friday, July 12 th Community Service: Giving back is our reasonable service Each year we incorporate a way of giving back and helping others through our community service efforts. The young people will perform community service with: Feed My Starving Children With God s help Feed My Starving Children (FMSC) will strive to eliminate starvation in children throughout the world by helping to instill compassion in people to hear and respond to the cries of those in need. Saturday, July 13th *New Outing Date ANNUAL OUTING: Recreation is Required Our Youth Conference would not be complete without the Outing. Join us as we participate in an afternoon of structured activity. Location: Forest Preserve District of Cook County 536 North Harlem Ave. River Forest, IL 60305 Time: 11am 4pm Following the Outing The last Hoorah Just when you thought our weekend was over, just when you thought our weekend was done, Wheel of Fortune here we come. We will play Wheel of Fortune for gift cards and prizes. Time: 6pm 8:30pm Location: downstairs dining room
