WELCOME! Printed name tags are in the foyer for high school students, members and regular attenders. Please wear your name tag during the worship service! Guests can request a printed name tag by completing the Welcome Card found in the bulletin. Communion takes place the fourth Sunday of every month and the Deacon Fund offering is taken. This fund is to help those who have special needs within our church and the community. OUR NURSERY Nursery is provided year-round during the worship service for children from birth through age two, and is located in Room 204. Two-year-olds go to Room 206 for their own Sunday School time when the other children are dismissed. CHILDREN S SUNDAY SCHOOL We use The Gospel Project curriculum, a three-year chronological timeline of the Bible. Children ages 2-3 meet in Room 206, ages 4-5 meet in Rooms 201 and 205. Kindergarten-2nd grade meet in Room 210 and 3rd-5th grades meet in Room 207. Children are dismissed from the sanctuary after the Congregational Prayer (about 9:45 a.m. - an announcement is made). Classes are dismissed at 11:00 a.m. after Fellowship Time. Sunday School classes for kindergarten through 5th grade are not held on Communion Sundays (4th Sunday) so the children may partake with their parents. For questions regarding Sunday School, email spefcsundayschool@gmail.com. CHURCH OFFICES WILL BE CLOSED Monday, December 26, and January 2, the church offices will be closed.

AWANA HAPPENINGS Cubbies & Sparks 5:45 7:15 p.m. T&T Boys & T&T Girls 5:45 7:20 p.m. Every Wednesday when school is in session There is no AWANA Club this Wednesday. YOUTH HAPPENINGS Play, eat and laugh at the youth group s game, movie and pizza night on Wednesday, December 28 th from 7 p.m. to 10 p.m. at church. This event is for all students in grades 7-12. Registration and information for the summer 2017 mission trip to Puerto Rico and the winter Crescent Lake trip are available outside of Pastor Rod s office. UNDERSTANDING & ANSWERING ISLAM DeForest EFC is offering a unique opportunity to learn more about Islam. A FREE simulcast will be held on January 13 from 6 8 p.m. and will continue Saturday, January 14, from 8 a.m. 2:30 p.m. The presentation is being given by RZIM (Ravi Zacharias International Ministries). Speakers will include Andy Bannister, Mark Durie, Stuart McAllister, Abdu Murray, Richard Shumack, Sasan Tavassoli, and Al Fadi. The church is located at 501 Country View Drive in DeForest, WI. KNOWING OUR MISSIONARIES Rob Weise is the Student & Family Ministries and District Events for the Forest Lakes District, EFCA. His ministry is to train and encourage the youth pastors and lay youth workers in Wisconsin; to develop and lead the Districts Youth Conference; develop relationships with lead youth workers in each church; and to help in growing the youth ministries both spiritually and numerically.
