FALL NEWS! At Trunk-or-Treat, costumed children walk through the parking lot, stopping at cars that have decorated trunks and they receive candy. The best part of this fun tradition is choosing a theme and decorating the trunk o f your car. Some people keep it simple, and others go all out. The "trick" seems to be finding something you're passionate about (or something you already have a lot of stuff on hand for) and displaying it in your trunk as creatively as possible. If you've got Christmas lights, sports gear, cardboard, or fake cobwebs, you can have a creepy or cool trunk in a flash. If you're feeling even more ambitious, your creativity (and budget) is the only limit! Faith Formation will be hosting our annual Trunkor-Treat on Friday, Oct. 27th from 6:30-7:30PM. We would like to invite all parishioners to join us with a trunk. You can set up any time after 5:00PM. If you don t wish to decorate your trunk, that s okay, please feel free to join us it s all about the kids! The Youth Ministry will be hosting a Zombie Walk to benefit our Homeless Outreach program which feeds over 150 hot meals to the homeless in our area every Sunday (they were even there feeding those in need the Sunday of the hurricane). This will be held at the same time as the Trunk-or-Treat in the parking lot, on the chapel side of the church, and is open to all. If you don t wish to walk, please consider sponsoring a walker. For additional information on Trunk-or-Treat or the Zombie Walk, please contact Barbara at 819-5134 or balvarez@saintmichaelchurch.org.
