TRI - PARISH NEWS SVDP EASTER FOOD BASKETS During this time of Lent, we are planning to provide Easter food baskets to approximately 150 families. A basket consists of the following items: a turkey or ham, sweet & white potatoes, fresh vegetables, salad mix, salad dressing, gravy, stuffing mix, cranberry sauce, rolls, butter, eggs, fruit, dessert, milk, beverages, coffee, tea and an aluminum roasting pan. The cost of the bus trip, based on 40 participants, is $1199 per person double occupancy and will include accommodations in two 4-star hotels, 4 breakfasts, 3 dinners, guided tours of Quebec and Montreal and lots of free time. The program will be a 4 week program for Kindergarten to 4th grades and a six week program for 5th through 8th grades. This year participants will have instruction on the track as well as in the field events: high jump, shot put, long jump and hurdles with experienced track and field coaches. Anthony Mizzi-Gili, Seminarians of the Acrchidiocese, Bryan Mercier, and the Franciscan Friars and Sisters of the Renewal; music by Jess Nayden; and Mass with Bishop Peter Byrne. The retreat will have daily Mass, Adoration, a Eucharistic procession down to Vassar College, and will have entertainment for the teens.
