More information on praying through Advent can be found on our website, RLCIndy.org. Sunday, December 3: Mark 13:24-37 Mark 13:24-37 Vibrant, Liturgical Worship: Heavenly Father, as we come into Your house of worship, let us offer our thanksgiving for all that has been and all that has yet to come. Father when we enter Your holy house, let us do so with joyful hearts. Let us lift up our eyes to heaven. Help us to clear our minds so that we may participate fully in worship services. Let us praise Him in the house of the Lord with songs of joy and thanksgiving. Let us rejoice in His word. Father, we ask Your help in opening our ears to hear the inspired scriptures and messages. Open our hearts to the Holy Spirit. Open our eyes that we may truly see You in one another. Help us to slow down and rejoice in the opportunity to worship You. Amen. (Susan Fleck)

Imagine what would happen if we could redirect even some of that spending toward the things that really matter, like putting an end to hunger. With ELCA Good Gifts, you can do just that. All of these gifts can be given in honor of friends or loved ones and make great alternatives to traditional Christmas gifts. Shop by visiting ELCA.org/goodgifts. QuiltMakers will not meet in December. Join us on Saturday, January 13 and Thursday, January 18 from 10:00am-4:00pm. They will be receiving nuts and bolts information on how to get a visit with a care receiver off to a good start. Your prayers are most welcome during this time of anticipation and excitement as our trainees are very close to completing the initial training and moving on to caring for those who are in need. If you are someone who could benefit from a Stephen Minister please contact Susie Johnson or one of the pastors.
