Transcription:

From shepherd... to slave... to ruler in Egypt After the events at the Tower of Babble, people travelled to many places around the world. The Bible follows the life of one family and a man called Abraham who had two sons, Ishmael and Isaac. Isaac married and had two sons, Esau and Jacob. After many adventures, Jacob married also and had twelve sons. The picture here shows one of his youngest sons, Joseph, who lived quite an amazing life. Joseph grows up as a shepherd boy, but as a teen was sold into slavery by jealous brothers. He was then carried off to Egypt to work for many years in the house of an official Egyptian. But through misfortune, Joseph was thrown into jail. However, God had a special plan for Joseph and several years later he was called to appear before Pharaoh to interpret dreams. Pharaoh was so impressed with Joseph s ability to interpret dreams that he chose him to become his second in command over all of Egypt. Sound amazing? Read this extraordinary story in Genesis chapters 27, and 39 to 41.
