EASTER AND THE CROSS Easter (as in Easter Sunday and Good Friday), comes from the word Ishtar pronounced more commonly, Easter. Easter and Christmas, like many other holy holidays of the Christian church are pagan in origin. These celebrations are an abomination to Adonai. Ishtar/Isis, is the name of a pagan Babylonian fertility goddess. She was also called Semiramis and Queen of Heaven (Jer 7:18). Easter is the spring celebration of the Babylonian sex goddess Ishtar. It is common knowledge among many of our clergy today that Easter is a heathen celebration, and yet no attempt has been made by most of these so-called leaders to correct this abomination to Adonai. Hosea spoke for Adonai about this kind of thing happening because of ignorance in Hosea 4:6 My people are destroyed for lack of knowledge, Because you have rejected knowledge, I will reject you from being My priest. Pay close attention to what this passage truly says. People (Believers) die because of their own lack of learning from the Word of YHVH, and Believers are also destroyed because of the priests who know what is right and what is wrong, and refuse to teach what is right. This is not to be taken lightly. To properly explain where the Pagan celebration of Easter and the pagan symbol of the cross came from, we must search back into Genesis at the time of Noah, 1500 years before the Christian era. Noah s son Ham, had a son Cush who became the father of Nimrod. Nimrod, (who s very name meant he rebelled ). Going back to the days after the flood, there was a great abundance of wild animals on the earth. The people always had trouble trying to live among these animals. Then Nimrod appeared on the scene, (this was about 300-400 years after the flood), he became a mighty hunter and protected the people from the wild beasts. Because of this he became respected above all others. Nimrod became a government type leader and a religious leader amongst his people, and had great knowledge. He devised a plan to gather the people together in groups and built gigantic walls surrounding these groups and then called them cities, protecting the people from the wild animals. Nimrod created the first Kingdom of people as stated in Genesis. He established the Tower of Babel, and Babylon, also called Shinar, and other great cities of those days, including Ninevah. The kingdom of Nimrod is the first mentioned in our Bible (Gen 10:16). Gen. 10:9-10 He was a mighty hunter before Elohim; therefore it is said, Like Nimrod a mighty hunter before Elohim. And the beginning of his kingdom was Babel and Erech and Accad and Calneh, in the land of Shinar. Nimrod was considered to be a great hunter and killer and was rebellious before Adonai like his father and grandfather who were cursed by Noah, (Gen 9:25). Nimrod created a government of tyranny that surpassed the peoples fear of Yahveh. The people did what he said and he ruled over the land. He became a self appointed god and his wife Semiramis was called the Queen of heaven. Semiramis was worshipped as a mother and child deity and he was worshipped as Baal (the Sun god). Nimrod insisted the people build a tower reaching to the sky, in honor of him. As we know, this Tower of Babel was destroyed and the people were scattered all over the country speaking in various new languages (Gen 11:9). Although they all used new languages, the stories and customs they were used to, were carried on under many different names. This is why the same deities like Semiramis and Nimrod were called so 1

many different names. Although named differently, they were worshipped everywhere, and the customs, rituals, and symbols of worship were all similar. Much of the Babylonian worship was carried on through mysterious symbols, that is why it is called mystery religion. Babylon was the source of all systems of idolatry. Nimrod, a master warlock, is the originator of ASTROLOGY. He is also the one who created the basis of white and black magic. Nimrod married Semiramis, a powerful witch that had sold her soul to Satan. Nimrod became a mortal divine, god and was called Moloch or Molech in the Renewed Testament (Acts 7:43), and Milcom, Bel, or Malchum in the Old Testament (2 Kings 23:13, Zeph 1:5, Lev 18:21, Jer 32:35). Many people sacrificed their children to these gods. Nimrod is thought by many to have been killed by Shem (Noah s son), because of his occult practices and rituals. After his death his body was cut up in many pieces and sent to various parts of his kingdom as depicted in (Judges 19:29/1Sam 11:7).!! Semiramis pronounced herself to be the Queen of Babylon and Nimrod to be the god of Babylon, or god of the Sun, otherwise known as Baal (Judges 2:13). After Nimrods death, Semiramis, having heard the prophecies of the Messiah s birth to a virgin mother, gave birth to Tammuz and claimed herself to be the virgin mother and Tammuz to be the son of the virgin mother, later to be known as Jesus. Tammuz was Satan s imitation of the true virgin birth of Yeshua, through Mary, over thousands of years later. His birth was celebrated with the lighting of many candles because Nimrod was symbolized as fire. Tummuz was then declared the little sun god because he was the re-incarnation of the real sun god, Nimrod. Little Sun god was soon abbreviated to Sun god or Baal. Tammuz was the resurrected son of the sun god. Semiramis, through guidance of her astrologers, declared Dec. 25 th. as the holiest day of worship and Baal s (Tammuz) birth date, because it was the period of the winter solstice ; a time of the year when the sun was farthest away from the earth. This is where the date for the supposed Christian birth of Yeshua (Jesus), got it s origin, later to be called Christmas by the heathen Christians. According to a legend of Tammuz, after he was slain, he descended into the underworld. But through his mothers (Ishtar s) weeping, he was mystically revived in the spring of the year. The resurrection of Tammuz through Ishtars grief was dramatically represented annually in order to ensure the success of the crops and the fertility of the people. Each year men and women gathered to grieve with Ishtar over the death of Tammuz and celebrate the god s return in order to win anew her favor and benefits. This legend may is referred to in Ezek. 8:14 Then He brought me to the entrance of the gate 2

of Yahveh s house which {was} toward the north; and behold, women were sitting there weeping for Tammuz. The symbol of the cross was used by many pagan gods as a heathen symbol. There were many goddesses of fertility called many different names in various countries, many years before the word Christian was ever used. Although called by many different names and worshipped as many different deities, the Mother and child symbol of the various pagan religions originated with Nimrods wife, Semiramis. Although known by various names Semiramis was always attributed as being the wife of Baal. The Assyro/ Babylonian goddess, Semiramis, otherwise known as the Queen of heaven, goddess Mother, Anat, Beltis, Rhea, or goddess of Ishtar, (Easter), was one of many goddesses of that pagan era who used the cross symbol when making human sacrifices. Semiramis created the cross as a sign of remembrance of her and Nimrods son, Tammuz, commonly known as a Sun god, god of plants, or Baal, (Ezek. 8:14). Semiramis proclaimed herself as the goddess, Queen of Heaven, Queen of Babylon, otherwise known in Italian as Madonna. Semiramis commanded that babies be sacrificed to her and Baal. The ritual used for the child sacrifices included the sign of the cross being cut into the babies chest after having its heart removed. In the scriptures we find a reference to the queen of heaven. Jer. 7:18 The children gather wood, and the fathers kindle the fire, and the women knead dough to make cakes for the queen of heaven; and {they} pour out libations to other gods in order to spite Me. more reference to her is found in Jer. 44:17 But rather we will certainly carry out every word that has proceeded from our mouths, by burning sacrifices to the queen of heaven and pouring out libations to her, just as we ourselves, our forefathers, our kings and our princes did in the cities of Judah and in the streets of Jerusalem; for {then} we had plenty of food, and were well off, and saw no misfortune. In both chapters of Jeremiah 7 and 44 we find Yahveh warning people of these occult practices. Many believe that Astaroth, referred to in Judges 2:13 and 1 Sam 12:10 was also another name for Ishtar (Semiramis). This stake/cross represented an idol of the death of Messiah long before the event took place. Anything that represents an idol or image, in Yahveh s eyes is a cursed object, as stated in the second commandment. Yahveh is a spiritual being, a Shekinah glory, therefore there is NO OBJECT that can represent Him. Not the cross/stake, not the Bible, not the altar, no entity, no material thing, can represent Adonai (Yahveh). The cross was clearly a pagan symbol 1,400 years before Yeshua came in the flesh.!! 3

Paul knew the cross/stake was the ultimate heathen symbol, He referred to this in His teaching. Paul talks about the humbling experience of Yeshua at Calvary. Phil. 2:8 And being found in appearance as a man, He humbled Himself by becoming obedient to the point of death, even death on a stake. Here Paul says even death on a stake. By this Paul is meaning death in itself is one thing, but dying like a common criminal is demeaning and ultimately degrading, but Yeshua did it for us anyway. If you look at a better version of this verse, found in the "Complete Jewish Bible", you will see what the real Hebrew meant. Phil. 2:8 "And when he appeared as a human being, he humbled himself still more by becoming obedient even to death--death on a stake as a criminal!". Yeshua was treated as a common criminal, this was extremely demeaning. In 312 AD Emperor Constantine, one of Christianity s best camouflaged enemies, received a vision of the cross ; the same cross that was used in pagan human sacrificial ceremonies in the time of Nimrod and Semiramis. In this Satanic vision, Constantine was told to conquer nations. He did so under the guise of Christianity which he knew little about, although he duped many into believing he was a Believer. Constantine proved his spiritual ignorance when he later killed both his wife and son. There is not One encyclopedia article that does not bring Constantine's so-called conversion into question. Yet a couple of billion people today are following his edicts. He conned the early church leaders into taking on pagan rituals in order to gain acceptance. He was a major player in the origin of the perverted Christianity we have today, which started out being called the Roman Catholic Church. The cross Constantine saw in his vision, turned out to be the very instrument and symbol that the Crusaders and the Spanish armies would use while murdering millions of Jews back in the times of the crusades and Spanish inquisitions. The famous so-called hymns Onward Christian soldiers, and Christ we adore thee, in fact, were written and sung in honor of these horrific events. The crusaders marched with crosses and sang supposed hymns while murdering millions of innocent men, women, and babies. While they burned the Jewish people alive in the synagogues, they claimed to honor the Jewish God of Abraham, Isaac and Jacob, and a Jewish Messiah. The early Believers didn t think of the stake that Yeshua died on as a virtuous symbol, but rather an accursed tree, a thing, a weapon of death and shame Hebr. 12:2 fixing our eyes on Yeshua, the author and perfecter of faith, who for the joy set before Him endured the stake, despising the shame, and has sat down at the right hand of the throne of Yahveh. The apostles spoke of what the stake did for us, but they certainly never glorified it. They preached of what was accomplished on the stake, not of the horrific stake itself (1Cor 1:17-18). They would never have had its image put on a chain and hung around ones neck as a protector, or charm. This usage came many years earlier through pagan Believers. 4

The T sign of the cross (Tau) stood for Tammuz, Semiramis s divinely born son. The Greeks depicted crosses on the headband of their god corresponding to the god Tammuz of Babylon. Porcelli mentions in his writings that the goddess Isis which corresponded to Semiramis, or Ishtar, was often shown with a cross on her forehead. The high priests of Semiramis the Queen of Heaven, carried crosses during processional marches through the streets of old. The temple of Serapis in Alexandria, was surmounted by a cross. The temple of the Sphinx, when unearthed was found to be made in the form of the cross. The flags and banners of the Persian heathens were carried on crosses during their battles with Alexander the Great in 335 BC. Patagonians used to tattoo their foreheads with crosses long before Christianity. The cross was a mystical symbol long before it was used by the heathen Romans for crucifixion. The cross as we know it, was used to display human sacrifices to their pagan gods. It was a heathen symbol used a great deal by the Phoenicians, the Chaldeans of the old world, the Mexicans before Christianity was ever introduced, and numerous other places all over both hemispheres. Buddhists used to mark the foreheads of their followers with the sign of the cross. The cross was the symbol used in India to mark jars of Holy water taken by the Hindus out of the Ganges River. Some women in Kabyle (Mohammedians), carve the cross symbol between their eyes, similarly to the third eye symbol of Hindu worshippers all over the world. When the Spaniards first landed in Mexico, long before Christianity had ever been heard of, and long before any Believer had set foot on that soil, they found the pagans worshipping the cross symbols made out of wood. In the book of Jeremiah he speaks of those who worship wood, and call it Father, that is what is meant. Jer. 2:27 Who say to a tree, You are my father, And to a stone, You gave me birth. For they have turned {their} back to Me, And not {their} face; But in the time of their trouble they will say, Arise and save us. This is the way Satan twisted and counterfeited the truth of a resurrected Messiah to come according to scriptures, (Is 7:14 and 9:6). He deceived millions of people back then, and is still deceiving them today through the works of his anti-messiah, demon spirits, principalities, powers and rulers. Deut. 12:31-32 You shall not behave thus toward Adonai your Yahveh, for every abominable act which Elohim hates they have done for their gods; for they even burn their sons and daughters in the fire to their gods. Whatever I command you, you shall be careful to do; you shall not add to nor take away from it. Matt. 15:9 BUT IN VAIN DO THEY WORSHIP ME, TEACHING AS DOCTRINES THE PRECEPTS OF MEN. The ancient Roman coins of 46 BC show the god Jupiter holding a cross. The crucifix is the heart of the occult in YHVH s sight, it is a cursed thing, as described in Deut. 7:26 And you shall not bring an abomination into your house, and like it come under the ban; you shall utterly detest it and you shall utterly abhor it, for it is something banned. Behind the crucifix are strong demonic forces giving off tremendous power, similar to what we have seen in our vampire type movies, but from Satan, not YHVH. The Jewish law of old stated that all stakes used for crucifixion had to be burned after use. 5

There are various forms of the cross. They are known as the Latin cross, Tau cross, Calvary cross, Celtic cross, St. Andrews cross, Greek cross, and Maltese cross, etc.. The earliest form of what is commonly called the cross is from the pagan Egyptians, centuries prior to the Christian era. It was called Crux Ansata, or Sign of life, born by Osiris, Semiramis and all other Egyptian gods. The cross was also used in Roman parades on the vexillum that carried the heathen flags. The Ankh or Tau cross commonly worn by priests and nuns today is a regular looking cross with a oval loop on the top. This cross symbol is as heathen as it gets. Other then being a symbol of Tammuz, it represented the reincarnation and worship to Ra, the sun god of Egypt. The Ankh, when seen with a 6 pointed star, meant that the initiate had given up His virginity and practiced orgies. The cross called St. Andrews cross is a heathen symbol that appeared on the coins of Alexander Bala in Syria in 146 BC. and on those of Baktrian kings about 140-120 BC., long before St. Andrew was ever born. EASTER EGGS AND RABBITS The Easter bunny rabbits and the eggs are pagan symbols of fertility. The rabbit and the eggs represent incredible reproduction and fertility closely associated with the fertility goddess Ishtar. Some believed the egg was the symbol representing the origin of all things. Egyptians thought it was the symbol of the creation of the world. Some say the god Geb (who represented earth), and the goddess Nut (who represented the sky), had a son Osiris (called Lord of the underworld), who was represented by the egg. This egg that was the symbol of Osiris, represented the universe. Many believe the easter egg was then adopted also as the Bennu Bird, Peacock, or Phoenix symbol, which represented the sun. This pagan Phoenix symbol, indoctrinated by the government leaders of the United States by the Jesuits, and Illuminati, was the symbol originally used on the seal of the United States of America. The Bible is very clear Yah s people are not to adopt pagan religious practices, but are to honor the one true God. Such worship is in vain. Deut. 12:30 beware that you are not ensnared to follow them, after they are destroyed before you, and that you do not inquire after their gods, saying, How do these nations serve their gods, that I also may do likewise? The Feast of Pass-over involves the removal of all yeast and leavened food products from the house. It is the custom of Believers who properly celebrate this feast of unleavened bread, to take their children and go throughout the house looking for bits and pieces, crumbs of bread that the mothers have hidden in various places throughout the house. By getting the children involved in looking for leaven (sin), in the house, the children are taught why sin (yeast), is to be removed from the house to celebrate the feast as in the day of the real Pass-over in Egypt. The children are taught that yeast represents sin and must be removed from the premises. This activity of children looking for yeast hidden in various areas of the house, is where the idea of hidden easter eggs and 6

chocolates came from. The finding of easter eggs in today s pagan custom is an abomination, a symbolic teaching for children which started thousands of years ago. The original custom attributed to symbolize the word of YHVH was counterfeited by Satan and made acceptable to the heathen practicing Believers of this new age. Another legend of the egg says that the egg was a sacred symbol of the Babylonians, who believed that an egg of wondrous size fell from heaven into the Euphrates River. From this egg the goddess Astarte was hatched and the egg became symbolic of her. During ancient rituals of the Canaanite priests of Ishtar, the priests would go into the cave of Tammuz (just below what is now the King David Hotel, across from the Japa Gate) on Ishtar SUNday and impregnate virgins on the altar there. This is also the origin of Easter Sunday sunrise service, which is the first sunday after the spring equinox. One year later they would take the three month old children and sacrifice them to the fertility goddess of Ishtar (Easter). They would save the blood from the sacrifice and use it to die eggs blood red in honor of Semiramis, who supposedly came back to earth in an egg. The Greek Orthodox church to this day uses only one color for its Easter eggs. This blood color is because of the blood sacrifices of Tammuz. Most don t even know why, to this day. They are so entrenched in paganism it is sickening. The Druids had an egg as a sacred emblem in their idolatrous religion. The famous procession of Ceres was proceeded by an egg. China used dyed, or colored eggs in their sacred occult festivals. In the mysteries of Bacchus an egg was often consecrated. In Japan they made the egg a bright brazen color. In Europe eggs were colored and used as symbols of the goddess of spring. The Egyptians associated their eggs directly with the sun, as sacred offerings at the pagan time of Easter. In order to Christianize these pagan eggs, someone came up with a brilliant idea and proclaimed that the egg represented Jesus. As the chick comes out of the egg, Jesus came out of the tomb. Pope Paul 5th. (1605-1621) even appointed a special pagan prayer 7

for Easter. Bless, O Lord, we beseech thee, this thy creature of eggs, that it may become wholesome sustenance unto thy servants, eating it in remembrance of our Lord Jesus. The rabbit was a pagan emblem of fertility simply because of its incredible reproductive capability. The hare is associated with the moon in legends of old Egypt and other nations. The Egyptian word for hare is um, which means also open and period, thus the hare was symbolic of the idea of periodicity, both human and lunar. This was associated with the beginning of new life as in young men and women, in regards to fertility. So, the hare stood for renewal of life and fertility. It may or may not be coincidence that the word um is a common New Age Mantra used during meditation to summon demons. The evidence of continued innocent following of heathen tradition still exists today in many cites of the world in the form of an Easter Sunrise Special Service, when people go to church early Easter Sunday morning and supposedly worship Adonai, yet stand and honor the rising of the Sun god in the East. Yah gave us His opinion of this practice of praying to the East in Ezek. 8:16-17 Then He brought me into the inner court of Yahveh s house. And behold, at the entrance to the temple of Yahveh, between the porch and the altar, {were} about twenty-five men with their backs to the temple of Elohim and their faces toward the east; and they were prostrating themselves eastward toward the sun. And He said to me, Do you see {this,} son of man? Is it too light a thing for the house of Judah to commit the abominations which they have committed here, that they have filled the land with violence and provoked Me repeatedly? For behold, they are putting the twig to their nose. If you look at the word Easter you will see it has East in it. The church of the Holy Ceplikur/Ceplicure (a supposed revealed religious site in Israel), is built over the remains of the temple of Aphrodities (Ishtar). The most famous street in the world, the Via Del Orasa leads to it. The church of the Nativity is built over the ruins of the old Temple of Tammuz, often called the cave. The actual punishment of the cross (crucifixion), was attributed to Semiramis. This punishment was used all over the old world, in Egypt, Assyria, Palestine, Greece, Rome, and Persia, to list a few. The reason playboy magazine uses a bunny as their maskot, is because it stands for the easter bunny fertility goddess. The Greek word for cross, used in the Renewed Testament, stauros, actually means upright stake or post. During Mass a Catholic priest makes the sign of the cross 46 times. There is an old legend stating that Constantine had one of the nails used to crucify Yeshua, fastened to his helmet, and another one fastened to the bridle of his horse. This was said to fulfill the prophecy of Zech 14:20. The CROSS or CRUCIFIX, is Christianity s most obviously mis-used symbol. The cross, we are lead to believe, is the symbol of our respect and reverence of the crucifixion of Yeshua at Calvary. We are doing exactly the opposite of what YHVH would have us do. Yeshua s death on the stake was the ultimate, most horrifying thing that probably ever happened to Adonai. Our Father had to give His own Son to die for us as 8

the blood atonement. This was the ultimate sacrifice, for many reasons including the forgiveness of our sins. It was the worst thing that ever happened to our Yahveh. The scriptures say; cursed is anyone who hangs from a tree, this is Yahveh s opinion of the event at Calvary, and yet we have been lead to use the cross as a symbol of our love and respect for Yeshua? Think about it; if YHVH would have wanted glorification to be applied to the stake symbol, He would have told us loud and clear like He told of the Ten Commandments. If He would have wanted us to give any reverence to this horrifying object, He would have let us know. Yahveh knew it was a heathen symbol and that s why He wants NO REVERENCE WHATSOEVER given to it. We must never get the last letter of the Hebrew alphabet, "tav", confused with the cross. Tav in Hebrew pictograph looks like "crossed sticks". Crossed sticks is an "X", not a cross. Many people say it s what s in our heart that YHVH is truly concerned about. If our heart is truly concerned, then why are we worshipping and giving reverence to the most horrific symbol known to mankind. The most dreaded thing (symbol), that we could possibly use to insult YHVH, many use to supposedly honor Him. It s like putting salt on a wound. Claiming that it gives honor to our Father and Yeshua is blasphemy. In fact, it gives honor to the most horrifying moment YHVH has ever had to deal with on this earth. It gives honor only to our most dreaded enemy Satan, and his anti-christ. To think that priests, nuns, etc., hang this symbol around their neck, and make the sign of the cross on people they are ministering to, is scary. Please note that if you watch closely, when Catholic Priests or nuns make the sign of the cross, it is done in the shape of an UPSIDE-DOWN cross, the same used in witchcraft. The cross is not to be worn or used in any way by saints. The only time the cross symbol should be used is when one is teaching the pagan origin of in, to discredit its use, or to explain why to not use it. In general, jewelry takes away from the person it is displayed on. The attention should always be on the child of Abba, not on what she or he is wearing. It gives attention to the created, rather than the saint wearing the symbol. It is the love, salt, life and light of the saint that is to stand out, not a shiny object that catches ones eye. If anything takes away from you, His saint, then it doesn t bring glory to Him. It is also very easy to become a prideful object, and we all know what pride leads to. Wearing nothing, in regards to jewelry, brings the full attention to you as a saint. Attention is then focused on you, your light, your words, your very countenance, as a saint and child of the most high. The word Easter has been mis-transliterated in the KJV in Acts 4:12. Here the Greek word pascah is mistakenly translated as Easter when it should be Passover as in the NAS. To prove this, look at Hebr. 11:28 where the same word pascah is used properly as Passover. This word pascah is translated differently every time it is used in the Renewed Testament KJV. In 1Cor. 5:7 it is used as Passover again. The word pesach, commonly accepted as Passover in the Old Testament Hebrew, is thought by many to actually mean protect, not Passover. Yahveh protected the houses that the Death Angel came to. Yeshua was crucified on a Wednesday, but whether you believe Yeshua was crucified on a Wednesday or a Friday is not the most important issue. The important thing 9

to keep in mind here, is that we do not give any reverence whatsoever to Easter during the celebration of this occasion. We must do what Adonai told us to do, celebrate Adonai s Feasts of Pass-over, Unleavened Bread and First Fruits in remembrance of Yeshua s death. Do we serve Adonai or another god, ISHTAR? Believe it or not? In days of old, at Easter time, some Christian clergy would inflame the faithful in their congregations with a vengeful message that the Jews killed Messiah, and the people of the church would go to the Jewish part of town and beat and club to death Jews for the death of their Jesus on the stake. In some Catholic churches it became an annual custom at Easter to drag a male Jew into the church service, spit in his face and slap him in the face, in front of the altar. I submit to you, if we could arise a pagan from the grave, he would feel right at home in most of the proclaimed churches today. He would feel comfortable keeping all the pagan holidays: christmas, halloween, valentines day, easter, and lent, etc.. He would feel right at home in most churches. He would, in fact, probably be an elder. (Mar 16/16) Jerry Hennig 10
