In India, there are millions of children who attend school, (as many as 84 per cent of children in villages attend Government schools) sit on the floor in the class rooms in the most unhygienic conditions without school desks. These children spend almost seven hours in the school sitting on the floor which affects not only their posture but also their growth. Children sitting on the floor and reading & writing are prone to get back ache & neck pain. It is advisable for children to sit on dual desks rather than sitting on the floor as it can lead to curvature of the spine getting deformed in their growing age. By providing school desks, we are not only making them comfortable... No doubt the attendance in the class rooms will increase.... and to have the opportunity to learn in a better environment and peace.
