This complete Buddhist pilgrimage package will include journey three important destinations: Kathmandu, Pokhara and Lumbini. We will tour Swyambhunath, Boudhanath, Kopan Gumpa, Seto Gumpa, Shanti Stupa, Pharping monastery, Namo Buddha and a few others. The tour will not just be a sightseeing experience but much more than that: It would be a learning experience about Buddha and Buddhist religion.
If you re interested in doing meditation in this tour, we will arrange for you to spend some time with monks in monasteries and learn mediation. Day 02: Full day sightseeing in Kathmandu Valley Accommodation: B.B. in Kathmandu Hotel Highlights: Visit 5 UNESCO World Heritage Site monuments 07.00am: Breakfast at hotel. 08.00am: City tour guide will pick you up from your hotel for day sightseeing tour. We will visit the following sites: 1) Boudhanath Stupa: one of the largest and holiest Buddhist stupas in Nepal. It is a UNESCO World Heritage Site. 2) Swayambhunath Stupa: Also called the Monkey Temple, Swayambhunath is one of the oldest Buddhist Stupas in Kathmandu Valley and a World Heritage Site. 3) Pashuatinath: It is the holies Hindu shrine and one of the four major pilgrimage sites for Hindus
4) Kathmandu Durbar Square: It is a medieval collection of statues, palaces, courtyards, temples and narrow alleys. It is also a UNESCO World Heritage Site. 5) Patan Durbar Square: Another world heritage site, Patan Durbar Square is equally mesmerizing and enchanting. 02.00pm: Lunch 03.00-04.00pm: Relaxation in hotel. 06.00pm: Dinner at Nepalichulo Restaurant with Nepalese cultural dance performances. 08.00pm: Return to hotel. Day 03: Drive from Kathmandu to Pokhara Accommodation: B.B. at a hotel of your choice Highlights: Travelling to Pokhara along Prithivi Highway with amazing views of hills, rivers and Himalayas as backdrops. 06.00am: Breakfast at hotel. 07.00am: Pick up from hotel and board on a private van for a ride to Pokhara. It may take about 6 hours to reach Pokhara. 09.30-10.00 am: Tea break at a highway restaurant at your own expenses. 11.30-12.30pm: Lunch break in Mungling. Continue the drive to Pokhara after lunch. 03:00pm: Arrive in Pokhara. Check in at Hotel Trekkers Inn. Welcome Drinks. Rest and relax 04.30-06:00pm: Guide will pick you up from the Hotel for a pleasant walk around Phewa Lake. 06:30: 08:00pm: Dinner at a lakeside Restaurant. Day 04: Full day sightseeing tour in Pokhara Accommodation: B.B. at a hotel of your choice Highlights: We will visit lakes, caves, museum, stupas and temples in Pokhara. 06.00-07.00am: Breakfast at hotel.
07.30am: Pick up from hotel for a whole day sightseeing tour of Pokhara. 1) Davis Fall: Davis fall is one of the most visited waterfall site in Pokhara. The fall was named after a tourist who fell over the fall accidentally and lost his life. The waterfall flow about 500 feet through the natural tunnel at the depth of 100 feet from ground level. 2) Bindhabasini Temple: The temple is central attraction of Phewa Lake as it is located right at the center of the lake. You will have taken a wooden boat to reach the temple. 3) Gupteshwor Cave: The Gupteshwor cave is an interesting holy site in Pokhara. Dedicated to Lord Shiva, the cave consists of worshipping site within its deep cavity. This venerated cave contains a huge stalagmite worshipped as a Shiva s Lingam. 4) World Peace Pagoda: Standing on top of the Ananda hill, Shanti Stupa adds more beauty to Pokhara Valley. We will have cross the Phewa Lake and trek uphill but its worth visiting the pagoda. The view from the top is amazing especially of the Pokhara valley. The hilltop also provides a splendid view of sunrise and sunset. Tripadvisor has ranked Shanti Stupa as top second attraction in Pokhara. 5) International Mountain Museum: Nepal s mountain museum and perhaps the first in the world, the museum a must visit since it contains lots of information about the history of mountaineering including documentaries and historical artifacts. 01:00-02:00: We will take a break from sightseeing tours for lunch in a restaurant. After breakfast we will continue our sightseeing. 04:30: Return to hotel. You could freshen up and relax. 05:30-06:30: Enjoy the evening beside the Fewa Lake. 07.00-08.00pm: Dinner at a local restaurant. Return to hotel for night s rest. Day 05: Drive from Pokhara to Lumbini Accommodation: B.B. at a hotel of your choice Highlights: We will travel along the highway with scenic views of the rivers, hills and villages 07.00am: Breakfast at the Hotel. 08.00am: Tour guide will pick you up at your hotel and drive to Lumbini. We will visit the following sites: Maya Devi Temple: It is the most sacred site in all of Lumbini. The temple consists of nativity stone, which is considered to exact mark where Prince Buddha was born. Recent explorations have discovered further artifacts belonging to Buddha s time. Sacred Garden: The sacred garden is where Buddha mother Maya Devi spent her time around the time of giving birth to Buddha. International Monasteries: We will visit the monasteries of various countries including Thailand, Burma, German, Chinese, French Nepalese, Korean, and Indian among others. 11.45am: Return to hotel 12.30-1.30pm: Lunch at the hotel.
