EDUCATION FOR LIFE! Good Morning and Welcome! Prayer before worship: O Heavenly Father, I cast my care upon you, knowing you care for me. Such is your promise, now and forever. Strengthen my soul, as my trust is in you. In Jesus' name. This Week s Prayer List - remember these in prayer: We pray for a portion of Zion s family and friends James and Debra Rolf; Paula Rolf; Wesley Rolf; Victor and Jeanette Rolf; Wallace Rolf; Lila Rolf; Randall Rolf; Joycelyn Rolf; Irene Rolf; and Kevin Rolf. We pray for those under the care of a physician, undergoing treatment and therapy; for all difficulties and the ability to meet obligations and a strong faith for every need. Today we will distribute Bibles to our third graders and rededicate ourselves to the ministry of education here at Zion. Sunday School starts today during the sermon in Mr. M s room! Delores Ische passed away Sunday evening (9/3) and her funeral was Saturday. Blessed are all who live in the Lord. Thank You to all my Zion friends who sent me cards, letters, and phone calls during my long illness. Your visits and offers of help were greatly appreciated. May God bless you all for your kindness. -Jeanette Rolf Martin Luther: The Idea that Changed the World will air Tuesday, September 12 at 7pm on PBS (Chan 2). Narrated by Hugh Bonneville (Downton Abbey) and starring Padraic Delaney in the title role, the film brings to life the great adventure story of Luther's struggle. Filmed in Europe, the 2-hour special will feature theologians / scholars from a variety of Christian traditions. Next week we will begin a series that further explores the impact of Luther on the world.
