Pictures of each flag and a brief historical description are included. 1006: Apron It is made of white poly-cotton twill with an embroidered purple LWMS logo centered in the middle of the bib and has two pockets (six inches deep). The 25 x 18 ½ bib apron has a neck strap and waist ties. 1007: Pill Box It is white polypropylene construction with inscribed letters and Braille letters to designate days of the week. There is a purple LWMS logo imprinted on the front. The size is 15/16 x 5-3/4 x 1-1/8. 1008: LED Key Chain Hold down the white button to activate the LED light. Size is 1-1/8 x 2-1/8 x ¼. 1010: LWMS Newsletter This is a yearly subscription of three issues of the official LWMS newsletter with the latest information for you to share with your circuit and congregation. (It is mailed free to LWMS reporters and circuit officers and can also be obtained on our website.) 1011: LWMS Sunday This service, entitled Holding up the Prophets Hands, focuses on supporting mission work in different ways, while also offering an opportunity to bring attention to LWMS. It can be used as is or adapted by the worship leader. 1018: LWMS Note Cards These blank white note cards with envelopes have the LWMS logo on the front. They are folded across the top and come in packages of ten (10). 1019: LWMS Round Stickers Purple and white one-inch round stickers with "Lutheran Women's Missionary Society" and "United to Serve Jesus" around its perimeter. There are 40 stickers on each sheet. 1020: LWMS Half-Sheet Flier A half-sheet glossy color flier explains LWMS, who we are and what we do. These fliers are designed to be used by congregations to promote LWMS. Suggested uses: Insert in new member packets; bulletin insert reminders for upcoming LWMS related events or rallies (see the blank rectangle at the bottom of the flier to write or put a label with contact information or dates and times); invitations for your local LWMS meeting or rally to women who haven't been active; distribute them at an Advent by Candlelight event, women s Bible studies, or women s retreats. 1021: LWMS Spanish Half-Sheet Flier This is the same as the LWMS Half-Sheet Flier, except that it is in Spanish in order to reach out to our Spanish-speaking sisters. Poster or display idea for encouraging member involvement. 7007: Develop a Prayer Corner for Your Congregation Encourage the members of your church to pray for missions using these easy directions for creating a prayer corner in your church. 7008: BAM Tree & Flower Projects Three projects where you can create trees or flowers to focus on each member of a missionary s family. S k i t s 8001: Exercise Woman A one page, one-woman skit (don t worry; you get to use cue cards!) that encourages everyone to exercise the soul. 8002: Here I Am, Send Me By E. Mohr (LWML); adapted by LWMS for commemoration of the 30th Convention Anniversary (1993). This short skit uses a leader plus four readers. Women at four stages of their lives discover everyday mission opportunities they had not noticed before. An added introduction adapts the skit for LWMS anniversary celebrations. An optional introduction adapts the skit for Christmas with or without an anniversary celebration. 8003: Joy of Service This five-page skit offers two examples of LWMS meetings. Dialogue shows how rally attendees can be encouraged to support missionaries (also includes facts on Thailand). 8006: You Are the Salt of the Earth Jesus tells his disciples they are the SALT of the earth. Use S.A.L.T. to teach your women how to be the salt of the earth. No memorizing! 8007: The Door This skit follows three women who have completely different approaches to common witnessing situations. Learn how to share your love for the Lord with others. 8008: Diet and Exercise This skit involves your whole being body and soul! Fun for small or large groups. 8009: Jesus Loves Me This skit explains why we should reach out to our non-english speaking neighbors. 8010: Little Red Hat Lady This skit is a take-off on the story, Little Red Hen. We all need to participate in supporting missions. 8011: Can you Fix our Missionary? Is your missionary really broken or does he just need a little support? This skit reminds women of the value of our support through prayers and encouragement leaving the final outcome to the Holy Spirit. flags from every country in which we do mission work. A written commentary is included. Each flag has a pole and base. You can reserve a few or all of them. They are available to groups who are able to transport them back and forth from the LWMS Central Office. L002: Miniature Flags Same set as above (minus the WELS flag). These flags are 3 x 5 on ten-inch staffs with their own bases and can be used as tabletop displays. L003: LWMS Banner Display Retractable LWMS Banner provides an eyecatching display for use at your Rally or mission event. This banner includes the LWMS logo and is attractive and colorful. May be used as a table-top display or extended to its full length as a floor display. The retractable design allows for mailing to interested groups. L004: LWMS kids c.a.r.e. Display This is a tri-fold display board with pictures from the current kids c.a.r.e. project.
