P a g e 1 Let us pray The Omega of Apostasy Study #5 The title of today s study is: "The Alpha The Omega" Part 4 This is the fifth part of a series on the Godhead. If you have missed any of the four previous parts in this series, I encourage you to get copies and not only read them, but study them. The first was titled Who is Your Comforter? The other three were titled, The Alpha The Omega Parts 1, 2, and 3. In review, in part 3 we discussed the 2 basic understandings of the Godhead: Trinitarian and Non-Trinitarian. Under the Trinitarian view there are two primary but different views: The three Gods in One or Triune God. This is not necessarily the view of historic SDA Trinitarians. The Tri-theism view or three separate and distinct, co-eternal Gods. This is the more popular view of those who call themselves historic SDA s. Their understanding is that there are three separate and distinct Gods who have always been, and not one preceded the others, nor did He come after the others. This view believes that there is not a true Father-Son relationship from eternity and would believe that Jesus did not become the begotten Son until Bethlehem. They also believe that the three are role playing and that the Father-Son is only a metaphor. The Non-Trinitarian believes that there are: Two Divine Beings in the Godhead and that the Father is the eternal God with Jesus having been begotten of the Father at some point in eternity. That He came forth with the same substance as the Father and that the Father gave His Son all His attributes including Omniscience, Omnipotence and

P a g e 2 His Omnipresent Spirit which is a shared Spirit and would be the third Person of the Godhead. We have cited numerous S.O.P. quotes which are the Testimony of Jesus, coupled with the many writings of pioneers that show clearly that Ellen White and the pioneers were definitely non- Trintarians. Anyone who says they are historic SDA s, may be correctly teaching the pillar doctrines such as the Seventh day Sabbath, the Sanctuary, the state of the dead, etc., however when they say they believe and teach what the pioneers believed and taught, they are wrong if they hold the Trinitarian view. There is an amazing thing that is going on in the world today, throughout the 13 divisions of the world church, among the 18+ million Seventh-day Adventists. I believe it is in response to the Prophets words, Point after point of truth should be investigated; for there is no limitation to the truth of God, For years the voice of God has been saying to us, "Agitate, agitate, agitate." Study every point of truth, that you may know for yourselves what is truth in distinction from error. Let this work be done in the Spirit of Christ. {SSW, April 1, 1892 par. 4} She said we are to study every point of truth so that we will know and be able to separate it from error. All around the globe there is an awakening in the church of Laodicea to the real truth about the Godhead that our pioneers believed and taught. What is the result so far? There is a shaking going on in God s church and Sister White predicted it. I asked the meaning of the shaking I had seen, and was shown that it would be caused by the straight testimony called forth by the counsel of the True Witness to the Laodiceans. This will have its effect upon the heart of the receiver, and will lead him to exalt the standard and pour forth the straight truth. {CET 176.1} We have known for years that this shaking was coming to

P a g e 3 Laodicea and many have been speculating as to what was to be the cause. Some said spiritual formation, others women s ordination, some say the emerging church movement, etc. But there has not been an issue that has caused so many in leadership to become so angry and rise up against it. Listen to what else she said would happen: Some will not bear this straight testimony. They will rise up against it, and this is what will cause a shaking among God's people. {CET 176.1} No one wants to believe they are wrong and may have been teaching false doctrine. I indeed had to repent for I once taught the false doctrine of the Godhead. But some react to the point that their veins stand out on their necks and their anger becomes near rage. She goes on to say: I saw that the testimony of the True Witness has not been half heeded. The solemn testimony upon which the destiny of the church hangs has been lightly esteemed, if not entirely disregarded. This testimony must work deep repentance; all who truly receive it will obey it, and be purified. {CET 176.2} Here is an important quote that God s prophet wrote found in Testimonies to Ministers page 411 paragraph 1: When God puts His Spirit upon men, they will work. They will proclaim the word of the Lord; they will lift up their voice like a trumpet. The truth will not be diminished or lose its power in their hands. They will show the people their transgressions, and the house of Jacob their sins. {TM 411.1} Jeremiah 6:16 tells us, Thus saith the LORD, Stand ye in the ways, and see, and ask for the old paths, where is the good way, and walk therein, and ye shall find rest for your souls.

P a g e 4 Well now we are going to see how the alpha of deadly heresy became the omega. Satan has worked with all cunning and craft. The strongest opposition to change was when our pioneers, including God s prophet were alive. But then as the pioneers began to die off and with the passing of Ellen White over 100 years ago, July 16th, 2015 compromises began to trickle in. Through the 1920 s, the 1930 s and even into the 1940 s our historic faith was still being embraced by the majority, however the foundational principles were slowly being chipped away. Then came the 1950 s with the Questions on Doctrine fiasco. The watchmen on the wall were asleep except for a few brave and courageous men who were persecuted for their stand. We need to look at the fundamental principles which were the foundation of their faith. Why the fundamental principles? You will see in the next quote: The enemy of souls has sought to bring in the supposition that a great reformation was to take place among Seventh-day Adventists, and that this reformation would consist in giving up the doctrines which stand as the pillars of our faith, and engaging in a process of reorganization. Were this reformation to take place, what would result? The principles of truth that God in His wisdom has given to the remnant church, would be discarded. Our religion would be changed. The fundamental principles that have sustained the work for the last fifty years would be accounted as error. A new organization would be established. Books of a new order would be written. A system of intellectual philosophy would be introduced. {1SM 204.2} This quotation is not new as we have discussed it and parts of it in detail. But the main part of this quote that connects with the Omega is the underlined sentence: The fundamental principles that have sustained the work for the last fifty years would be accounted as error.

P a g e 5 She made this statement in 1893 and was referring to a period from 1844. Is there a document that was called fundamental principles that sustained the work for the previous fifty years that Ellen White alluded to, and did it pertain to the Godhead? Very definitely there was. And once any iota of change came to the doctrine, God in His infinite wisdom changed the name of the doctrine so that the understanding would not be blurred. She said principles of truth that God in His wisdom has given to the remnant church, would be discarded. This is why the Omega is so serious because God given principles of truth have been discarded. What are those God given principles of truth? Before we reveal those God given principles of truth, we must first read this long but most important quote. Listen very carefully now to God s prophet, 10MR 45.1: This manner of working is making my burden heavier than God ever designed it to be. This painful experience makes my heart ache. I am instructed to say to those who endeavor to tear down the foundation that has made us Seventh-day Adventists: Let me stop right here for a moment. She said that there will be those who will attempt to tear down the foundation that has made us Seventh-day Adventists, and in Isaiah 58:12 we are commanded to raise up the foundations of many generations. Continuing, We are God's commandment-keeping people. For the past fifty years every phase of heresy has been brought to bear upon us, to becloud our minds regarding the teaching of the Word -- especially concerning the ministration of Christ in the heavenly sanctuary, and the message of heaven for these last days, as given by the angels of the fourteenth chapter of Revelation. Messages of every order and kind have been urged upon Seventh-day Adventists, to take the place of the truth which, point by point, has been sought out by prayerful study, and testified to by the miracle-working power of the Lord.

P a g e 6 Again I want to stop here because of what was just said. That the attempt is made to replace truth that has been established point by point through prayerful study and testified to by the miracle-working power of the Lord. Brethren that makes it unchangeable, but today the leadership says it was error. Let s finish the quote: But the waymarks which have made us what we are, are to be preserved, and they will be preserved, as God has signified through His Word and the testimonies of His Spirit. He calls upon us to hold firmly, with the grip of faith, to the fundamental principles that are based upon unquestionable authority. {10MR 45.1} Don t miss this or you ll never get it. What are we to do? Hold firmly, with the grip of faith, to the fundamental principles that are based upon unquestionable authority. What was the fundamental principles of our pioneers that have sustained the work for the last fifty years that would be accounted as error? It was their statement of Beliefs called Fundamental Principles! Now listen carefully to the first one. Fundamental Principle -I- That there is one God, a personal, spiritual being, the creator of all things, omnipotent, omniscient, and eternal, infinite in wisdom, holiness, justice, goodness, truth, and mercy; unchangeable, and everywhere present by his representative, the Holy Spirit. Ps. 139:7. {FP1872 4.2} So this first principle that we are to hold firmly, with the grip of faith is about God the Father who is the source of all creation. All powerful, all knowing, eternal, meaning He had no beginning, whose wisdom is infinite, is holy, just, good, merciful, unchangeable, and by His omnipresence, His Spirit is everywhere present. And now the second one:

P a g e 7 Fundamental Principle -II- That there is one Lord Jesus Christ, the Son of the Eternal Father, the one by whom God created all things, and by whom they do consist; that he took on him the nature of the seed of Abraham for the redemption of our fallen race; that he dwelt among men full of grace and truth, lived our example, died our sacrifice, was raised for our justification, ascended on high to be our only mediator in the sanctuary in Heaven, where, with his own blood he makes atonement for our sins; which atonement so far from being made on the cross, which was but the offering of the sacrifice, is the very last portion of his work as priest, according to the example of the Levitical priesthood, which foreshadowed and prefigured the ministry of our Lord in Heaven. See Lev. 16; Heb. 8:4, 5; 9:6, 7; etc. {1872, FP1872 4.3} So the second Fundamental Principle that we are to hold firmly, with the grip of faith is about Jesus the Son of the eternal Father. It does not say that Jesus is the eternal God because at a point in time so far back in eternity He was begotten of the Father and was of the same substance, however the personality of Jesus had a beginning. The Father appointed His Son to be creator of all things. We are to hold with the grip of faith the fact that Jesus is mediating in the heavenly sanctuary, while the denomination today has thrown out the sanctuary in favor of the atonement having been completed at the cross. Those are the only two fundamental principles pertaining to the Godhead in 1872. The other 23 of 25 Fundamental Principles were regarding doctrines such as baptism, the sanctuary, the second coming, etc. In that first one it states clearly that there is one God and in the second one there is one Lord Jesus Christ, the Son of the eternal Father. No mention at all of a third God called God the Holy Spirit. It does say in the first one that the Father is everywhere present by his representative, the Holy Spirit. That speaks to the Father s omnipresence, which Jesus shares. While Sister White was alive, there was nothing said about the Godhead being co-equal or co-eternal. That is significant. We will see

P a g e 8 shortly that the three God, co-equal, co-eternal scenario evolved over the five decades from the 1931 issuance of the Fundamental Beliefs. The first major change in the SDA statement of beliefs came in 1931, changing the wording Fundamental Principles to Fundamental Beliefs, the wording still used today. That is very significant because of Ellen Whites previous statement, The fundamental principles that have sustained the work for the last fifty years would be accounted as error. In the 1931 issue, the first Fundamental Belief pertained to the Holy Scriptures, which was the third Fundamental Principle in the 1872 and 1889 year books. The second Fundamental Belief of the 1931 year book is the first mention of a Trinity. 2. That the Godhead, or Trinity, consists of the Eternal Father, a personal, spiritual Being, omnipotent, omnipresent, omniscient, infinite in wisdom and love; the Lord Jesus Christ, the Son of the Eternal Father, through whom all things were created and through whom the salvation of the redeemed hosts will be accomplished; the Holy Spirit, the third person of the Godhead, the great regenerating power in the work of redemption. Matt. 28:19. {1931, FB1931 377.3} Although it names God as the Eternal Father and Jesus as the Son of the Eternal Father, where compromise happened, just like ancient Israel wanting to be like the other countries and their governments, so Adventists wanted to be more like their Protestant counterparts in terminology. The word Trinity is not found in the Bible or the Spirit of Prophecy. Although Sister White has stated that the Holy Spirit is the third person of the Godhead, this is the first implication that the Holy Spirit is a third Being. The third Fundamental Belief of the 1931 Year Book regarding Christ is as follows:

P a g e 9 3. That Jesus Christ is very God, being of the same nature and essence as the Eternal Father. While retaining His divine nature He took upon Himself the nature of the human family, lived on the earth as a man, exemplified in His life as our Example the principles of righteousness, attested His relationship to God by many mighty miracles, died for our sins on the cross, was raised from the dead, and ascended to the Father, where He ever lives to make intercession for us. John 1:1, 14; Heb. 2:9-18; 8:1, 2; 4:14-16; 7:25. {1931, FB1931 377.4} This statement is acceptable in that it says Jesus is of the same nature and essence; Sister White says substance. His begotten status is still somewhat intact. It does not say co-equal or co-eternal and therefore has not strayed from the historic perspective. However Satan would work to make those blatantly offensive changes in subsequent decades. Regarding the 1942, 1955 and the 1975 Yearbooks, these already mentioned portions of the Fundamental Beliefs remained for the most part unchanged. At the 1980 General Conference session in Dallas the dramatic changes to the Fundamental Beliefs were voted in, under much protest, and were published in the 1981 Year Book. The First Belief pertained to the Holy Scriptures and is fine as written. The second belief pertains to the Trinity and says the following: 2. "There is one God: Father, Son, and Holy Spirit, a unity of three coeternal Persons. God is immortal, all-powerful, all-knowing, above all, and ever present. He is infinite and beyond human comprehension, yet known through His self-revelation. He is forever worthy of worship, adoration, and service by the whole creation. This is a significant departure from the Fundamental Principles that God led the pioneers to establish with His blessings, which we therefore were to hold firmly with the grip of faith. Wherein the Father was the only eternal One who had no beginning. In 1981 we now have three co-eternal Beings. This satisfies both the Triune and Tritheism supporters.

P a g e 10 The third 1981 Fundamental Belief is pertaining to God the Father; God the eternal Father is the Creator, Source, Sustainer, and Sovereign of all creation. He is just and holy, merciful and gracious, slow to anger, and abounding in steadfast love and faithfulness. The qualities and powers exhibited in the Son and the Holy Spirit are also those of the Father. This continues the three Being departure from the pioneers Fundaments Principles. The fourth Fundamental Belief pertains to God the eternal Son; This makes Jesus as having no beginning and was as eternal as the Father. There could be no true Father-Son relationship, just a role playing metaphor. Truly heartbreaking. The fifth Fundamental Belief pertains to God the Holy Spirit, addressed as God the Eternal Spirit. This belief describes a third Being who is distinct and separate and as eternal as the other two. Three Gods which are called the Trinity. Some Adventists believe in the Catholic view of a three in one, Triune God, while others believe in the Tritheism view, three distinct and separate Gods. Satan really doesn t care which of the two views you believe, just as long as you accept the Seventhday Adventist church that he has crafted for this time. A church that has literally done away with the First commandment with a third god, as the Papacy did away with the fourth commandment. But God s command to the watchmen is to cry aloud and spare not. In Ellen White s time we had the Alpha of deadly heresy with Kellogg s trinity view of 3 separate and distinct Gods. Since 1980 we have been in the Omega of deadly heresy with the doctrine solidly entrenched within the Seventh-day Adventist denomination, which has made Satan ecstatic. What makes it so deadly is the multiplied millions of Adventists who embrace the false doctrine.

P a g e 11 Here are 30 FACTS about Ellen White, the Trinity and the SDA Church. 1. Ellen White never used the word Trinity or Triune God or the pagan three in one formula in any way whatsoever. 2. Ellen White never used the Catholic phrases God the Son or God the Holy Spirit used by Trinitarians. 3. Ellen White used the term third person only to refer to the Spirit of Christ and hence is different to the Trinitarian meaning. 4. Ellen White never used the terms first person or second person since third person was non-trinitarian to her. 5. Ellen White states that God sent her from place to place to rebuke those who were teaching false doctrines. 6. Ellen White never corrected her husband or the early pioneers for their anti-trinitarian teaching. 7. From 1844 God also had Ellen White correct those teaching false ideas about God but how can she do that if she is in error? 8. In 1905, Ellen White wrote that God told her to reproduce the works of the pioneers that were anti-trinitarian. 9. The above points make sense because the non-trinitarian view was God given and one of the Pillars of Faith. 10. Ellen White corrected Kellogg not just for Pantheism but for teaching the trinity doctrine and the Holy Spirit as another god. 11. The world saw the Adventist Church and Ellen White as being non-trinitarian two years before her death. 12. The Church stopped printing their official stand of no Trinity in the Yearbook the year Mrs. White died.

P a g e 12 13. She never requested that her books be re-edited and the non- Trinitarian thoughts removed since they were truth. 14. In 1905, Ellen White wrote that God never told her to change anything that she ever wrote since she was a girl. 15. It is claimed Ellen White became a Trinitarian before 1895 but in 1905 she wrote that she never changed anything. 16. It is claimed Ellen White was Trinitarian when she wrote the Desire of Ages and yet this book is full of non-trinitarian quotes. 17. After this Ellen White wrote that which was truth in the beginning was truth now and that new truths never contradicted the old. 18. Well after the Desire of Ages Ellen White strongly promoted non- Trinitarian books to the world that Froom later had edited. 19. The change and so called greater light originated from sources outside of the Seventh day Adventist Church. 20. Adventist LeRoy Froom was seen working as a Catholic priest prior to entering the SDA Church and has been a suspected Jesuit by many. 21. Froom deliberately set out to find anything that Ellen White wrote that could be wrongly interpreted as being Trinitarian. 22. Froom had to search over 100,000 pages of Ellen White's writings to find a handful of misunderstood quotes. 23. The quotes are misunderstood because most do not know that Ellen White says the Holy Spirit is the Spirit of Christ. 24. Thus she teaches that the Comforter, Spirit of truth and the Spirit that Christ breathed on His disciples was His Spirit. 25. Ellen White states that the third person in the three great powers and the heavenly trio is in fact the Spirit of Christ.

P a g e 13 26. So we also find that she called the Spirit of Christ a person which is where most of the confusion comes from. 27. Ellen White calls His Spirit a person because His Spirit can function independently of Himself and so it is like it is another. 28. Ellen White never told anyone she was a Trinitarian and so this was only wrongly assumed years after her death. 29. The only Biblical support for the trinity doctrine was not from God but was added by our adversary to pervert the truth. 30. Ellen White wrote non-trinitarian statements all the way to her death and all you have to do is look and see! The next study will be The Omega of Apostasy Study #6; The Alpha The Omega Part 5, (The Conclusion). We will look at what Trinitarians use for scriptures, S.O.P. quotes and catch phrases to support their position. Let us pray
