November has been another great month of serving the Lord through the ministries of MFBC! We had a great trip to Cameron, West Virginia for our mission trip. God really worked in the church and community while we were there. Thanks to everyone that endured the 11-hour bus ride each way to serve for a short time! Pray for the folks in the Upper Ohio Valley Baptist Association. They are trying to reach their area for Christ, but it is a hard task there. We continued helping with Disaster Relief in several areas of the storm this month as well. Continue to pray for those affected. It will take years for recovery, especially in the flooded areas. We worked in the Nichols, SC area and provided Shower and Laundry for those who were flooded out of their homes. The entire downtown business area and all but 2 homes were flooded in that area. Even Florence, SC is still recovering from downed trees. We were blessed to be able to join with area churches for our Annual Community Thanksgiving Service. It is always good to worship with other churches as we give thanks to the Lord! God has been good to us again this year. Make sure you give thanks to the Lord! December will be a great month of worship and celebration! I love Christmas! We kick off the month with a mission trip to Nicaragua for our annual Christmas trip. 11 of us from MFBC will join others to minister to the churches there and the staff of Chosen Children Ministries. I will be the leading the team in Masaya and Brian will lead the team at the Leon Campus. We will go to 2 churches each day and lead in worship. We will sing, share testimonies, present a Christmas Skit, preach the gospel, give toys to the children for Christmas and hygiene kits to the adults and feed them a full meal. Pray for these people. They have very little. For many, this will be one of few full meals they will have. Normal meals for them consist of beans and rice. Thanks for all your donations to help on this trip and your giving to the 2 will do mission fund. We couldn t do this without your support and prayers! Check out all the services and activities on the church calendar for December. It will be a great month of worship! WE WILL have service on Sunday, December 25! We will only have one service at 10:00 am with no Sunday School and no evening Service. Invite others to join us as we celebrate the birth of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ! Adult Choir, children s choir and Candlelight Lord s Supper will precede that day, so don t miss any of them! God bless you all! Retta and I hope you all had a Happy Thanksgiving and have a Merry Christmas!

On Dec. 20th we will be having a celebration night and all are invited to come and have fun, food and share in special testimony time. On January 17th we will begin our new study "The Bondage Breaker" by Neil T. Anderson. The sessions will deal with Bible study on overcoming negative thoughts, irrational feelings and habitual sins. Please share this with family, co-workers or anyone else that might benefit from this great study. His Servants, Jimmy & Rhonda Batson Note: Holiday schedule noted in bulletin No Dec. FAST Meeting Christmas Shopping Safety Tips from FAST Parking Lots: Park as close as possible to your destination. Shop in daylight hours if possible. If shopping at night, park in a well lighted area. Be alert and aware of everything around you. Do not be distracted by phone calls, texting, etc. Stores and Malls: Keep purses, phones, wallets on your person. Be aware of people near you. Cars: Keep purchases covered or hidden. Keep car locked when shopping. Lock car as soon as you get back in it after shopping. Other: Don't "check in" to social media that you are shopping.
