Calling All Bookworms!! Mark your calendar now for the Good Shepherd Used Book Sale (did I hear someone say first annual?) The sale will be Saturday, April 16, 2016, 8AM 4PM in the parish hall. No admission will be charged. Book donations have been brisk but we can always use more. All donated books need to be at the church no later than Sunday, April 10 th. We will have new, used, big, small, hardcover and paperback even rare books and boxed sets. Books for all reading interests will be available literature, fiction, biography, cookbooks, gardening, cowboys, Indians, science fiction, romance, psychology, religion, children and more. The annual bazaar will be held the 2nd Saturday in November. Najla Faulkner has volunteered to chair advertising committee. Suzanne will chair the Holy Smokers meat distribution. Mary Smith will do Bazaar Café breakfast. Announcement was made by Sam & Mae Naifeh families. They will donate the cost and coordinate the rehabbing of all kneelers but bridal. ECW will pay half of camper fee for St Crispin s for whichever tier parent decides to pay other half. Next meeting: April 3, 2016...12:30pm UTO Next UTO ingathering is May 22, 2016. START SAVING YOUR CHANGE.DOLLARS,...ETC BAKE SALE APRIL 16, 2016 FROM 8AM - 4PM To double everyone s pleasure, ECW will have a bake sale at the same time as the Book Sale. Contact Candy at 918-688-0895 to volunteer your baking talent or to volunteer the day of the sale. The Altar Guild Good Shepherd NEEDS Altar Guild members. The Altar Guild members assist the Priest in setting the Altar for each service. They make sure the linens are washed, ironed and ready for use, keep all candles full of oil and ready for each service. Training is available for those who would like to serve. A sign up sheet will be available for you to give your talents. 3

BISHOP COMMITTEE MINUTES FOR FEBRUARY 2016 Attending: Fr Joseph Faber, Bill Barnes, Bill Heinen, Jan Garvin, Mikel Janitz, Joy Naifeh, Madelyn Smith, Sharon Moody, Jan Garvin, David Gilliland. Absent: Visitors: Rynd Barnes, Ted Garvin The meeting was opened with prayer by Fr. Joseph. December s minutes were moved and accepted. Financial Report was given by Sharon Moody. Motion were made and approved for: Financial for year end 2015 and January 31, 2016. Combine the Youth, Outreach, Other and Organ accounts into the Food Pantry account. Give $100 per month to MMS for 1yr starting with December 2015 through December 2016. Give Food Pantry $1,000 (if available) per month. To close old books and open new books as balance was presented. Sharon Moody will present an Audit Committee for approval prior to the next vestry meeting for 2014 and 2015. Committee Reports It was moved and approved to form an Outreach Committee comprised of outreach ministries of the church with one member from each outreach project and a vestry member included. New Business: Vestry Academy, March 5, moved and approved the general fund would pay $22.00 per person to attend. Door Hangers- moved not to pursue at this time. Facebook ads It was suggested to send everyone a weekly email of events within the church. Upcoming Events March 10-Spring Break Kickoff 3:30-6:30 April 16- Book and Bake Sale 9am-5pm (pre-sale on April 15) May 1- May Davy Brunch 9a-2p June- Block Party Parochial Report is due in March Handout of the By-Laws to be discussed at the March meeting. Keep in mind that this ministry is on-going as hunger is always present. Any canned good or staple food item you may wish to contribute will thankfully be welcomed. No One Should Go Hungry!!! 7
