This is the Presbytery of Europe s mission project for 2013-2014. The Hospital is respected as a provider of the quality health care for all. It works closely with the Palestinian National Authority Ministry of Health and is the first to receive the overflow from the government hospital in Gaza. The hospital is open to all, irrespective of their faith. It treats the poor without charge. It treats those hurt in the crossfire. This hospital works because the staff, Muslims and Christians, work unstintingly to take care of those around them. The Chief - 5 -

Surgeon is a Muslim and the Director of the Hospital is a Christian. Alpha Course This week the Alpha Course on Wednesday meets in the Church House because of the community meeting in the Lower Hall. The theme is Why and how should I tell others? This week Alan Paton will present and the evening starts with a meal prepared by the minister at 19.00. The discussion groups afterwards are expected to finish by 21.15. Church membership & baptism An opportunity to join the church is coming up on Sunday 8 December. Christmas Play The Sunday School Christmas play will be on Sunday 15 December. The children have received a letter telling about what they need to do. There will be a practice directly after the service on 8 December, and children need to be in church early at 10.00 on 15 December. Placement for Hungarian girl A Hungarian girl is coming from 8 Jan to 29 April on a placement with us in Rotterdam. If you have temporary work (e.g. cleaning or baby-sitting) to supplement her costs, do let the minister know. Book group for mums The next meeting of the book group for mothers is on Tuesday 26 November from 09.30 to 11.00 in the crèche room. All mothers with their children are welcome.
