Evaluate Your Wheel: The Wheel Quiz Before you begin, ask God to guide your thoughts and speak to you about how you can follow Him better. the following questions using this scale: Never - 1 Seldom - 2 Sometimes - 3 Often - 4 Always - 5 Jesus the Center 1. I talk about my love for Jesus with others 2. I trust Jesus s love and provision during hard times 3. When Jesus tells me what to do, I obey him 4. I obey Jesus out of love, not a sense of duty 5. If you scored 0-15 on a section, draw that part of the wheel as missing or broken. If you scored 16-25, draw that part of the wheel as weak or bent. If you scored 26-35, draw that part of the wheel as strong and complete. 3

Improve Your Wheel Pray and ask God what part of your wheel He wants you to work on. We encourage you to focus on improving one area of your life at a time. God wants me to work on Next, ask God to tell you one way you can improve this part of your wheel. Read through the following suggestions, but don t feel limited to them. Perhaps God will ask you to do something that is not listed here. Once you have chosen one way to become a better Christian, write it down on the top of page 6. Jesus the Center 1. Pray and ask God to increase your love, trust, or obedience 2. Identify what the most important thing in your life is. Compare its benefits to the benefits of putting Jesus first 3. Ask other Christians about their relationship with Jesus 4. Put Bible verses around your home or workspace 5. Read the Bible, starting with the Gospel of John 6. Seek prayer or counsel from a Christian you respect 7. Listen to or sing Christian music throughout the day Growing in God s Word 1. Begin a daily Bible reading plan 2. Make Scripture memory a part of your daily devotions 3. Start journaling about what God speaks to you through His Word 4. Memorize 2 Timothy 3:16 and Joshua 1:8 5. Read How to Read the Bible for All Its Worth 6. Listen to an audio Bible or Bible teachings online 7. Meet with a friend every week to discuss the sermon and its application to your life 4

Praying Everyday 1. Pray with a family member every morning, evening, and meal time 2. Go to Parkway s Prayer Room 3. Start a prayer journal 4. Memorize John 15:7 and Philippians 4:6-7 5. Use a daily devotional book, such as My Utmost for His Highest, or read a book on prayer, such as The Practice of the Presence of God 6. Pray through The Lord s Prayer (Matthew 6:9-13) each morning 7. Schedule an extended prayer time each week to intentionally listen to God Connecting with Other Believers 1. Initiate conversations with other Christians at church 2. Join a Care Group by calling the church office 3. Read the church bulletin, newsletter, or website and attend a church social event 4. Memorize Hebrews 10:24-25 and 1 John 1:3 5. Ask a Christian friend to mentor you, or find someone to mentor 6. Pray for your church and people in your church every day 7. Do a random act of kindness for a fellow believer Serving the Mission of the Church 1. List five non-christians you know and pray for them every day 2. Practice presenting your testimony and the gospel so you are ready to share them with non-believing friends 3. Consider giving regularly to the church 4. Memorize Mathew 5:16 and Matthew 28:19-20 5. Give to and pray for foreign missionaries 6. Schedule a meeting with a pastor to discuss how you can volunteer inside or outside of the church 7. Initiate a spiritual conversation with someone who is not a Christian 5
