CAMPAIGN PRAYER O Lord our God we give You praise and glory for all that You have created for us and all the blessings You have bestowed on each of us in our parish of St Jerome Church. With mindful hearts of these blessings and Your great love for us we seek Your guidance as we commit ourselves to the Capital Campaign for our parish building project. May we be good stewards of the time, talents and treasures You have entrusted to us as we make our campaign commitments so that we will do our part in taking care of the future of our parish and the future of Your holy people. For it is when we give that we share the light of faith. Amen We the parishioners of St. Jerome Catholic Church, through the word and sacraments, continue the mission of Christ by spreading His love through us to all the world today and tomorrow.

A Note from Fr. Raj Dear Parishioners, I received my assignment to be your pastor nine years ago. In the ensuing years I ve come to realize that I am blessed to be a part of this parish. St. Jerome is a kind, loving and welcoming community, featuring wonderful ministries and programs, and outstanding lay leaders. For all of us, this is truly a wonderful time to be a member of this thriving parish. Our congregation, founded by the sacrifice of 300 families, now totals more than 1,000 registered households. St. Jerome has hosted countless weddings and baptisms, welcomed hundreds of confirmed students into the Catholic faith, and witnessed the growth of our ministries. Along the journey, parishioners have enjoyed the love and fellowship of one another. Now we are prepared to strengthen our influence and to take the next step in our history a step we must take. We have a beautiful campus, but we ve run out of room. And with growth headed our way, we must be prepared to embrace it. We must be proactive so we are ready to welcome new families and to better serve the spiritual needs of our current parish population. f,, t e. We are called to follow the example of our patron saint, St. Jerome, who encouraged us to Begin now to be what you will be hereafter... To meet our immediate need for space, we are embarking on a fundraising drive to build a Multi-Purpose Activities Center on our church grounds. This multi-functional structure will offer the room needed to grow our ministries and to spread the Good News. The decision to move forward with this effort involved considerable prayer and planning. Lay leaders invested hours upon hours of research, thought and discussion before coming to this conclusion. I fully support our plan and ask you to prayerfully consider how you may ensure its success. As we kickoff our Begin Now To Be What You Will Be Hereafter Capital Campaign, I ask for your gracious support and your continued prayers. Peace and Blessings, Rev. Rakshaganathan Selvaraj Pastor

OUR HISTORY In our 32-year history, progress has defined St. Jerome Catholic Church. Founding parishioners first worshipped in an old Knights of Columbus facility, but now we enjoy a parish which has grown into a spacious campus. It features a beautiful sanctuary, with nave seating for 800; an annex with a day chapel, music room and nursery; a separate building for CCE classes and a preschool; business offices, a columbarium, a grotto and two parish halls. Along with the physical expansion, the parish population has more than tripled from the founders list of 300 families to approximately 1,050 registered households. OUR FUTURE Demographic studies show the population of Hewitt, Waco, Woodway and other nearby communities is on the rise. In response to this trend, parish leadership foresees the need to expand our campus. This allows us to accommodate the anticipated increase of our parish population as we welcome new parishioners into our faith community in the years to come. These plans are subject to change, based upon campaign results. OUR GOAL The next step in our history is to address the need for additional space at St. Jerome. Space is needed to more actively and effectively serve our 44 parish ministries, build our faith formation programs for adults and youth, and enhance fellowship amongst all members. Accomplishing all of this in a safe and welcoming environment is key as our church continues to grow. The Multi-Purpose Activities Center will address our immediate need for additional space and allows us to plan for the future. This building will be constructed on the 10 acres located just southwest of Brooks Hall. Its main attraction will be a gymnasium-sized room which will host activities such as CCE carnivals, concerts, Fall Festival, parish-wide dinners, receptions, retreats, sporting events (basketball and volleyball) Vacation Bible School and much more.

With this campaign, we have the opportunity to give back to our church, which has given us so much, and to help grow our church family. We are extremely excited to be a part of the new facility that will benefit everyone, from the very youngest to the oldest members. Jeff and Angie Chancellor, Campaign Cabinet Members CAMPAIGN LEVELS OF SUCCESS Parish leadership is dedicated to being wise stewards of St. Jerome s finances and wants to avoid taking on major debt. Based upon information shared in our feasibility study, and following a directive from the Diocese of Austin, leadership has tiered our campaign goals based upon reaching these milestones. $3.1 million-celebration Goal (Green) Reaching this goal ensures the building of the Multi-Purpose Activities Center with a large, gymnasium-sized gathering space with a stage, a conference room, restrooms, storage area and a welcome area. $4.2 million-challenge Goal (Tan) This milestone enables us to add a kitchen, pantry, two parish halls (replacing Brooks and Jordan Halls) and additional storage. $5.4 million-victory Goal (purple) At this benchmark we ll complete the Multi-Purpose Activities Center with the addition of a covered patio, two youth rooms, more restrooms and storage space. The estimated cost of completing the Multi-Purpose Activities Center, including all features identified by the Building Committee, is $5.4 million. Ultimately, however, the final construction design will be determined by our fundraising success.

RECOGNIZING YOUR GIFT St. Jerome will honor all donors for their sacrifice by creating a donor recognition wall which will be displayed inside the Multi-Purpose Activities Center. Benefactors will be grouped according to their level of giving. If you wish to remain anonymous please contact the parish office. Those interested in naming rights are encouraged to visit with Fr. Raj. methods of giving There are a variety of giving options to consider when supporting St. Jerome in a meaningful way. We are concerned that we are not doing everything we can to keep God in the center of our teenage members lives. We have witnessed the difference. Teenagers involved in their faith are confident in expressing what God means to them and this leads to confidence in everything they do. The result of our campaign can provide the facilities and activities that will incent our young people to stay involved in this supportive, God centered community. Richard and Barbara Grandy, General Chairs Parishioners may want to consider stretching their pledge over the three-year period to maximize the total amount of their support. This commitment may be fulfilled through monthly, quarterly, semiannual or annual installments. The parish s needs are immediate and before breaking ground we must receive 50% of our donations. Thus we graciously ask donors to consider at least a 10 to 20 percent initial payment to begin their commitment. Gifts made by cash or check are the most common. However, please know we will gratefully accept gifts in various forms, including those described below: Gifts of Securities-Stocks Deferred or Planned Gifts Bonds and Mutual Funds Gifts of Life Insurance Corporate Matching Gifts Gifts-in-Kind Charitable Remainder Trust Will or Revocable Living Trust Gifts of Real Estate Gifts of Retirement Plans Pledges are commitments made in good faith, but are not legally binding.

I remember when we put up chairs at the KC Hall for Mass. Wow! Have we come a long way! Today, we are beginning to bust at the seams. I believe that we will continue to grow and the sooner we address today s needs and the anticipated needs of the future, the better we will be able to serve the community and each other. Ed Arredondo, Campaign Cabinet Member campaign payback Reaching our goals provides benefits for current and future parishioners of St. Jerome. They include: Enjoying a parish-wide Christmas dinner, First Communion, Vacation Bible School or wedding receptions in a spacious environment. Security in providing a loving and safe environment for children. Hosting drop-in sports nights and sporting events like adult and youth basketball and volleyball tournaments. An indoor location for Fall Festival, preschool recess and other activities in the event of rain. Special occasion Masses. The continued growth and impact of our 44 outreach ministries. BUDGETING YOUR GIFT OVER THREE YEARS Selecting the best gift plan depends on your personal financial situation and goals. Since tax laws are always changing and each individual s situation is unique, donors are encouraged to consult with financial advisors to determine which method of contributing is most beneficial.
