What would the Founding Fathers Think? I n a recently published children s book entitled, What Would the Founding Fathers Think?, author David Bowman examines what makes our nation great; how far we have strayed from the ideals and principles that our nation was founded upon, and how we can restore liberty. He creatively illustrates to children that the undeniable foundation of America was God [and His Word], which defines the values and virtues of personal responsibility, hard work, generosity, and honesty. It was John Adams who said, The constitution was made only for a moral and religious people. It is wholly inadequate to the government of any other. Simply put, this American experiment of freedom that our founding fathers sacrificed so much to establish, can only work when rooted in these Godgiven values and principles. Eight Thousand America s Life References given away at local fair in TN! W hat an amazing and exciting week was had by all Go Therefore volunteers as they shared God s Word in a huge way at this summer s Wilson County Fair in Lebanon Tennessee! Each night we enjoyed hundreds of oneon-one ministry opportunities, focused on God s immeasurable love, and how He cares about every concern and issue in our lives. We were well received by everyone who passed by our booth and also by those who spoke with our volunteers as they canvassed the Midway and fairgrounds. al issues, and so much more. Many did not have a personal relationship with Christ, while others had been spiritually misguided and wanted prayer. One gentleman was even considering ending his life! We were honored to pray with another man who received Christ right there in the middle of the aisle, as he recognized that Jesus is the only Way, the Truth, and the Life. John 14:6. As anticipated, much discussion around the booth was regarding the current political climate of our country. So, we provided each fair-goer the opportunity to register to vote and encouraged each and every person to please read the Word before they went to the polls this fall. We explained that the reason we are giving away the America s Life Reference Manuals is because we at Go Therefore, believe our nation was founded on Biblical principles and are dedicated to restoring the values that made America great, one person at a time. We have also been blessed by other Go Therefore partners throughout the country, who have shared stories about their own Life Reference Manual giveaway events held over the summer. One event saw ten people miraculously come to know Christ as their personal Savior. What an encouragement it has been for us to see God s Word go out into communities like these during such a critical time in our nation s history. We are so thankful for God s provision, for you our Partners, and for your trust in Go Therefore Ministries.
I attended a leaders meeting at Nashville House of Prayer just before the evening prayer. A Russian born couple -a pastor and his wife- attended as well. He is called to America and has become a patriot, burning with passion for our history and the land. As he shared his story, out of his pocket comes your red America s LRM. I just smiled and joyously made the connection of the three of us. Glorious. -Lyndon, Tennessee God s Word is so wonderful!
