From Auxiliary Unit 40 President Hello Ladies, Well I was finally installed as your President, along with the ladies of Unit #171 on July 14 th. We even celebrated District President, Robin Burk s birthday. Just a reminder, there will not be a meeting in August, due to the fact that Edie and Connie will be on their way to National Convention in Charlotte, N.C.. There will be dinner, by Denise; it will be Lasagna, yum sorry I will miss it. School supplies will be collected in September, also stop by your local store and pick something up for those children, who are in need. We do have a lot scheduled for September; the 8 th is our meeting at 7:00p.m. I hope you will all be refreshed and excited to begin our New Year and work hard for the American Legion Auxiliary and its programs. Think about being a chairman this year. I would appreciate it. Don't forget to pay your dues if you have not already. Membership is very important see Roxanna for your new card. Our school of instruction is on September 13 th at Sebastian Unit #189 starting at 9:00, it is not far and maybe some of us can carpool. September 22 nd is our 2 nd Quarter Auction, at 6:00pm. I hear it was a lot of fun the last time. if you want to reserve a table see Connie Schwartz. September 27 th is our first District Picnic at Wickham Park in Melbourne starting at 11:00. Bring a baked good or your talent, I understand that they will have a contest. All proceeds go to Boys and Girls State transportation expenses.
