People need relationships. People need love. People need a Savior. 2016 has been a great year with the launch of Biblical Prescriptions for Life and growth in the programs of Heartwise Ministries. More and more individuals are coming to the website, listening and downloading radio programs, praying for each other, learning about health, and using Heartwise as a tool to spread the good news. I am also encouraged by the many individuals who are partnering with us on various projects from PlantPure Nation, to Trans World Radio, 3ABN, and many others ministries wanting to add a health element to broaden their reach. What is in store for 2017? We want to focus on praying for God s will and asking Him to lead to the projects, relationships, and partnerships He desires. As God opens doors, we will be brave and bold and follow His leading. We want to continue spreading Biblical Prescriptions for Life. this app in places where seeds can be planted. To accomplish this, we will need your prayers and financial support. If God is moving your heart to use your resources to spread the gospel in this manner, consider partnering with Heartwise today. In addition to this launch we will continue our on-going programs, trying to grow each one as God leads. These include the Biblical Prescriptions for Life small group Bible study, Heartwise with Charles Mills radio program, the weekly television program Ultimate Prescription, the one-minute television and radio spots, and the developing relationships with others on the Internet and social media. With this in mind, our 002 003 major project in 2017 will be developing an app for these mobile devices. People from all over the globe have shared with us how God s restorative power has brought healing to their lives. That is our goal in everything that we do at Heartwise, and that s why we ve put so much effort into developing and sharing Biblical Prescriptions for Life over the past year. This small group Bible study program is designed to help participants realize the physical and spiritual benefits of living in harmony with our Creator s original design. Since launching the program back in January, we have worked with several small groups and churches to gather feedback and strengthen the program. The responses have been fantastic. Participants are finding practical tips that they are implementing right away to improve their health. Many participants conveyed great appreciation for the way the study encouraged them to dig into their Bibles daily to discover the connection between the physical and spiritual aspects of our lives. The next step for Biblical Prescription for Life is to get it in the hands of as many people as possible. Our plan is to partner with various churches and denominations as well as booksellers and other media platforms. But perhaps our most exciting effort is that we plan to develop the Biblical Prescriptions for Life app for mobile devices. Making this content available to people all over the world using the most ubiquitous technology available will provide opportunities to reach people that we haven t yet been able to serve. The app will be a free download and introduce users to the Bible study program, and encourage users to begin their own small group study to receive the greatest benefit. We see God opening the doors as we continue to promote this program. Feedback from participants has shown that the program is working. Thank you for your partnering with us on this program. Because of you, others are discovering the truth that healing is found through relationship with Christ. One group has been using Biblical Prescriptions for Life as part of a church wide study series, and their pastor is preaching on the topics found in each week s lesson. The site is dedicated to helping folks find and purchase the Bible study guide and videos, provide resources to for leaders to promote their small group studies, and to teach leaders how to lead a small group study. We ve done our best to make this an easy process for people who want to lead a study. If you haven t led a study yet, visit BiblicalPrescriptionsforLife.com and explore the resources there which you can use to bring others into a healing relationship with Christ. We continue to put up new health articles on the Heartwise Ministries website and that is also where we post links to our other health resources. Folks can ask for suggestions for their health concerns, listen to Heartwise radio programs, watch our television programs, and participate in the Heartwise prayer forum. The prayer forum is a place where people can write their prayer requests and know that our community will be lifting them up weekly. We have a team of volunteers who regularly pray for these folk s requests and click the I prayed for you button which notifies the person who wrote the request that they have been prayed for. For many, just knowing that others care and are praying will mean so much. Our social media platforms are outlets through which we share our articles and media productions. The social media audience continues to grow as people share our content with their friends. This is a great value for Heartwise as we can get information out to so many people and engage in an ongoing relationship with them as we receive comments from them. In a world where there s so much bad news and so often a negative spin on current events, Heartwise is providing hope and healing through our websites and social media platforms.
