God the Creator and His Creation
Luke 2:40 40 And the child grew, and waxed strong in spirit, filled with wisdom: and the grace of God was upon him. Luke 2:49-52 49 And he said unto them, How is it that ye sought me? wist ye not that I must be about my Father's business? 50 And they understood not the saying which he spake unto them. 51 And he went down with them, and came to Nazareth, and was subject unto them: but his mother kept all these sayings in her heart. 52 And Jesus increased in wisdom and stature, and in favour with God and man.
It is clear in this text that Jesus Himself possessed the capacity to develop in wisdom and stature. Although perfect from sin, Jesus still had to be matured through experience, knowledge and wisdom. Jesus was clear about the fact that He had access to the same wisdom that God used to create and repair this earth. This wisdom is available to all the children of God who realize that they have great challenges to overcome, and they need to tap into that wisdom in order to operate in the freedom and sovereignty that God intended for us to have.
Obtaining our freedom is not the absence of problems and challenges; it is the wisdom and capacity to have victory by overcoming the obstacles in life. This fact leads us to the next important factor in our sovereignty, and that is the ability to create. God is a creator, He is a problem solver, God is the solution; He possesses solutions so problems are not an excuse for victims and bondage. As children of our heavenly Father, we have this creative ability; we have access to the solution; we are problem solvers, and we never accept bondage, orlive as victims.
Daniel 2:20-23 20 Daniel answered and said, Blessed be the name of God for ever and ever: for wisdom and might are his: 21 And he changeth the times and the seasons: he removeth kings, and setteth up kings: he giveth wisdom unto the wise, and knowledge to them that know understanding: 22 He revealeth the deep and secret things: he knoweth what is in the darkness, and the light dwelleth withhim. 23 I thank thee, and praise thee, O thou God of my fathers, who hast given me wisdom and might, and hast made known unto me now what we desired of thee: for thou hast now made known unto us the king's matter.
Daniel 1:20-21 20 And in all matters of wisdom and understanding, that the king inquired of them, he found them ten times better than all the magicians and astrologers that were in all his realm. 21 And Daniel continued even unto the first year ofking Cyrus.
Genesis 41:33-43 (NIV) 33 And now let Pharaoh look for a discerning and wise man and put him in charge of the land of Egypt. 34 Let Pharaoh appoint commissioners over the land to take a fifth of the harvest of Egypt during the seven years of abundance. 35 They should collect all the food of these good years that are coming and store up the grain under the authority of Pharaoh, to be kept in the cities for food. 36 This food should be held in reserve for the country, to be used during the seven years of famine that will come upon Egypt, so that the country may not be ruined by the famine."
Genesis 41:33-43 (NIV) 37 The plan seemed good to Pharaoh and to all his officials. 38 So Pharaoh asked them, "Can we find anyone like this man, one in whom is the spirit ofgod?" 39 Then Pharaoh said to Joseph, "Since God has made all this known to you, there is no one so discerning and wise as you. 40 You shall be in charge of my palace, and all my people are to submit to your orders. Only with respect to the throne will I be greater than you." 41 So Pharaoh said to Joseph, "I hereby put you in charge of the whole land of Egypt."
Genesis 41:33-43 (NIV) 42 Then Pharaoh took his signet ring from his finger and put it on Joseph's finger. He dressed him in robes of fine linen and put a gold chain around his neck. 43 He had him ride in a chariot as his second-incommand, and men shouted before him, "Make way!" Thus he put him in charge of the whole land ofegypt.
