Website: www.charlestoncathedral.com Christmas Giving Tree: In the back of the Cathedral and in a basket are our Giving Tree Ornaments. Please take an ornament or two and purchase a gift for a child who may have a very sparse Christmas without you. The age and sex of the child is noted on the back of the ornament. Please return with a gift unwrapped and with the ornament attached to make sorting easier. We have been asked not to purchase toy weapons. Also, if you are considering purchasing a doll as a gift, please keep in mind that many are minority children. Gifts are donated to the Neighborhood House for distribution. As much as we appreciate expensive gifts, we encourage those who are able to purchase more gifts rather than very expensive gifts. In this way, we can reach more children, and there will not be a great disparity between what each child receives. Please return gifts by December 21st. Did You Know We Have A Library? That s right! The St. Augustine Library is on the 2nd floor of the Cathedral Center, 3rd door on the left. It s open Sunday mornings except during Sunday School class time, and it s open Monday through Thursday from 9:00-2:00. It s a quiet place to study and a great place to check out excellent books by great Christian writers. Third Sunday of Advent Congratulations to our Basketball Teams! They did an outstanding job in the St. Joseph s Pre-season Basketball Tournament! The Saints brought home 4 Championship trophies and 2 Runner-up trophies! Friday, December 19th marks the end of the 2nd quarter and Christmas break begins at 11:15 AM. This is an early dismissal day. Don t forget to continue to save your Box Tops for education. The second collection date will be in late February. We will keep you posted. We have reached our goal of 500 friends on Facebook! We are actually up to 525! Facebook is a great way to keep up with what is happening on the CCS campus, if you haven t already, like us and help us get to 1,000 followers! To schedule a tour of The Charleston Catholic School please call Jeannie Fanjoy at 577-4495 or visit our website www.charlestoncatholic.com for more information.
