We have chosen the way of truth. Psalm 119:30 VOLUME 2 January 25, 2015 NUMBER 04 From the Pastor s Heart Greetings Southside Family, We are so glad you chose to join us for worship this morning. Our prayer is that you discover the presence of God as we worship today. If you are a first time guest then let me be the first to welcome you. I would like to encourage you at the end of the service to stop by our guest table which is located at the front of the sanctuary to receive a free gift and further information about our church family. What an incredible time of worship we experienced last Sunday, God poured out His Spirit over our congregation! What a tremendous sight to see our sanctuary filled to capacity. This past Wednesday night we studied Matthew 16:18, which says, I also say to you that you are Peter, and upon this rock I will build My church; and the gates of hell will not over-power it. Peter confessed Jesus as the Christ, the Savior of the world. Every soul that confesses Jesus as Savior becomes part of what we call the church. Not a building but a family. The church that Christ is building is unstoppable! Do you believe that? Do you desire to be a part of such a movement? As a local church family we need to stay on the offensive. Let s continue to love God and others, as well as rescuing souls from the power of death and hell. Hebrews 2:14 teaches that Christ came in a body like ours to destroy him who had the power of death, that is, the devil. Once we have been saved and set free from the power of death, we are to join Christ in building His church through the proclamation of the Gospel. My prayer is that satan would say of Southside every morning, Oh no, they re awake! Together we can accomplish so much for the kingdom of God. May we be energized and excited by the Gospel and the mission that Christ has given us! Personally, I would like to invite you back tonight to our Souper Bowl Fellowship which starts at 6pm in the fellowship hall. Chili and soup will be served and the only cost is that we are asking that you bring cans of soup in that will be donated to the Wiregrass Food Bank. We will sing songs and have a time of devotion as well tonight. In Christ, Bro. Stacy
Greetings from Gary Good Morning, Last Sunday was an awesome blessing for us here at Southside Baptist Church, I can tell the Holy Spirit was among us in our time of worship, it is so encouraging to see a packed out house! Marc Mero did an outstanding delivery in his message, he is definitely anointed by the Spirit of the God! I am so blessed to be working with our Adult Choir over the past 2 weeks in rehearsals and worship services. We have a group of dedicated singers and instrumentalists who desire to give the glory all to God. If you still have not joined us, please come join us and see what God is doing through our music and worship division. Our music committee will begin working and planning out our goals for the Spring and Summer of this year. Please be in prayer for us as we seek guidance from the Holy Spirit and how God can utilize us to be faithful servants for His cause. What a blessing and joy it is to serve and work with you all here at Southside. I am praying God will continue to richly bless us and inhabit our music and worship time this morning, as we continue to labor in His vineyard! Much Love, Bro.
