*SING GOD S PRAISE Hymn #106 Thine Is the Glory Text trans. R. Hoyle; Tune: JUDAS MACCABEUS Song Leader: Randy Woods, Minister of Worship & Music Stanza 1 Thine is the glory, Risen, conquering Son; Endless is the victory Thou o er death has won. Angels in bright raiment rolled the stone away, Kept the folded grave-clothes where Thy body lay. Refrain Thine is the glory, Risen, conquering Son; Endless is the victory Thou o er death hast won. Stanza 2 Lo! Jesus meets us, risen from the tomb; Lovingly He greets us, scatters fear and gloom; Let His church with gladness hymns of triumph sing, For her Lord now liveth; death hath lost its sting. Stanza 3 No more we doubt Thee, glorious Prince of life! Life is naught without Thee; aid us in our strife; Make us more than conquerors, through Thy deathless love; Bring us safe through Jordan to Thy home above.

For Your Information As a courtesy to others who gather to worship with us, please silence all cell phones and pagers as you enter the Sanctuary. If you are in need of a personal hearing device, please see an usher for assistance. WE WELCOME THE CENTURYMEN THIS MORNING! Established in 1969, The CenturyMen is an auditioned men s chorus of 70 members consisting of professional musicians who are directors of music, concert artists, college faculty members and music leaders from across America. The CenturyMen is not only a superb male choir, but is made up of men who sing to God with conviction, passion and purpose. Get ready to be blessed. THIS MORNING we will focus on how to be the people of God on the move. The early church was flexible, responsive, and opportunistic, characteristics that we will need as we prepare for our relocation during the renovation process. Next Sunday morning we will have two services in the Grand Cypress Room at 9:00 a.m. and 11:00 a.m, David Pavey (Coquina) will bring the message, and we will share in the Lord s Supper. THIS EVENING we will prepare for the relocation adjustments with a special concert of prayer that you ll not want to miss. There is much to pray for especially for how we will take advantage of various ministry opportunities during the time of transition. We will also be led in worship with special music by soprano, Valerie Knupp (Morgantown, WV). Next Sunday

evening we will be meeting in the Social Center on the Island for our evening service, and David Rambo (Cellana) will be our speaker. HAVE YOU CONSIDERED becoming a member of The Village Church but just have not been able to attend a membership class? The next class will be held today at 4:30 p.m. in the Hospitality Room. Coming to the class does not obligate you in any way, but you will learn more about who we are. IN OBSERVANCE OF THE NATIONAL DAY OF PRAYER, the Village Church will host a Community Prayer Service on Thursday morning, May 1, at 10:45 a.m. in the Social Center. Led by David Pavey (Coquina), this prayer service will provide an opportunity for the church and community to pray together for seven centers of influence: government, military, family, media, church, business, and education. Several people from our community, including President Peter Dys, Employee Chaplain Don Steenhoek, Minister of Spiritual Care Sue Stranahan, SPTV Supervisor Jared Pike, Carolyn DeLisser (Coquina), Fred Henry (Coquina) and Jim Mayer (Junonia) will offer prayers for these national and community concerns. This is a great opportunity for our church and community to come together and pray for our nation. God Bless America. REFRESH AND RENEW: Gifts and commitments to date total $967,906.71 (Received: $884,463.71; Additional Commitments: $83,443). THE 2014 MISSIONS PROJECT FOR CHRISTIAN LIFE

STUDIES is to raise $4,000 for the construction of a village chapel in the Congo. This will be in Ouesso, a town of 30,000 people located on the North border of the country. David and Theresa Bill will be supervising this ministry. A young lay pastor is already there, and his small group has purchased land for the chapel. These funds will help them get started. Since CLS classes have been suspended for the next few months, contributions for this project may be made through regular envelope giving by marking your gift Congo Chapel. Thank you. WOMEN S MINISTRIES TUESDAY AFTERNOON PRAYER GROUP will meet, beginning May 6, at Dick and Eleanor Pease s apartment (408 Royal Bonnet). This will continue through the duration of the renovation.
