NOVEMBER 2017 VOLUME 30 ISSUE 11 It s Shoebox Time Again! Change The Life Of A Child With A Simple Gift NOW THROUGH NOVEMBER 15TH DEDICATION DAY, NOVEMBER 12TH Dana: Her favorite items in her shoebox were nice smelling soap and a nice toothbrush. They were considered a luxury in my country and weren t something my parents could afford. Before I received my shoebox, I was having a hard time as a new Christian. I was trying to understand why our family was struggling and why God would allow it. Through my shoebox gift, God showed me that He is my Provider When you only have a little, a shoebox gift is a lot. I felt loved when I realized that someone selflessly gave it to me. God s love was wonderfully demonstrated because it was a heartfelt gift nothing was asked in return. BRING YOUR FILLED SHOEBOXES to the church office now through November 15th, or bring them to the church sanctuary on DEDICA- TION DAY, November 12th. Pre-printed boxes, flyers and information on what to pack are available in the Gathering Room. Remember, new this year, NO CANDY AND NO TOOTHPASTE. Thanksgiving Dinner & Celebration Sunday, November 19 at Noon (Following Worship in The Main Street Fellowship Hall All Are Invited! Suggested Donation $5 Per Person Come!
