The class will meet from 6:30PM-7:30PM. Many books and videos will be used in the study. A book by Adam Hamilton, Revival: Faith As Wesley Lived It, will be used as one of the main sources. That book, which cost $12, will be available on the first night of the class. Please let Pastor Jimmy know if you plan to attend. Bible Study on the book of Revelation 6:30PM-7:30PM Room 103 Marcus Toole, our church historian, will begin a Bible study on the book of Revelation on Wednesday nights from 6:30PM-7:30PM. This study is open to all adults. Revelation assumes that tribulation is always a present reality as the kingdom of God and the kingdom of this world are always in conflict. The message is about faith and endurance in a world where wrong usually seems to win. Future Family 6:30PM-7:30PM Room 208 Jennifer Prosser will be leading a class on Wednesday nights from 6:30PM-7:30PM studying Future Family by Andy Stanley. Youth Ministries News Sunday Night Surge - August 20 Middle School students will meet from 5:30PM-7:00PM and High School students will meet from 7:00PM-8:30PM in the Youth Room. This is our weekly large group meeting where students participate in games, food, worship, and a message. Cost for dinner is $2. Breakfast Club - August 21 This event is for Middle and High School students. We meet on Monday mornings on the third floor (Room 306) for breakfast (Chick-fil-A and Daylight Donuts), a devotional, and then we give students a ride to school. Arrive at 7:00AM and the cost is $2. Small Groups & Confirmation- August 23 Middle and High School students meet on Wednesday nights in the Youth Room for fellowship, food, and small group Bible study. Small groups are divided by age and gender. The Youth Room opens at 5:30PM for dinner, games begin at 6:15PM, and Bible study starts at 7:00PM. The cost for dinner is $2 and students are dismissed at 8:00PM. Saturday Soup Kitchen Do you have a heart to help people? Do you have a little spare time on Saturday mornings? If so, the Missions Committee is looking for a few people interested in assisting Karen Phipps, the Soup Kitchen Coordinator. We are looking for a small group of people that can commit to helping supervise 1 Saturday morning a month and can help solicit and coordinate the volunteer groups. No cooking experience necessary, just a heart of kindness and mercy! The Office of Connectional Ministries of the South Georgia Conference is sponsoring a day-long event with opportunities to choose from almost 40 different workshops (you can choose 3) and a worship service. Choose from workshops on small group ministries, Video Communication, Missions, training for Staff-Parish Relations Committees taught by our Bishop, Financial Leadership in the church taught by Pastor Jimmy, family ministries,children and Youth ministries, and Lay Leadership.
