The Garden of E D E n o Is Eden garden in heaven or here on earth? o Can there be evidences that it still exists? o What is the significance of this finding? M by E. L. Orasa any people have thought that this place was lost. Some have claims that it is located in Jackson County, Missouri, North America; some believed it is in Sri Lanka; some others in Iran (Tabriz), in Africa, and many others in their own understanding. Some others are thinking that it is no more than the kid s stories and fables. And since the existence of this garden remains mysterious to many, they soon concluded that the Scripture, the bible, is also untrue. Read on and see how God still left for us an evidence to disprove man for his unbelief. What can we see in the Genesis Garden? I f you are familiar of gardening, you have to understand that God loves garden more than you do. I believe that it is not just the first garden ever made, but the most beautiful one because the designer of it is God. No picture could exactly describe God s garden masterpiece, but it surely is excellent. Gen 2:8 And the LORD
The Garden of Eden P a g e 2 God planted a garden eastward in Eden; and there he put the man whom he had formed. And here are the things which we can find inside Eden garden before and after man disobeyed God. >Adam and Eve >every kind of tree >tree of life in the midst of the garden >tree of knowledge of good and evil >every beast of the field and fowls of the air (19) >the serpent-satan (Gen.3:1;Ezk. 28:13) >a river parted into 4 heads (10-14) -1st: Pison (whole land of Havillah where there is gold, bdellium and onyx stone) -2nd: Gihon (the whole land of Ethiopia) -3rd: Hiddekel (going towards east of Assyria)-Tigris river -4th: Euphrates >Cherubs and a flaming sword (Gen.3:24) Is Eden garden the Paradise? E den garden was thought by many Christians as the Paradise, a place of bliss. The beauty of it was mentioned as the garden of the Lord (Gen.13:10; Isa.51:3) before it was ruined. The word paradise appeared three times in the scripture. One was mentioned by Christ when He was at the cross (Lk.23:42), the other was told by Paul when he reached it (2 Co.12:4), and the last one was mentioned in the book of Revelation, where the tree of life was also mentioned (Rev.2:7). Perhaps these are the reasons why many are thinking that Eden Garden is in heaven. But, the evidences from the scriptures and even archaeology disprove that conclusion. T Locating the Rivers he Garden of Eden was well watered by a river that was parted into four heads. Locating these rivers can help us locate also
The Garden of Eden P a g e 3 the garden. Euphrates- This river is still existing, and even the scripture mentioned it as a great river (Gen 15:18; Deut. 1:7; Jos 1:4; Rev 9:14; 16:12).(Gen 2:14) And the name of the third river is Hiddekel: that is it which goeth toward the east of Assyria. And the fourth river is Euphrates. Hiddekel- Daniel mentioned this great river where he took a rest, and it was during the reign of king Cyrus of Persia (Daniel 1:1), now Iran (Daniel 10:4). This is known as Tigris river today. Gen 2:14 And the name of the third river is Hiddekel: that is it which goeth toward the east of Assyria. And the fourth river is Euphrates. Gihon (Gen 2:13) And the name of the second river is Gihon: the same is it that compasseth the whole land of Ethiopia. The name Gihon was mentioned in other place but not the river. Pishon (towards Saudi Arabia)-Gen 2:11 The name of the first is Pison: that is it which compasseth the whole land of Havilah, where there is gold;

Satellite photos show two fossil river beds, one across N. Saudi Arabia and one across S. Persia (Iran) which join the Tigris- Euphrates. This reconfirms, with new photos, the feasibility of the existence of a river named Pison or Gihon (Scienceandthebible.xanga.com) Thus it gives us location of the two rivers, Gihon and Pishon.

The Garden of Eden P a g e 7 T But what happened to the Garden of Eden? his is the scriptural answer for those who are looking for what really happened to the Garden of Eden. It became desolate or ruined, Eze. 36:35) And they shall say, This land that was desolate is become like the garden of Eden; and the waste and desolate and ruined cities are become fenced, and are inhabited. Burned (Joe 2:3) A fire devoureth before them; and behind them a flame burneth: the land is as the garden of Eden before them, and behind them a desolate wilderness; yea, and nothing shall escape them.
The Garden of Eden P a g e 8 Before the flood came, and before He caused the garden to burn, He already brought the tree of life in heaven. Remember that there are Cherubs with flaming sword guarding the garden. Could it be the one used by God to cause the garden to burn? We cannot speculate, but from that verse we can see what happened. Gen. 3:23-24 Therefore the LORD God sent him forth from the garden of Eden, to till the ground from whence he was taken. So he drove out the man; and he placed at the east of the garden of Eden Cherubims, and a flaming sword which turned every way, to keep the way of the tree of life. Also, Noah was able to find pairs of animals before those animals in Eden were consumed, they already multiplied (Gen.7:8-9). Buried (Eze. 31:16) I made the nations to shake at the sound of his fall, when I cast him down to hell with them that descend into the pit: and all the trees of Eden, the choice and best of Lebanon, all that drink water, shall be comforted in the nether parts of the earth. (Eze. 31:18) To whom art thou thus like in glory and in greatness among the trees of Eden? yet shalt thou be brought down with the trees of Eden unto the nether parts of the earth: thou shalt lie in the midst of the uncircumcised with them that be slain by the sword. This is Pharaoh and all his multitude, saith the Lord GOD. The garden was cast into something that is deep, and you cannot see it. God is the one that buried it to hell or sheol. This is an unseen place. That s why you cannot see that it remains beautiful. But the mixture of oil from animals and coal from trees and other substances therein, could form other kind of natural resources. Have you asked why those areas like Iraq, Iran, Saudi Arabia, Kuwait, and surrounding areas, are rich with fuels?
The Garden of Eden P a g e 9 When animal and plant remains under (Gen. 14:10) And the vale of Siddim was full of slimepits; and the kings of Sodom and Gomorrah fled, and fell there; and they that remained fled to the mountain. This is the results when things decomposed. The size of the garden was not mentioned, but seeing every kind of beasts and fowls, and every kind of tree was there, even those like the giant Sequoia tree, it points to us that the place is huge and the decomposition of animals and all trees would result to many substances. We were not just given the exact measurement of the garden. Location of the Garden of Eden T hese evidences from the scriptures and the development of science (via Dr. Juris Zarins) points to us of the location of the Eden Garden.
The Garden of Eden P a g e 10 It can be in that location of Persian Gulf or most part of the gulf where the four heads of rivers met. That is why Eden Garden is different from the Paradise we mentioned earlier. This is the literal Eden Garden, although you have to dig deeper. The Significance of this B elieve that God created everything, which includes the Garden of Eden, or continue to Evolve in your confusion? Either the Scripture, the Bible, is true or you just don t believe God s evidences on Biblical archaeology findings. God placed that Garden in Muslim countries, referring to the uncircumcised or those not Jews or of Israel (when God s covenant of Circumcision for Israel is still in effect, although now in His program for the body of Christ-it is done away).
The Garden of Eden P a g e (Eze. That s a blessing in disguise in favor of countries surrounding the gulf, or the location of Eden Garden. They are blessed with rich source of oil and many natural resources. But even if they do not believe this, the Scripture and its evidences to prove the existence of the Garden of Eden is infallible, because it was written and can be traced. But don t dream of Eden Garden. Believe Christ and you will be in a place more beautiful than it. Scriptures quoted from the KJV. 11 Write to us: Greatest Commission Fellowship P.O.
