In this chug, we will be building different things, perhaps more benches for the outdoor prayer space, perhaps an ark for outside. Get ready to have some fun! Come with your favorite camp song in mind and go back to those summer days and NFTY weekends with some great Jewish classics! (Emily Meyer) DC PAID FAMILY LEAVE CAMPAIGN WITH JUFJ: Over the past several years, Temple Shalom has been able to partner with JUFJ (Jews United for Justice) on a number of social justice issues pertinent to our community including Marriage Equality, the MD DREAM Act, and Paid Sick Days. This year we have an opportunity to advocate for DC Paid Family Leave, which is working to get Paid Family Leave for DC residents as well as MD residents who work in DC. This is an important issue that affects many in our congregation. This is the only block of time where students

Alex Fertig is back this year to continue teaching us how to connect with Israel through folk and modern dancing. In this course we will explore and participate in martial arts through a Jewish lens. (Emily Meyer) PLANNING NOW: ADVANCED DIRECTIVES: Oftentimes we wait until a crisis to think about measures we want taken in a life threatening situation causing a great deal of stress in our lives. Come learn about why now is the right time to be thinking about filling out an Advanced Directive.
