BIOGRAPHICAL SKETCH Gottlieb Albrecht, the son of Samuel and Elizabeth Albrecht, was born January 16, 1855, in St. Louis County, Missouri. He died May 26, 1938, in Bonhomme Township, St. Louis County. SCOPE AND CONTENT NOTE The collection consists primarily of deeds, title certificates, and related papers regarding Albrecht family property in U.S. surveys 415 and 1911 in Bonhomme Township, St. Louis County, Missouri. The collection also includes several promissory notes and papers relating to the estate of Samuel Albrecht.
Folder 1 1871 Nov 9 Certificate of title compiled by J.G. McClellan, 316 Chestnut St., St. Louis, Mo., for land in U.S. survey 1911 in Bonhomme Township, St. Louis County. Title is vested in Laura L. and Jas. B. Townsend. Includes annexed certificate signed L. Babcock, March 14, 1863, that he has examined the title to a tract of land in Bonhomme Township, St. Louis County, and that he has found the title vested in Benjamin F. Townsend, now deceased. 1874 Feb 24 Certificate of title compiled by J.G. McClellan, St. Louis, Mo., for land in Bonhomme Township, St. Louis County, owned by Laura L. and James B. Townsend. 1880 Jan 7 Tax deed for property in Bonhomme Township, St. Louis County, Missouri, assessed to Benjamin F. Townsend s estate, and sold for delinquent taxes to Joseph A. Berry. The property was, in turn, sold to Charles W. Caines. 1880 Sept 28 Tax deed for land in U.S. surveys 415 and 1911 in Bonhomme Township, St. Louis County, Missouri, assessed for tax to the Benjamin F. Townsend estate, sold to Charles W. Caines. 1881 Apr 13 Document signed Adam Fick and Lesetta Fick [or Lisetta Fick]. Received of Samuel Albrecht of St. Louis County, my father in law, eight hundred dollars, being the purchase money for the S.E. 1/4 of N.W. of Section 25 S. 45 R 3 an do hereby acknowledge this amount to form a part of the estate of my aforesaid father in law whenever he may depart this life, and that this amount shall be considered as an advancement made to my wife out of her share in such estate but this shall donation shall otherwise not be considered a lien against my or my wifes estate or property. 1881 Apr 14 Indenture between Elizabeth Mertz and Samuel M.
