You need to study the Bible because SO many people are SO confused about what it says. You want to KNOW what God tells us in His Word People who wrote the Bible were eyewitnesses of events. They saw some of the Bible lived out. Luke was a medical doctor. Luke wrote two books of the Bible Luke and Acts. Historically correct when the Bible does talk about history, it is ALWAYS exactly right. Q: What Bible story is told in the intro? A: Peter catching the fish with the tax money in its mouth. The Bible isn t a science book, the Bible talks about science, and is always exactly right. The Bible (God s Word) changes people s lives. No other book can change people like the Bible. When someone trusts Christ as Savior, he or she becomes a new creation. Bk Ref p2 p9 1:2 p14 1:4 p18 1:5 p20 1:6 p22 p 28 2:6 p42 2:7 p44 God offers us the ultimate gift eternal life through His Son, Jesus Christ. We don t deserve this gift. 3:2 p56 God offers it to us because of His love and grace. A Tutor is the person put in charge to lead the child to the teacher. The purpose of the law is to show the seriousness of sin and lead us to Christ. The law was not given to save people, but to show 3:3 p59 people they need a Savior. Study, memorize; sing songs; attend church; tell friends Jesus The last 6 of the commandments give us instructions for treating our family, neighbors with honor. 3:5 p63 The law (Commandments) showed us we are sinners in need of a Savior. Because of His mercy, God 3:6 p65 sent His only Son, Jesus, to be our Savior. We are saved by putting our faith in Jesus, our Savior. Bathsheba s husband, Uriah, was a Hittite.
