FromPastorMike... Dear Parent & Student: I am extremely excited about our fall ministry plan! I have been personally prayer for God to do an amazing work within the lives of our students and their families. It is going to be a great season full of awesomeness for everyone to be a part of! Mission & Vision Parkway Studentz is the student ministry of Parkway Baptist Church. It is for students who are in 6th-12th grade. We want to be a partner to parents as they spiritually disciple their students on a day to day basis (Deut. 6:4-9). We exist to teach and show students how they can LIVE LOVE. We want students to COMPLETELY LOVE GOD COMPASSIONATELY LOVE OTHERS CONFIDENTLY LIVE THE MISSION (Matt 22:37-40; 28:18-20). We accomplish this in a variety of ways. We have various ministry opportunities for students to be a part of throughout the year. Through these opportunities we strive to: REACH students with the Gospel of Jesus Christ, help students GROW in their faith, EQUIP students in service and ministry, and SEND them out to change their world with the life-changing good news of Jesus. We also offer opportunities for parents to receive training and be involved with the work God is doing in the life of their student. I am pumped to see what God is going to do through the lives of our Parkway Studentz! My prayer is that God would use our students and families in mighty ways for His glory and stir up a revival in this NOW generation.
MainPrograms... Studentz LifeGroup is our Sunday Morning Bible study groups for students 6th-12th grade. Students will be in a small group where they learn the truth of Scripture and how they can apply that truth to their lives! Sunday Mornings 9:00am at Grange Hall 10:30am at Parkway in Cottage C It is our desire to provide our students with a fun environment of engaging teaching and personal relationship building on Sunday mornings, all to make a difference in their lives with the gospel of Jesus Christ. THIS FALL: We will spend the month of September studying what it means to be a Parkway Student. During October-December, we will be going through a study on conversational evangelism called Sharing Jesus Without Freaking Out. THE GATHERING For this fall, we are switching up our Sunday night program. We are now calling it The Gathering. The Gathering is a time where all students will come together for a time of student led worship. The night will include a time of connection through fun activities, worship led by our Studentz Praise Team, and a Bible study time led by Pastor Mike with other students. Fall 2017 The Gathering Schedule: September 10th - Back2School Bash October 1st November 5th December 10th - Studentz Christmas Bash During the fall edition of The Gathering, we will be studying the book of Hebrews looking at how Jesus is our Great High Priest and what that means for our lives! STUDENTZ CONNECT - students will be challenged to dig deeper into God s Word and grow their connection with other students alike. We have groups for: Middle School Guys Middle School Gals High Schoolers (Combined Guys & Gals) Wednesday Nights 6:30-8:00pm @ Parkway **Starting October 4th.** ****September 20 & 27, students will participate in a church-wide study with adults.**** We desire for students to have an opportunity to CONNECT with God while CONNECTing with each other.

At the Shires Home - 11906 Riverpark WayChesterfield, VA 23838 LIVE LOVE DAYS @ Mercy Mall Saturday, October 14th Saturday, November 18th 10:00am-12:00noon Parents & Studentz are invited to join us at Mercy Mall for LIVE LOVE DAYS! We will meet at Mercy Mall and serve in whatever ways they need! We will have sign-ups if you are interested in helping out! This is a great way to serve one of our Parkway ministry partners as they serve and ministry to our community!
MinistryOpps&SpecialEvents... Sept. 29-30 @ Camp Willow Run Join us for our annual Fall Middle School Retreat, Sept. 29-30 at Camp Willow Run! This is a great chance for middle school students to connect & grow in their faith! The total price is $85 which includes 3 meals, lodging, & recreation activities that include a rock wall & giant swing! Don t miss this awesome retreat so register soon because spots are limited! *Register by turning in the $85 fee by Sunday, September 17th* SEE YOU AT THE POLE SYATP is a student led, global day of prayer that happens at middle & high schools all around the world. This year, it will take place on Wednesday, September 27 approx. 30-45 minutes before the first bell. Homeschool students are encouraged to attend SYATP at a middle or high school that is close to their home. During Friday Nights in the Fall, we do an outreach to our local High Schools. We will provide a tailgate time for the students, staff, and fans before their varsity Football Game. We provide food and fun until game time! We need adults and high school students to help with these tailgates. Contact Mike if you would like to help. 2016 Tailgate Crew Schedule: 9/8 - Manchester 10/6 - Clover Hill High School *Dates & locations are subject to change* Scaremare is at Liberty University in Lynchburg, VA. It presents fun-house rooms and scenes of death in order to confront people with the question What happens after I die? Approximately 26,000+ people have made decisions for Christ over the past two decades. The cost is $25 plus dinner money. High School - Thursday, October 26th Middle School - Friday, October 27th This fall, we will be having targeted training and discussion time for parents. This will not be your typical parent meeting. We are calling it The Parent Session. During this time, we will have a short training directed toward discipleship, parenting, student culture, etc. Then we will have open discussion and dialogue about some of the things that you as parents are facing in your families. This will be a great time of training and connecting for parents and we are excited to see what God does through this session. Mark your calendars for The Parent Session on Sunday, Nov. 12th at 5:00pm.
InternationalMissionProject... It is our desire to see every student who comes through our ministry to serve the Lord on an international mission project at least once before they graduate high school. When this happens, the student is forever changed by the experiences they have serving the Lord on mission in a foreign context alongside real life missionaries and local believers. We have 2 opportunities for high school students to go on an international mission project in 2018 Philippines Youth Camp April 2018 Approx. Cost: $1800 - $2000 As a participant, you will lead or co-lead a group of students through daily lessons and activities during a week long youth camp. We have a two part mission - 1) To evangelize the lost 2) To equip the believers to be disciple makers. IWC - Santiago, Chile June 24 - July 2, 2018 Approx. Cost: $2000 - $2300 Join us as we partner with IMB Missionaries, The Frealy family, to prayer walk, share the gospel, and serve alongside of the local church in the capital city of Chile! SummerCamp... In 2018, we will be going back to M-Fuge in Greenville, South Carolina July 16th - 21st. We will roll our sleeves up and jump right into ministry. Students will get to invest their time and energy into a variety of mission projects including Children s Ministry, Games & Rec, Social Ministry, Special Needs Ministry, and Painting, Construction and Yardwork. In the evenings, students have an opportunity to build group unity over dinner, worship, and Church Group Devotions. The full cost is $350 for students. $250 for college students and adults *Starting in October, register by turning in a $100 NON-REFUNDABLE, NON-TRANSFERABLE deposit to hold your spot by January 1st, 2018.
