How God Corrects Us Hebrews 12:5-5. And ye have forgotten the exhortation which speaketh unto you as unto children, My son, despise not thou the chastening of the Lord, nor faint when thou art rebuked of him: 6. For whom the Lord loveth he chasteneth, and scourgeth every son whom he receiveth. 7. If ye endure chastening, God dealeth with you as with sons; for what son is he whom the father chasteneth not? 8. But if ye be without chastisement, whereof all are partakers, then are ye bastards, and not sons. 9. Furthermore we have had fathers of our flesh which corrected us, and we gave them reverence: shall we not much rather be in subjection unto the Father of spirits, and live? 10. For they verily for a few days chastened us after their own pleasure; but he for our profit, that we might be partakers of his holiness.. Now no chastening for the present seemeth to be joyous, but grievous: nevertheless afterward it yieldeth the peaceable fruit of righteousness unto them which are exercised thereby.

How God Corrects Us Hebrews 12:5- I. Lack of Knowledge. A. Causes Destruction. 1. Hosea 4:6. 2. Isaiah 5:13 (Amp). B. Brings Traditions. 1. Mark 7:7-9, 13 (Amp). Therefore My people go into captivity [to their enemies] without knowing it and because they have no knowledge of God. Isaiah 5:13 (Amp.) 7 In vain fruitlessly and without profit do they worship Me, ordering and teaching to be obeyed as doctrines the commands and precepts of men. 8 You disregard and give up and bid depart from you the commandment of God, and cling to the tradition of men keeping it carefully and faithfully. 9 And He said to them, You have a fine way of rejecting (thus thwarting and nullifying and doing away with) the commandment of God, in order to keep your tradition--your own human regulations! 13 Thus you are nullifying and making void and of no effect [the authority of] the Word of God through your tradition, which you [in turn] hand on. Mark 7:7-9, 13 (Amp.)

How God Corrects Us Hebrews 12:5- Seven Places Jesus Shed His Blood 1. By his stripes we are healed. The blood shed from this beating redeems us from the curse of sickness & disease. 2. The crown of thorns. This blood breaks the curse of poverty. 3. Nails in the hands. The Symbol of authority; Blood shed here makes it possible for us to lay hands on the sick. 4. Nails in feet. Speaks of peace, and makes it possible to fulfill the Great Commission. 5. Blood and water flowed from his side. Doctors say this indicate his heart burst; He died of a broken heart. Blood shed here heals us of broken hearts. 6. When he shed his blood in the Garden of Gesthemene,, he bought back what Adam lost in the Garden of Eden. The sweat and drops of blood shed here redeems our will and we are now free to choose. 7. He was wounded for our transgressions, bruised for our iniquities. Iniquities are inherited weaknesses in a person s nature or inner being. A bruise is caused by bleeding on the inside of the body. The blood shed here redeems us from the weaknesses, also known as the generational curse.
