(Hardy) of Montrose, age 40, died Thursday, November 25, 2010 at her residence. Funeral services will be 11 AM Friday, December 3, 2010 at the O Guinn Family Funeral Home in Montrose. Burial at Montrose Township Cemetery. Friends may call at the funeral home on Thursday 5-8 PM. Heather was born July 18, 1970 in Wyandotte to Dennis and Marilyn (Glenn) Hardy and resided in Montrose the past 12 years. She married Ralph Becker on December 20, 1996 in Flint. She was office manager for Dr. Ralph Becker DDS. Heather was a member of Good Shepherd Catholic Church. She was involved in many charitable organizations, founded the Kayla Foundation and assisted with many fund raisers with WKCQ. Surviving are: husband, Ralph; she was the loving mother of Jessica and Brandon Becker all of Montrose; father, Dennis and Louise Hardy of IN; grandmother, Vivian Eddy of Waterford; mother-in-law, Gisela Becker of Franklin; siblings, Lisa (Cory) Combs of Huntington Woods, Brett (Camille) Hardy of Armada, Kristyn (Jason) Humphrey of KY; nieces, nephews and other relatives. Shirley was born in Flint, MI on July 12, 1936, daughter of the late, Raymond and Emma (Quinn) Lindsay. She married Donald Bemis on March 1, 1955 in Angola, IN. Shirley was an LPN at St. Joseph Hospital before retiring in 1996. Her family was her pride and joy, especially caring for her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. She enjoyed traveling in her spare time. Shirley is survived by her husband, Donald; son, Michael (Melinda) Bemis; daughter, Sue (Christopher) Carr; grandchildren, Monica McAlister, Stephanie Jones, Mackey Bemis, Emily Bemis and Michael Bemis Jr.; greatgrandchildren, Abigail McAlister and Rowen McAlister; brothers, Jack (Rose) Lindsay and Don (Roxanne) Lindsay. BOWNS, Bernard J. of Clio, age 86, went to be with the Lord, Thursday, November 25, 2010 at Young at Heart Assisted Living in Holly. Bernie was born April 26, 1924 in Montrose to the late Thomas and Jenny (Jordan) Bowns. He was a resident of Clio most of his life. He served in the US Army during WW II. He married Opal in 1950; she preceded him in death in 1976. He then married Mary Jane Youker on October 5, 2009 after 23 years of companionship. Mr. Bowns retired from Buick in 1974 with 32 years seniority. Bernie was a member of Christian Faith Church and the Clio VFW Post #1452. He enjoyed hunting, bowling and baseball. Surviving are: wife, Mary Jane; 1 daughter; 3 step-children, David Youker, Cindy Walt, Teresa Ladley; 3 grandchildren; 6 greatgrandchildren; 2 sisters, Mary Walters and Sybil Raebert; several nieces and nephews. He was also preceded in death by brothers, Tommy, Ralph and Henry, and a sister, Dorothy. Bill was born in Grand Blanc, MI on September 12, 1930,the son of the late Chris and Eva Christensen. Bill married Phyllis Slottke on August 4, 1957. Bill attended Michigan School for the Deaf. He enjoyed many years of fishing, hunting and playing cards. Bill retired from General Motors Flint Truck and Bus after 35 years of service and was a member of UAW Local 598. Surviving are wife of 53 years, Phyllis; 2 daughters, Mary and husband Ron Wilson of Grand Blanc and Sandy and husband Tom Myers of Flint; 3 grandchildren, Sara Wilson, Aubrey and husband Robert Hildebrand and Madison Myers; 2 great-grandchildren, Jayden and Cash. Bill was preceded in death by his

parents and sister, Keitha. A special thank you to his home care nurse, Kim and the staff at Genesys Hospice Care Center in Goodrich for all their care and support. Joseph was an active member in the Masonic Temple #556, Burton Eagles, Grand Blanc Moose Lodge, Elf Khurafeh Shriners Military Patrol, Hillbilly Outhouse #2, Flint Senior Olympics; past member of Clan of McKenzie and Para Club. He was selected Mason of the year 2011 Morning Star Lodge #556 Swartz Creek Chapter, and was to be installed December 11 as Worshipful Master, and was to be installed December 18 as President 2011 of Flint Military Patrol for the Elf Khurafeh Shrine. He was an avid bowler; he liked fishing and hunting, enjoyed golfing, gardening, riding his lawn mower and playing Santa Clause. Surviving are his wife, Alma; sons Tim (Patrice) of Lansing, Joe Jr. (Jane) of Davison, Thomas (Sherry) of Kaleva, Carl (Jodie) of Flushing, Andrew (Tracey) of Flushing and Ben (Ann) of Swartz Creek; 14 Grandchildren; 13 great-grandchildren; sister Dorothy Williams of FL; brothers Charles (Judy) of Davison, and James (Barbara) of Gibraltar. Donald was born April 18, 1921 in Oakville, CA the son of Clarence D. and Lena Mae (Klieser) Hennagir and was a 1941 graduate of Beecher High School. He served in the U.S. Army 89th Division, Military Police in Germany during WWII. He was married to Marylee Helms on April 23, 1943 in Colorado Springs, CO. Mr. Hennagir retired from General Motors in 1977 with over 30 years of service. He was a member of UAW Local #569, Linden United Methodist Church, Loose Senior Center and the American Legion. Surviving are: wife, Marylee; daughters, Donna and husband Ronald Baumbach, Judith and husband George Haggerty all of Linden; five grandchildren, Linnea (K.C.) Truby, Christopher Baumbach, Todd (Marcy) Haggerty, Lea (Darrell) Collins, Shane (Katie) Haggerty; eight great-grandchildren, Derek, Daniel, Dylan, Kory, Ryan, Lilly, Colton and Logan; brother, Larrie (Janith) Hennagir; sisters-in-law, Verna Hennagir and Muriel Helms. He was preceded in death by his brothers, Bondie and Garrie; sister, Devota. MOCHTY, Leo John of Oscoda, age 75, passed away November 27, 2010 at Brian's House Hospice. A Funeral Mass will be celebrated 12 NOON Tuesday, November 30, 2010 at St. John the Evangelist Catholic Church, 404 N. Dayton St., Davison; Rev. Fr. Andrew A. Czajkowski celebrant. Leo is survived by his wife, Carolyn; children, Christine Mochty, Donald Mochty, Ronald Mochty, Natalie (Andy Raymond) Mochty and Jonathon (Lori) Mochty; grandchildren, Anthony Mochty, Patrick Leavitt, Madyson and McKenzie Mochty; great-grandchild, Kaysie Ann; sisters, Patricia (Joe) Oldeck and Catherine (John) Keener. He attended Ohio Schools and Kalamazoo Valley Community College. He served his country in the United States Navy and Coast Guard, retiring after 27 years of service. Wallace served in WWII, the Korean War and the Vietnam War. After retiring from the Coast Guard he became Circulation Manager for the Detroit Free Press. For the past 38 years he has been a resident of Fenton. Wallace was a member of the VFW Fenton Post, The Cooties, The Eagles, The Moose and The Dad's Foreign Service. Surviving are: 6 children, Martin Doll and wife Keli of Ortonville, Russell Doll of Gobles, D'Ette Doll of Kamuela, Hawaii, Julie Ann Doll and husband Kris of Salcha, Alaska, stepson, Gordon Miller and wife Nancy of Cheboygan and stepdaughter, Cynthia Meyer and husband Mark of Milford; 8 grandchildren, Rodrigo, Robert, Spencer, Andria, Jacob, Katie, Chasity and step grandchild Mark Miller and wife Wendy; 4 great grandchildren, Austin, Samantha, Connor and Sasha; sister, Charlotte Serb of Vermillion, OH, and former wife Jacqueline Doll. He was preceded in death by his parents, two wives, Frances and Jeanne, son Christopher, and brother Richard. Surviving are his wife Donna; 4 sons: Barry (Kathy), Bruce (Judy), Bradley (Karen), and Todd (Renee ); 14 grandchildren and several great-grandchildren; 3 brothers: Dell (Shirley), Harold (Inez), and Edward (Bonnie); many nieces, nephews and cousins. Burt was preceded in death by 3 brothers and a sister. Funeral services will be held on Tuesday November 30, 2010 at 1:00 at Watkins Brothers Funeral Home, Durand Chapel with Pastor John Walworth officiating. Family will meet with friends on Tuesday from 11:00 a.m. until time of service. Burial will take place in Greenwood Cemetery, Vernon. Frederick was born on December 16, 1921 in Wetzel, West Virginia, the son of Carl and Bessie(Strickland) Yeager. He graduated from Durand High School and then served in the U.S. Army serving during the WWII. He married Naomi Ferguson in 1945 and she predeceased him in 2002. Frederick was retired from Fisher Body in Flint and also worked for the railroad. He is survived by his nephew, Mike(Jan) Yeager and family of Holt.
