Scripture Truth OD ISthe only one true od Among the gods there is none like You, Lord; no deeds can compare with Yours All the nations You have made will come and worship before You, Lord; they will bring glory to Your name or You are great and do marvelous deeds; You alone are od (Psalm 86:810, NIV) WORSHIP MOMENT 1 Read Psalm 86:810 2 Display a poster or write on the board making 2 columns One column says OUR OD and the other column says ALL OTHER ODS 3 Take a moment to explain what a god or idol is An idol is a picture or statue made by people for them to worship 4 You are now ready to compare our od with all other gods You can start by saying that all other gods are made by people, but no one created od 5 After you have listed several ways our od is greater than all other gods, say a prayer thanking and praising Him for being the only true and living od LISTENIN ATIVITY 1 You will need craft pom poms, bottle caps, buttons, pennies, stones, paper clips, rubber bands, straws cut into 1inch pieces, and other small items that can be put into a plastic cup Distribute plenty of these to each child, along with a plastic cup 2 While the children listen to the recording of od Is, have them place an item in the cup every time they hear a word or phrase that describes od (They could pick out as many as 22 words or phrases) 3 After they have listened to the song, ask the children to name some of the descriptions of od that they remember hearing OD IS! od Is Teaching Tips Page 2
