Newsletter The final meeting of Comenius Partners in Puck 19 th of June 2013 The arrival of Slovakian group. About 8 o clock we met in front the vocational school in Puck with the Slovakian group. Slovaks were tired, but also very excited. They were hosted by Polish families and went to do some activities prepared by their new families. The teachers stayed in a school dormitory. The beautiful weather was the best surprise for all of us. One of our hosted families was represented by our local authorities I mean by the mayor of the town whose daughter Estera is our student. 1

20 th of June 2013 Busy day in Puck Puck. The day started with some classes in our school. We were doing a poster. Then we went on a guided tour of our school. Next we went to Scouting Marine Center (HOM) to sail. We were all having a lot of fun. After sailing we had dinner. Then we spent the time with our host families doing different interesting things. Eventually we all met with the Slovaks to have a little walk in 2

21 st of June 2013 Arrivals day On that day we expected our partners arrival except for the Slovaks. In the morning it was an arrival of the Czechs, in the evening we went to an airport to welcome the Spanish and English friends. Slovaks enjoyed their day in Hel. We were all happy to greet our guests at the airport or at the railway station. 4

22nd of June 2013 Day in Tri-city That day with all (apart from the Slovaks, who left in the morning) of Comenius partners we went to visit beautiful places in Gdańsk and Sopot. We visited a lot of interesting places around that beautiful old city by a professional tourist guide with an amazing sense of humor. We were in Solidarity Museum, Mariacki Church, Amber Exhibition and Artus Court and we had some free time in Długa Street. Then we went to Sopot and also had a free time, within we could see pier or just simply relax by drinking coffee in a nearby café. After that we were back in Puck, tired, but really satisfied! 5

23 rd of June 2013 A day of blast in a feast We started our day with a trip to Łeba. When we arrived to Łeba we took a mini bus to take us through Słowiński National Park. After that short ride we could see beautiful dunes. We were all excited. We could make a picnic or enjoy a bath in the sea. But the real attraction was a feast. At first we were dancing to the popular club music. But after a little while a feast changed its style. We were taught Kashubian alphabet and a plenty of dances. We could eat a great food and also had a lot of other things to do to integrate with other partners. 8

24 th of June 2013 School and Puck tour We started a day with some presentations and with summing up Comenius project that with sadness is coming to its end. We had an official meeting with our local authorities in a person of a deputy starost Zygmunt Wiśniewski and our headteacher Piotr Czaja. They both made a speech. Then we went on a tour around our school with the British and Spanish. After that we saw a Museum of Florian Ceynowa. Then we went to church. After that we were heading to lunch. Then it was a time to get into a bus and go to Hel. We saw seals and were attending a lecture about these beautiful sea animals. Our guests had a chance to fish with nets to research the bottom of the Baltic Sea. We also had a free time. After the leasure time, we went to Jurata and had an hour for ourselves. It was the end of our long day. 9

25 th of June 2013 A day ruined by the rain After sunny, previous days rain appeared and ruined our plans. At first we were at school, making posters about ourselves and our countries. After that we were presenting those ones. Next we went to Scounting Marine Center HOM to sail. Unluckily because of a rain and a hard wind we weren t able to take up sailing. We did a short course of sailing and security on a boat. After that and lunch at HOM we said goodbye to the Spanish and Czech group and were integrating with the others. 10

26 th of June 2013 The farewell to English That day in the morning we went with an English group to the airport. Their plane took off at 10. The English were the last, who left us early in the morning. We spent a great time with all of you. Thank you guys for cooperating with us! We hope that you will remember Poland forever. It was a wonderful experience for all of us. 11

ENGLISH I have really enjoyed the Comenius project, even though I only went to Poland. The project has helped improve my Spanish and Polish and I ve made plenty of new friends, who are very friendly. Poland s history is amazing and I would love to live in Poland or go on holiday there. The people I ve met have been very nice and I will sorely miss the country as well as the people. This project has got me more interested in foreign languages other than French.
