S c i e n c e a n d I s l a m b y M u h a m m a d B i l a l A m j a d After getting a good response from the members of my page Science and Islam present on Face-Book makes me to write a book on Science and Islam.. Actually some of the fans of my page forced me to write a book on Science and Islam by sending me too much messages then finally I decided to write a small book only of 20 pages. I used too many references in the articles of this small informative book. I hope you will like it. I am not a scholar or a writer I am only a student that s why I have not more knowledge about Science and Islam because I am studying but I wrote these articles after researching about Islam And Science and Alhamdulillah I wrote 2o pages which is also a great honor for me. As I told above that I am not a scholar or writer I am just a student that s why I only write 20 pages but after studying Quran and Hadith books with concentration one can easily write a book of more than 3,000 pages. I have a page on facebook with the name Science and Islam you can visit that page. It includes the videos, picture and Quran Verses regarding Science and Islam. If I have said something wrong in this small informative book then I am really sorry about that, and if you find something wrong then let me know my contacts are given below. Thank you for reading this I hope you will like my Book which I have wrote after great research. Jazakallahukhair Email: Bilalamjad78633@yahoo.com Cell-Phone: (+92) 313-4514190 Muhammad Bilal Amjad

S c i e n c e a n d I s l a m b y M u h a m m a d B i l a l A m j a d Introduction to Islam Islam is a Religion, but not in the western meaning of religion. The Western connotation of the terms religion is something between the believer and God. Islam is a religion organizes all aspects of life on both the individual and national level. As we all know that Islam is a complete Code of Life Yes, it is true that Islam Is a complete code of life and it deals with every Aspect of Life. Islam organizes your relations with God, with yourself, with your Children, with your relatives with your neighbor, with your guest and with other brethren. Islam Clearly establishes your duties and rights in all those relationships. Islam establishes a clear system of worship, civil rights, laws of marriage and divorce, laws of inheritance, code of behavior, what not to drink what to wear and what not to wear, how to worship God, how to govern, the laws of war and peace, when to go to war, when to make peace the laws of economics and the laws of buying and selling. Hence Islam is a complete Code of Life Islam is a true religion which tells us that there is only one God (Allah) and Muhammad (P.B.U.H) is his Last Prophet. Islam is the only religion which guides a man through out his Life. Islam is not for the Mosque only, it is for daily life, a guide to life in its all aspects: Economically, and politically and socially. Islam is a complete constitution. Thus Islam keeps the Muslims away from confusions, because Islam is logical and rational. Allah is one Allah has no sons Allah is not trinity. Allah does not kill to save no mediation is required between Allah and Man. Islam organizes human nature but does not go against it. There is not a class of clergy in Islam; nor is celibacy. Hence Islam is a complete code of life

S c i e n c e a n d I s l a m b y M u h a m m a d B i l a l A m j a d The word ISLAM has two fold meanings: Peace and submission to God (Allah). This submission requires a fully conscious and willing effort to submit to the one Almighty God. One must consciously and conscientiously give oneself to the service of Allah. This means to act on what Allah enjoins all of us to do (in the Qur an) and what his beloved Prophet, Muhammad (P.B.U.H) encouraged us to do in his sunnah. Once we humble ourselves, rid ourselves of our egoism and submit totally to Allah, and to Him exclusively, in faith and in action, we will surely feel peace in our external conduct as well. Islam is careful to remind us that it not a religion to be paid mere lip service; rather it is an all-encompassing way of life that must be practiced continuously for it to be Islam. The Muslim must practice the five pillars of the religion and believe in the five articles of faith as describe below: Five Pillars Of Islam 1. The evidence that only Allah is fit to worship and Muhammad (P.B.U.H) is creature of Allah and His last Prophet (Shahadat) 2. Observance of Prayers five times a day (Namaz) 3.keeping of Fasts in the month of Ramadan (Fasting) 4.Payment of Zakat (Zakat) 5.Performance of Hajj (Hajj) These five Pillars comprise those basic principles and actions which support the entire set up of Islam. The Holy Prophet (P.B.U.H) says thus; The building of Islam has been raised upon five pillars; The evidence that only Allah is fit to worship and that Hazrat Muhammad (P.B.U.H) is a creature of Allah and His last Prophet; observance of Namaz; payment of zakat; performance of hajj and keeping of fasts in the month of Ramadan (Bukhariand Muslim)

S c i e n c e a n d I s l a m b y M u h a m m a d B i l a l A m j a d Five articles of faith 1.Belief in Allah 2.Belief in Holy Books 3.Belief in Prophets 4.Belief in Angels 5.Belief in the day of judgment Allah (SWT) says in Holly Quran (Sura-Al Baqra verse no: 177) that: But it is righteousness to believe in Allah and the last day, and the angels, and the Book and the messengers There are other injunctions and commandments which concern virtually all facets of ones personal, family and civic life. It was a little introduction to Our True religion Islam Now we will discuss about SCIENCE AND ISLAM in our next articles. (Turn over the page)

S c i e n c e a n d I s l a m b y M u h a m m a d B i l a l A m j a d Heavens and Earth Whenever we look around our surroundings we always think of its creator. We cannot think that the such a huge mountains, Rivers, Seas, Stars, Moon and Skies etc have came into being of their own. Similarly we cannot even imagine that so large and compact universe can come into being without any creator. In Holy Quran (Sura-Ibrahim verse no: 10) Allah (SWT) says that: Is there a doubt about Allah, The creator of the heavens and Earth? From the verse (mentioned above) we came into know that only Allah is the creator of this universe and each and every thing which we see on this universe is created by Allah. As we know that earth is revolving around sun in its specific duration, Sun rises on its specific time, Night and Day passes within their respective fixed duration and all the Planets are moving in their own orbits they does not enters the orbits of each other, So there is someone who has created all these and who has manage them so nicely, Who Is He? The answer is in the Holy Quran (Sura- Al Mulk verse No: 3 and 4) Allah (SWT) says that: He who created the seven skies one above another: No want of proportion will though see in the creation of (Allah) Most Gracious. So Turn thy vision again; seest thou any flaw? Again turn thy vision a second time; (thy) vision will come back to thee dull and discomfited in a state worn out As told above that every planet is moving in its fixed orbit like Moon and Sun and similarly night and day passes within their respective fixed duration So Allah (SWT) has not permitted them to disturbed the order in which they has been created. In Holy Quran (Sura-Yaseen verse no: 40) Allah (SWT) says that: It is not permitted to Sun to catch up the moon, nor can the night outstrips the day. Each (just) swims along in (its own) orbit (According to law)

S c i e n c e a n d I s l a m b y M u h a m m a d B i l a l A m j a d We see that every thing on the universe is created with a specific discipline and pattern. According to Holy Quran (Sura Alqamar verse no: 49) Allah says that: Verily, all things have we created in proportion and measure This indicates the presence of Allah Almighty a super and sublime power who is governing it. In Sura Al Imran verse number 190 Allah says that: Behold! In the creation of the heavens and earth, and the alternation of the day and night, there are indeed signs for men of understanding As we know that Science discovered that the sun gives light to us so it works as a Radiant Lamp. What Is a Lamp? Lamp is something which gives light to us so In Holy Quran Allah (SWT) says that: It is He who has made the sun a radiant lamp and moon a light, and has determined for it phases so that you might know the number of years and the computation. (Al-Quran 10:5) Allah (SWT) also says that: Blessed is He who made constellations in the skies, and placed therein a lamp and Moon giving light. (Al-Quran-25:6) From all these verses of Our Holy Quran one can easily conclude that this universe and each and every thing present in it is created by Allah (SWT) and our Holy Quran has told each and every thing 1400 years ago which science is discovering now. In Holy Quran Allah (SWT) says that: It is He who created the Night and the day, and the sun and the moon: all (the celestial bodies) Swim a long each in its rounded course. (Al-Quran 21:33)

S c i e n c e a n d I s l a m b y M u h a m m a d B i l a l A m j a d Islam is that religion which emphasizes on the need to acquire knowledge from the Cradle to the Grave, The Prophet of Islam considered the ink of a scholar more precious than the blood of martyr. Modern science informed us that the moon is moving around the Earth in an Oval or elliptical orbit. Also the Earth and other planets revolve in oval or elliptical orbit around the sun. In the Holy Quran this is described as: And He is who created the night and the day, and the sun and the moon, they float, each in orbit. (Al-Anbiyaa 21:33) And in Surah-Al-An am (The cattle) 6:1 Allah (SWT) says that: All praises and Thanks be to Allah, Who Created heavens and the earth, and originated the darkness and the light So there is no doubt that Islam is the complete guidance that will lead us to everlasting life in Paradise which Allah has prepared for those who believe in Him and do right.

S c i e n c e a n d I s l a m b y M u h a m m a d B i l a l A m j a d What Quran says about Rains and Skies? Modern science has affirmed the scientific points mentioned in the verse of the Quran. In the Holy Quran Allah (SWT) says that: And it is He Who sends the winds as heralds of glad tidings, going before His Mercy (rain).till when they have carried a heavy-laden cloud, We drive it to a land that is dead, and then We cause water (rain) to descend thereon. Then We produce every kind of fruit therewith. Similarly, We shall raise up the dead, so that you may remember or take heed (Al-Quran 7:57) In another verse of Holy Quran Allah (SWT) says that: And we send the winds fertilizing (to fill heavily the clouds with water), then cause the water (rain) to descend from the sky, and We give it to you to drink, and it is not you who are owners of its store[i.e. to give water to whom you like or to withhold it from you like]. (Al-Quran 15:22) The winds carry water particles which are rich in salt up into the atmosphere these particles which are called aerosols function as water traps and form cloud drops by collecting around the water vapor themselves. The clouds are formed from water vapor that condenses around the salt crystals or dust particles in the air because the water droplets in these clouds are very small (with diameter between 0.01 and 0.02mm), the clouds are suspended in air

S c i e n c e a n d I s l a m b y M u h a m m a d B i l a l A m j a d and spread across the sky. Thus the sky is covered in clouds. The water particles that surround salt crystals and dust particles thicken and form rain drops that become heavier than the air leave clouds and start to fall to the ground as rain. In holy Quran Allah (SWT) says that: See you not that Allah drives the clouds gently, then joins them together then makes them into a heap of layers, and you see the rain comes from between them; and He sends down from the sky hail (like) mountains, (or there are in the heaven mountains of hail from where He sends down hail) and strikes therewith whom He wills, and averts it from whom He wills. The vivid flash of its (clouds) lightening nearly blinds the sight. (Al-Quran 24:43) So Quran is not a science text book. Its purpose is not to teach us Science, but to teach us guidance the guidance that will lead us to everlasting life in Paradise which Allah has prepared for those who believe in Him and do right.

S c i e n c e a n d I s l a m b y M u h a m m a d B i l a l A m j a d Quran and Embryology As we discussed above that Quran is not a science text book. Its purpose is not to teach us Science, but to teach us guidance the guidance that will lead us to everlasting life in Paradise which Allah has prepared for those who believe in Him and do right. And we also discussed that Islam is that religion which emphasizes on the need to acquire knowledge from the Cradle to the Grave, The Prophet of Islam considered the ink of a scholar more precious than the blood of martyr. Those things which Modern Science is discovering now have been told in Holy Quran 1400 years ago. Now will discuss about Embryology and what our Holy Quran says about Embryology. See the following Picture what you see? A leech like structure? Now see what the Holy Quran says about this leech like structure: Then of that leech like structure, we made Chewed lump. (Al-Quran 23:14) Yes, it is a human embryo which looks somewhat like a chewed lump of flesh. And it looks like a leech.

S c i e n c e a n d I s l a m b y M u h a m m a d B i l a l A m j a d Now see the following Picture: We note that the human embryo looks somewhat like a chewed lump of flesh. The chewed appearance results from the somites which resemble teeth mark. The somites represent the beginning or primordial of the retebrac. In Holy Quran (23:14) Allah (SWT) says that: Then we made out of the chewed lump bones and clothed the bones in flesh And In Holy Quran (32:9) Allah (SWT) says: And he gave you hearing and sight and feelings and understanding This indicates that special senses of hearing, seeing and feeling develop in this order which is true. The primordial of the internal ears appear before the beginning of eyes and the brain (the site of understanding) differentiate last. In the Holy Quran (22:5) Allah (SWT) says that: And we cause whom We will to rest in the wombs for an appointed term.

S c i e n c e a n d I s l a m b y M u h a m m a d B i l a l A m j a d He also says that: It is he who created man from water then has he established relationships of lineage and marriage: for thy Lord has power (over all things). (Al-Quran 25:54) This seems to imply that God determines which embryos will remain in the uterus until full terms In Holy Quran Allah (SWT) says that: Now let man but think from what he is created. He is created from a drop emitted-proceeding from between the backbone and ribs (Al-Quran 86:5-7) Allah Azwajal Also says in Holy Quran that: And made his progeny from a quintessence of the nature of fluid despised. (Al- Quran 32:8) And in one verse of our Holy Quran Allah (SWT) says that: Verily we created man from a drop of mingled sperm (Al-Quran 72:2) Allah (SWT) created human beings in pairs and this thing is described in the Holy Quran (53:45-46) as That he did create in pairs-male and female from a seed when lodged in its place According to Dr.E.Marshall Johnsons: Summary: The Quran describes not only the development of external form, but emphasizes also the internal stages, the stages inside the embryo, of its creation and development, emphasizing major events organized by contemporary science The interpretation of the verses in the Quran referring to human development would not have been possible in the 7 th century A.D or even hundreds of years ago. We can interpret them now because the science and Modern Embryology affords us new understanding. Undoubtly, there are other verses in the HOLY QURAN related to human development that will be understood in the future as our knowledge increase.

S c i e n c e a n d I s l a m b y M u h a m m a d B i l a l A m j a d Sayings of Scientists about Holy Quran Islam is that religion which emphasizes on the need to acquire knowledge. And Quran is a book of complete Guidance. Now see what the scientist says about Holy Quran. The following are some comments of scientists on the scientific miracles of Quran. 1. The way it was explained to me is that Muhammad (PBUH) was a very ordinary man. He could not read, didn t know how to write. In fact he was illiterate. And we are talking about twelve [actually about fourteen] hundred years ago. You have someone illiterate making profound pronouncements and statements and that are amazingly accurate and scientific nature. And I Personally can t see how this could be a mere chance. There is too much accuracy and, like Dr. Moore, I have no difficulty in my mind that is a divine inspiration or revelation which led him to these statements. Dr.T.V.N. Persuad 2. Summary: The Quran describes not only the development of external form, but emphasizes also the internal stages, the stages inside the embryo, of its creation and development, emphasizing major events organized by contemporary science Dr.E.Marshall Johnsons 3. I find it very interesting that this sort of information is in the ancient scriptures of the Holy Quran, and I have no way of knowing where they would come from, but I think it is extremely Interesting that they are there and that this work is going on to discover it, the meaning of some of the passages Dr.William W.Hay

S c i e n c e a n d I s l a m b y M u h a m m a d B i l a l A m j a d 4. I am very impressed by finding true astronomical facts in [the] Quran, and for us the modern astronomers have been studying very small pieces of the universe. We ve concentrated our efforts for understanding of [a] very small part. Because by using telescopes, we can see only few parts [of] sky without thinking [about] the whole universe. So by reading [The] Quran and by answering to the questions, I think I can find my future way for investigation of Universe. Dr.Yoshihide Kozai 5. The agreement I have found between statements in Quran and saying in the Hadith may help to close the gap between science and religion which has existed for so many years. Dr. Moore

S c i e n c e a n d I s l a m b y M u h a m m a d B i l a l A m j a d Few Sunnah And their Benefits What Is Sunnah? All the activities done by our Prophet Muhammad (PBUH) are knownn as Sunnah Now we will discuss few Sunnah of Our Beloved Prophet Hazrat Muhammad (Sallallaho Alaehay Wasalam) and their benefits. First Sunnah is Wearing Loose Dress Benefits of Loose dress In the Light of Medical Sciencee 1. Loose dress produces positive impact on the growth of Muscles and keeps them agile. 2. Loose dress allows the blood to flow normally to the vital organs which has beneficial effects on Heart, Brain and Digestive System. 3. Loose Dress helps to reduce nervousness and tension thus prevents anxiety and depression. 4. Gastroenterologists and Herpetologists advise not to wear tight dress. Due to tension a chemical substance called Gastro is released in the stomach, which leads to acidity and consequently gastric ulcer. So these were the few benefits of one of the Sunnah of our Holy Prophet (PBUH). Now Lets seee the next Sunnah and its benefits.

S c i e n c e a n d I s l a m b y M u h a m m a d B i l a l A m j a d Benefits of sleeping according to the Sunnah of our Holy Prophet (PBUH) In the Light of Modern Science Second Sunnah of Our Prophet (S.A.W) Now will discuss the benefits of this Sunnah in the light of Modern Science 1. Sleeping on the right side does not let the weight of stomach and intestine to suppress heart hence blood circulation is not affected. 2. By sleeping on right side heart remains on the topside one will not have a deep sleep. A little noise can prepare someone to face any contingency. It also develops the habit of early morning rise. 3. Sitting and rubbing the eyes for wile after awaking adjusts the heartbeat according to the new posture, hence it has the positive impact on our heart. 4. Napping after lunch helps to prevent burden on coronary artery. According to cardiologists, having a nap after lunch produces positive effect on heart. These were the few benefits of sleeping according to Sunnah of our Holy Prophet (PBUH), now come toward third and last Sunnah of Our Prophet (PBUH).

S c i e n c e a n d I s l a m b y M u h a m m a d B i l a l A m j a d Drinking Water According to the Sunnah Of Our Prophet (PBUH) Third Sunnah of Our Prophet (PBUH) which we have to discuss is: Now will discuss the b of Modern Science 1. Accordin one gulp absorptio causes ge 2. Drinking muscles a membran increasess the acidity. 3. The meth quenchin stomach left by earlier taken sips. 4. Moreove stomach, benefits of this (Drinking Water) Sunnah in the light ng to the latest scientific research, drinking water in and whilst standing, leads toward its rapid on, hence it impairs normal function of kidneys and eneral body edema, specially the edema of foot. water immediately after meal loosens the stomach and can lead to the inflammation of mucous ne of the stomach. It reduces the alkaline portion and hod of drinking water in intervals is very beneficial for ng the thirst. When water enters the hot thirsty in intervals, the last sip of water will quench the thirst er this method is better suited for temperature of the, so as not to suddenly invade it with cold substances. So these were the few Sunnah and their benefits in the light of Modern science. I have discussed only three Sunnah, but no doubt, Each and Every Sunnah of our beloved Prophet Hazrat Muhammad (Sallallaho Alaehay Wasalam) is beneficial for us.

S c i e n c e a n d I s l a m b y M u h a m m a d B i l a l A m j a d No doubt, one can led the best life by Obeying the Sunnah of Prophet Muhammad (PBUH). So these were the few articles related to Science and Islam which tells that only and only Islam is the true religion and Quran, Sunnah and Hadiths are the best guidance for all mankind. As we discussed earlier that Quran is not a science text book its purpose is only to guide us towards the right path. Therefore in Sura Al Imran verse number 190 Allah says that: Behold! In the creation of the heavens and earth, and the alternation of the day and night, there are indeed signs for men of understanding In the above quoted verse Allah says that there are indeed signs for men of understanding which tells that in the creation of heavens, earth, Skies, Universe and each and every thing present in the universe is the witness of the existence of Allah Almighty but only a men of understanding can understand this. Hence it is Scientifically Proved that Islam is a true religion. In fact Islam is the only religion which guides a man through out his Life. In short we can say that: Islam is a complete code of life which deals with each and every aspect of life Thanks for Reading All Jazakallahukhair Muhammad Bilal Amjad
