It has been substantially restored to its original form, though it remains assigned to Easter Thursday. It is therefore a restoration of an old collect, a placement for an old collect, and a continuation of the 1979 order all in one. Easter 3 (ACNA) is the same as Easter 2 (classical BCPs) because of the different way the Sundays after Easter are counted. The ACNA counts them as Sundays OF Easter, Easter 2 being the Sunday after Easter. Classical BCPs count them as Sundays AFTER Easter, Easter 1 being the Sunday after Easter.

Sources for the Collects of the Year in the 1979 American BCP Key: in this context means to the BCP. New collects were largely adapted from ancient and other sources, and will have that source indicated in ( ). Collects that were ly composed for the 79 BCP will have no such indication. cf. means that an old collect has been so heavily revised as to constitute a collect. An * marks those collects that are original compositions of Cranmer. Collects in bold are those that have retained their place in the church year from classical prayer books. 1979 BCP Classical prayer books *Advent 1 *Advent 1 Advent 2 (cf.
