Al Fattah : (wa Hua khairul Fatiheen) Dated: 22/01/12 Tuesday Our struggle is At tauluqq- attachment. We are attached to so many things in our life because we benefit from them. Sometimes we get attached to things so much that they become a problem and we start to face difficulties. These problems can be solved by becoming a slave of Allah rather than becoming slave of someone else. We feel that we are surrounded by so many attractive things then how do we attach to Allah? Our heart needs nourishment. For that we need to know Allah more and become His slave. People don t know that how they should solve their problems. If we know Allah all our life will be Naeem that is full of happiness. Last week we studied: Allah mentioned Al Fattah in Quran once. Allah has decreed for us humans when, what and for whom to open Whatever Allah has decreed to open and close both are good for us. Actually the closing is also an opening towards other paths. Allah has the charge to open anything and He has taken control over everything. Allah s opens up according to His perfect knowledge. Allah opens the means to you. If the whole universe gathers to close what Allah has opened they cannot close. Allah gives blessings then the real test starts.
What will make you realize Allah as AL Wakeel? All the names of Allah are interconnected to each other. For attaching yourself to Allah you have to fully rely on Allah. When you know that Allah is Al Fattah that is only Allah can open for you then you will take Allah as Al Wakeel. When you realize that no one can harm or benefit you without the permission of Allah then you will have complete reliance on Him. We will not be afraid from anyone else. You will free yourself from all the chains and attach to Allah. This will make you humble. And if only the people of the cities had believed and feared Allah, We would have opened upon them blessings from the heaven and the earth; but they denied [the messengers], so We seized them for what they were earning." If a person have taqwa and belief then Allah bestows them with blessings abundantly. This opening is either a gift or a test. This test is to make people humble to Allah and to go back to Allah. People get astray when they think that they got the blessings from Allah because they deserve it. This makes them arrogant and proud about themselves; they think that they are someone special. This is what destroyed Firaun Qarun and Namrood. Whenever you get some blessings from Allah then do Shukar i.e. be thankful.
There are some openings which are a test from Allah. Whatever Allah gives us are either Bounties from Allah or Punishment and torment from Allah In order to understand the punishment opening we need to know the stages in which Allah deals with His creation. The first step; Gentle reminders Allah is Rabb-the Nurturer and Reformer. Allah guides the humanity for their purpose of this life. Allah has created us and he also looks after our needs Allah will send divine messages through the messengers according to the need of that time. Allah is very gentle and merciful to us by telling that what is good and what is forbidden for us. When you look back in your life you will always see that Allah guides us through darkness towards light. Sometimes whenever we start to go astray so we come in the spotlight. This is Rehma of Allah, this is u to reform you. When you ask Allah for guidance Allah will guide you in the best way. Allah sends us reminders throughout our life to be on track. The Quran is full of divine messages from the Lord. Allah guides the people to obey Him, worship Him and abstain from sins. Every one is different and Allah guides everyone according to their specific situation. Allah knows what you are lacking and Allah will guide you to overcome your weaknesses. Sometimes we find it difficult to tell others about the right and wrong but if we are sincere and we ask Allah then Allah will show us to the best way of how to guide others.
Our relationship with Allah is from the heart. Allah will send gentle remiders. These reminders are constant and you will hear it from every where. We are supposed to grab it from our heart and start to apply on our life. Confess to yourself that you are on the wrong. If you confess and accept it then Allah will accommodate you by showering his Blessings of hidaya on you. If you reject these reminders to follow your desires then you will go in a trap The second step; 2) Nurturing desipline. There are some people in the middle. These people don t want to reject because they know but at the same time they don t accept. They are also shy from Allah. Allah will be shy from such a person. Allah will not punish them. SubhanAllah! If you know Allah your heart will explode with love of Allah as u realize how merciful is Allah. You will understand Tawheed. Even if people are not good even then Allah covers them. If that person does not accept with the gentle reminders still Allah wants your heart to accept it. Salman al farsi said If a person just takes care of the heart Allah will reform your outer appearance. It is not us but Allah who guides us to accept and follow the correct path. We cannot do anything with out Allah help. We need to rely on Allah. If a person rejects completely from the heart and becomes stubborn towards the truth. Then Allah will send poverty and hardships. This person will be in a circle of problems. Allah says in Surah Sajdah ayat 21;
And we will surely let them taste the nearer punishment short of the greater punishment that perhaps they will repent. Allah wants you to taste the torment of this duniya which is very less as compared to the torment of the hereafter. So Allah will send trials to that person. Allah gives you these reminders so that you repent. This is a discipline from Allah. Allah send these trials to different people according to their conditions. To For Rightoeus people Sinner To upgrade them and to make them even better than before. To make him go back to Allah. The third step; There are some people who dont understand even after the nurturing discipline, they are very stubborn and proud. They donot get the lesson from the first and second step. They get the beat but they don t understand. Instead of looking the fault in themselves and going back to Allah they start to blame others. The Prophet (peace and blessings of Allaah be upon him) said: No one will enter Paradise who has an atom s-weight of arrogance in his heart. (Narrated by Muslim, 91). So proudness needs to be purified. For e.g. for a proud person at the first step he gets gentle reminders like he will be told that proudness is not good but if he rejects this then at the second step he will be get a lesson for e.g. he will be lowered by someone who is lower to him. So that he understand. Even after this reminder they remain stubborn. They still say that I am right these people are wrong. Now Al Fattah comes. Allah says in the glorious Quran.
And We have already sent [messengers] to nations before you, [O Muhammad]; then We seized them with poverty and hardship that perhaps they might humble themselves [to Us]. These are people who even after getting the reminders from Allah they have the following characteristics; Rejects it. Oppose. Giving excuse by blaming others. Remain stubborn on their sins. After this stage it is very difficult for them to be saved from this. A very minority will be saved from this. May Allah protect us from this condition. Allah tells us in Surat Al Anam. Allah tells that I sent the first and second stages to them so that they return back to Allah and they get humble and they beg and ask Allah.
Then why, when Our punishment came to them, did they not humble themselves? But their hearts became hardened, and Satan made attractive to them that which they were doing. Allah tells us about the third stage. Now if these people did not humble themselves then there hearts became hard like a rock. When Allah afflicts someone it is to make their hearts soft. When the heart is hard then shaitan who is our clear enemy and he will make our sins beautiful for us. Now even the people around them will appreciate them over their sins. This will lead them to think that we are on the right and they start to boast about their sins. If a person has no guilt at all then this is the worst situation. Now what will happen next? To be continued in shaa Allah!
