West Virginia Mission Emergency Requests As you know West Virginia has been hit with record breaking flooding and devastation. Bethany has been working in WV for several years, and we feel a personal connection to the people living in this region. We are asking the congregation and friends of Bethany to support an emergency food/supply drive during July. Since the flooding, the Summersville foodbank is the only foodbank operating right now. All the other foodbanks in and around that region have been washed out. Items that are desperately needed are non-perishable food items, basic paper products, toilet paper, bleach, and laundry soap. The plan is to deliver one load within the next two weeks and deliver another load when the Bethany team heads there on July 31 st. If you have any questions, PLEASE call Caroline Poiche at 412-498-1349. Your help is desperately needed Thank you note: While you are helping our friends in West Virginia, please don t forget about helping those living in our community who depend on the Bridgeville Area Foodbank too. WOMEN OF BETHANY SUMMER MISSION PROJECT We are again going to be providing lunches for 100 children at South Hills Interfaith Movement SHIM) Summer Program once a week for eight weeks in June and July and we need your help. We Respond to God s Word The Prayer of Commitment *The Affirmation of Faith (from Colossians 3:12-17) As God s chosen ones, holy and beloved, may we clothe ourselves with compassion, kindness, humility, meekness, and patience. May we bear with one another and, if anyone has a complaint against another, forgive each other; just as the Lord has forgiven us, so we also must forgive. Above all, may we clothe ourselves with love, which binds everything together in perfect harmony. May the peace of Christ rule in our hearts, to which indeed we were called in the one body. May we be filled with thanksgiving And whatever we do, in word or deed, may we do everything in the name of the Lord Jesus, giving thanks to God the Father through Him. *The Hymn No. 358 Love Divine, All Loves Excelling *The Benediction *The Postlude For the Cause Keith & Kristyn Getty / Stuart Townend We go with joy to reap and faith to sow As many see and put their trust in the Son. Sermon Notes: What is the one big idea I got from today s message? Where in my life does this message speak most deeply? Most practically?
