At this meeting we will call a Principal/Teacher for St. Matthew s School & 7 th & 8 th Grades. We will also be discussing the option to call a vicar. Please mark this date on your calendars and plan to attend. OUR MEDITATIONS FUND NEEDS HELP! Our annual subscription of $797 is due in early December. To date we have $632.75 in the account. If you are a regular user of Meditations, please consider making a donation towards it. Just use an envelope, mark it Meditations, and drop it in the collection plate or send it to the office. The new edition of Meditations are available in the back of church. ATTENTION VETERANS: All our veterans are asked to sign the gold sheet in the back of church indicating your military service. We would like to honor our veterans on Veteran s Day. LIKE TO EAT PIE? Like to bake pies? The annual Thanksgiving Pie Sale is coming up after all three services on November 21st & 22 nd. We need bakers. Sign up to bring pies on the blue signup sheet in the back of church. All profits go to our school s hot lunch program. SUNDAY SCHOOL TREATS. We are still collecting treats for our Sunday School students. There is a brown box under the table in the entryway for those who could donate juice or crackers or cookies. CHURCH BOOKSTORE: We have quite a number of boxes of Get Well and Thinking of You cards in stock. We are trying to reduce inventory so we are selling them at $1.00 per box. Most boxes have 12 cards. They are on the counter of the bookstore. Thanksgiving & Christmas cards have arrived. Thanksgiving cards are 55 and boxes of Christmas cards are marked. Use the drop box for payment. THRIVENT CHOICE DOLLARS: Don t forget to designate your Thrivent Choice Dollars. The process is simple. It still can be done two ways: 1. Talk with a representative by calling 1-800-847-4836 and saying Thrivent Choice. Have your Social security or account number handy. 2. Visit Thrivent.com and select Direct Choice Dollars. Join us to see authentic artifacts of arms and art from the time of the ancient Greeks to the Vikings and the Crusaders. We will be eating at The Cove in Buffalo City after the museum visit. We will carpool from church at 1:10 P. M. Admission is $6/$4 for 20 or more adults. Everyone is welcome. There is a signup sheet in the back of church. 20 AND 30 YEAR OLDS The La Crosse area 20 s and 30 s group is looking for new members. We enjoy fun events that give us a chance to meet and get to know new people as well as build up our faith (volleyball, hikes, movie and game nights, Bible Study and devotions, etc.). MARTIN LUTHER COLLEGE is now accepting applications for one full-time Accountant. Please mark this date on your calendars and plan to attend. OUR MEDITATIONS FUND NEEDS HELP! Our annual subscription of $797 is due in early December. To date we have $632.75 in the account. If you are a regular user of Meditations, please consider making a donation towards it. Just use an envelope, mark it Meditations, and drop it in the collection plate or send it to the office. The new edition of Meditations are available in the back of church. ATTENTION VETERANS: All our veterans are asked to sign the gold sheet in the back of church indicating your military service. We would like to honor our veterans on Veteran s Day. LIKE TO EAT PIE? Like to bake pies? The annual Thanksgiving Pie Sale is coming up after all three services on November 21st & 22 nd. We need bakers. Sign up to bring pies on the blue signup sheet in the back of church. All profits go to our school s hot lunch program. SUNDAY SCHOOL TREATS. We are still collecting treats for our Sunday School students. There is a brown box under the table in the entryway for those who could donate juice or crackers or cookies. CHURCH BOOKSTORE: We have quite a number of boxes of Get Well and Thinking of You cards in stock. We are trying to reduce inventory so we are selling them at $1.00 per box. Most boxes have 12 cards. They are on the counter of the bookstore. Thanksgiving & Christmas cards have arrived. Thanksgiving cards are 55 and boxes of Christmas cards are marked. Use the drop box for payment. THRIVENT CHOICE DOLLARS: Don t forget to designate your Thrivent Choice Dollars. The process is simple. It still can be done two ways: 1. MAKE PLANS for the Fellowship outing to Castlerock Museum in Alma, Sunday, November 8, 2:00 P. M. Join us to see authentic artifacts of arms and art from the time of the ancient Greeks to the Vikings and the Crusaders. We will be eating at The Cove in Buffalo City after the museum visit. We will carpool from church at 1:10 P. M. Admission is $6/$4 for 20 or more adults. Everyone is welcome. YOUR HELP IS NEEDED FOR THE FOOD SHELF The Food Box will be located on the landing of the church entryway; please help fill it for those in need in Winona. We can help them so easily by giving nonperishable food. They also can use shampoo, soap, and other general daily items. This is a year round project for the Food Shelf in Winona, but we are encouraging extra donations for the Thanksgiving month of November.
