OFFERING OF THE DAY Local: Fall Mission Appeal is a General Conference offering that supports and extends missions work around the world. The idea of sacrificial missions support originated with the literature evangelists setting aside a week during which they would make an effort for larger sales, the profit of the best day s sales to be a gift to missions. Let s keep up this spirit of sacrifice. Fall Missions receives 1.00% of the World Budget offerings. Missions and missionaries always cost to the point of sacrifice both for the ones being supported and for the supporters. Are you willing to be made willing? Thank you for your help 2. SABBATH EVENING VESPERS STARTING TONIGHT In Pursuit of Excellence THE HEALTH COMPONENT Health is a treasure. Of all temporal possession it is the most precious. Counsels on Diet and Foods CDF p.20 There are divinely appointed rules which if observed will keep human beings from disease and premature death. CDF 16 Health experts have called IPE-HC the most comprehensive and effective health program in the world. It has the potential of lifting one above the common cold or flu as well as the serious killer diseases. It is the kind of program you can invite your friends and neighbors to with no fear of embarrassment. They will be grateful that you thought of them. Hebrews is a letter to Jewish Christians. Only Jewish Christians could immediately grasp the import of what Paul was writing to them. The earthly sanctuary where they had gathered three times a year for fifteen hundred years would soon be destroyed. That could be extremely disorienting to them, especially if they still believed that Jerusalem would be the capitol of the world. Now they must look to the heavenly sanctuary where their new High Priest was representing them. That s what Hebrews does. Every Monday and Tuesday for six weeks starting Oct. 10, 11 7 p.m. For our member who pre-register there is a discount on class fees. The earthly sanctuary had two major apartments. How many does the heavenly sanctuary have? We will enter that debate. What are the differences between the earthly and heavenly sanctuaries? How many rests are there in Hebrews? Can you be a priest in the heavenly sanctuary? We meet one hour before sunset in the sanctuary preceded by 15 minutes of live music. This is a refreshing way to close the Sabbath. If you have never attended, come and join us once and you will come again. Sunset tonight is 7:02 p.m., so our study begins at 6:02 after the music.
